I actually need a powerful gun TO LIVE, everyday folks

I am a little old 5'3 women and know more about guns then most guys now day's. I would like to know what I am suppose to do when that grizzly comes back a knockin' a little ol' 22 is not going to protect me from that big momma. A little ol' 22 is not going to take care of that cougar that likes to stalk me when I am out mending fences.

And what about that pack of wolves that come in when I am hanging the cow for the freezer. You city slickers just have no flippen clue. I need a very powerful firearm to take down that grizzly at my front door. grant it someone.. like me... can take down that cougar with one shot if need be BUT I will need more then one round to take care of the flippen pack of wolves trying to eat my food.

Get the F away from my guns and the right to protect myself or you will be on my dinner plate.

You hunting bears and predators outside your house in podunk town is a conspiracy how? And call me crazy but I'm pretty sure Obama isn't banning all guns. Just the assault rifles. My goodness, just how did people in the 18th and 19th century live? !

I agree. I could not have lived on my old farm without 'guns'. Rifle for the coyotes. Big gun(s) for the up close and personal confrontation with bear. Horses - that yes - sometimes needed to be shot.

Would I use a .22 in any of those situations? Well, you know the answer as well as I do. It's no.

Did I carry ‘power’ with more than 10 when traveling into the grizz zone? You bet.

Keep something on my hip at all times because I was working alone? Right again.

Guns are nothing but a tool. You learn to use them, be responsible, take care of them and keep them out of the hands of children - just like fire.

What - we going to ban matches when these kids - without guns - start chaining the doors shut on the gyms and torching the schools? How ridiculous is that.

The underlying problems we're seeing in social aggression has NOTHING to do with guns. Too bad the government can't spend the same money getting people with needs help - instead of taking help (guns) out of the hands of people with needs.

You didn't attack any of my ideas. I asked how did our ancestors deal with this problem.I also said that the op woUldn't be losing anything she currently owns.

I attacked your ideas or we would not be speaking.. I would have no social ground here if anyone actually thought that I think any harm should come to you.

I really should respond to this...

Isn't it odd how those that do not live off the land really have no clue what life is like outside the concrete jungle. In the country kids learn to handle a firearm at really young ages. And are taught to be accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

I'm tired. I will start babbling if I haven't already. If I do not call it a night

Oh and if it wasn't for us country folk they would not have food on there table.
