The Government PSYOP mantra as of now goes as follows:

The constitution is too old and there are far too many mentally ill gun nuts and it has to be stopped.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie.

It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

Don't get confused with who the enemy is. The enemy is not the Government. There is an occupying force that is turning the power of our government against us. The Government is by the People for the People. The real government is Us!

the public can have rocket launchers, machine guns,sub-machine guns, silencers, short barrel shot guns and rifles and destructive devices we just need to pay a tax on them so now they are not banned just regulated to the point that most people with out tens of thousands of dollars can not acquire the more pricey items

I've wondered about that a long time. Is it really logical to allow a government to "tax" a right? Doesn't it sort of negate the entire concept of "rights" to allow a government to tax them out of existence?

On the other hand, who really needs a full-auto weapon anyhow? Wasteful of ammo, and all that. I don't like 'em, don't want one, don't need one, but I support your right to have a basement full of them if you want 'em. IF, however, someone in possession of such decides to go on a rampage, I also support the right of others to drop him in his tracks, make him look like a pile of hamburger, and leave him for the buzzards. Hard to do that when the "others" are entirely disarmed, however.

You're welcome, and thanks for the extra information. I'll watch the whole thing in daylight tomorrow, but having a reference to the salient point makes it easier to get to the meat of it tonight in the wee hours, without disturbing the entire house.

You're very right. I will redact "Government" from my reply. There are far greater evils pulling the strings.

At last. We have finally come to the point where Barry can't lie and push bull# about his intentions. The second he signs an EO he will be showing the true stance he has taken against the Constitution and even the half asleep people will know the truth. It's amazing how many anti-American people there are in this country now who's only desire is to destroy the final bastion of freedom in the world and make the people into slaves. It has been masterfully accomplished by these commies taking an inch at a time. We have been backing up steadily for years on issues of rights and freedom so that now our backs are to the wall. So America will you stand and defend your freedom or will you fall to your knees before your king, it is time to decide

You sure have to be an irrational, fretful and somewhat loony people to think a handgun will save you from governmental "tyranny".

If Americans are so scared of their leaders subjugating them, why stay in the country?

The president cant go against the Constitution, if they want Anarchy let them try, I will be prepare to protect my family agaisnt the war that will unfold.

Gun owners and followers of the constitution are EVERYWHERE and yes even his Secret Service and Military will protect the constitution before protecting a new "hitler"

The government will crumble very quickly with a bad decision from Obama, I just hope it doesnt happen because people will not take the abuse and they will fight back. I would not want to be the one who made the decision of dissarming the USA citizens, it will put a big red target in the back of my head............... Criminals cant wait for a gun ban or gun confiscation to happen.

This place is chock full of fox watchers apparently. Unless I'm mistaken, the president does not have the power to institute a ban on weapons, or even multi round clips.

Only congress can pass any limits on guns, and good luck with that.

So far as Hitler banning weapons.................He did no such thing, unless you were Jewish. Hitler even lowered the age from 21 to 18, for owing guns.

Love the fox noise talking points, and how once fox spews the lie, it's taken as gospel by the drones.

The Gun Control Act of 1968 essentially copied the Nazi gun control laws. People did not react that adversely to it or the National Firearms Act of 1934 as they are the threat of gun control this time. People were quite concerned by the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 but political pressure led to it being sunset after 10 yrs. This time it feels different. Why? Because of an insidious trend to disarm the American people not only of firearms but also of other fundamental rights. On top of that is the language of DHS to consider citizens who are strong proponents of the Constitution as potential dissidents (or worse) and then the stockpiling of 1.6 billion rounds of ammo for domestic use. Then we get Sandy Hook and the threat of not only new gun control legislation (led by Feinstein who would take "them all...from Mr. and Mrs. America" [not the "gangbangers, career criminals and mentally ill"]) and executive orders bordering on making unconstitutional laws without the consent of even the people's representatives and the result is a stampede to buy guns that are on "the list" and ammo of all kinds. The people are buying because they feel that their rights are being threatened.

"President Obama just said in a Press Conference that he will use his "executive" powers to introduce gun control measures... well Hitler did the same thing in 1938 and we all know how that ended. This is maybe a pretty harsh comparison, but if history showed us one thing, than it's these little things/arguments/statements that lead to bigger things - sometimes war and million of deaths - and that's not a understatement. "

Sadly its what people voted for. People had a chance to take him out of office but went with 4 more years.

Indeed, but as with everything coming from any part of the media, there is some tidbits of information and truth, plenty of people here with completely different opinions on this subject than I have voiced honest concerns that make rational sense.

Sadly, they are usually drowned out by the people repeating false talking points.

Hitler didn't institute gun control, the allies did (that's us btw). Hitler rose to power, not because of gun control laws (that makes no logical sense) but rather because he filled a vacuum. Germany was in shambles, the treaty of Versailles was seen as a disaster and treasonous. Their economy was floundering, and all of this was talking place at a time where antisemitism, real antisemitism, was rampant.

Gun control had little to do with anything in regards to his rise to power.

As well, your "elite" already have access to classes of weapons that you can't even pretend to compete with. Your long arm rifle, assault weapon, kevlar vest, all of that makes you feel warm and cozy, but it's a joke.

Do you have long range thermal imaging? How about white phosphorus? sonic weapons? Micowave weapons? How about satelite coordination... a little more advanced than google earth btw. What about drones? what about the ability to fire a hypersonic missile anywhere on earth, and hit any target, at well beyond the speed of sound?

If you think a simple gun control measure is the only thing stopping some type of tyrannical police state holocaust, you are fooling yourself, you've already lost.

You have pellet guns and paint balls, they have tanks and helicopters, good luck with that,.

NO president has the power to issue executive orders to remove constitutional rights. Just because Obama claims he can doesnt make it so. Who the hell does he think he is? How much more does he have to prove his anti-constitutional and anti-american extremism before people open their eyes?

Its not whether he has or not, its how stupid the majority are and how the MSM package it and sell it to them, then it wont matter will it

The only good thing about this, and I don't like it, by the way, is if he does sign an EO, at least the next president can get rid of it right away.

Whatever he decides to do.

As if.
Once on the books, these thing tend to remain in place.
If anything, look fot it to be expanded.

Hitler was wildly popular in Germany....yes there was a vacuum and he filled it but he and his Brownshirts and later the SS and Gestapo did make it a police state and the jews were disarmed before being rounded up.
