I have nothing to add to this thread at the moment, I simply had to make this post to let you know that you really made me think long and hard this morning after reading your OP.

Makes me think of the old adage "Do as I say not as I Do".

Exactly right!

I believe there is more logic in my argument than any argument I’ve heard from Obama and his ilk (IMO of course). The Hollywood types want us to get rid of guns; and then what? How does making it hard for me and you to buy guns make school children safer? You and I would never storm a school and kill innocent children…I have 2 young children!!!

It’s obvious that criminals ALWAYS get guns and DO NOT follow the law anyway. Look how guns and drugs (and people) flow freely across our borders now. There is no chance in hell that’s ever going to be fixed because it’s never been a priority. Any crook can pick up a gun on the street as easily as narcotics.

This is a complete ploy…this is a move straight out of Mao’s and Hitler’s playbooks. You invade people’s privacy, you slowly strip them of their rights, you control every aspect of their life, you control their health, you control their food, and finally you disarm them and render them defenseless. Once this is accomplished the government can do absolutely anything it wants. They are setting the stage for disarmament under the NWO agenda.

This is not an Alex Jones rant....I believe this is happening and the signs are everywhere. NDAA???? REALLY??? Who would have dreamed even 10 years ago that the indefinite detention of Americans without trial would be legal.

If for NO OTHER REASON, people need to defend the 2nd on the off-chance that this conspiracy is accurate because, as many have stated, once we lose guns we will never get them back and we will forever be under the complete control of whoever is in charge. That is NOT the kind of life I want for anyone, and certainly not for my children.

Great choice of locations!
Might I suggest the area around Red Mountain...Creede...Batchelor's pass...it would be a great place to be a guerrilla.
Some say the people couldn't stand up to the government's weapons of war.
How soon they forget Vietnam.

Well....obviously because I am a keyboard warrior, right?

Move along...nothing to see here.

Pretty much what I expected. Can you answer the question or not?
Why don't you defend your rights with your second amdendant firearms. Or is that a ridiculous question. Not that you're a keyboard warrior, but you like others here, talk big, but do nothing in the face of the oppression that you claim your guns are needed for.

You don't know that OP isn't "doing" something besides talking here. You know nothing about OP other than what he's written on this site, unless you're a stalker.

In my own struggles against fiction and policy, I have nullified $50,000 worth of attachments against my person. I don't spend a lot of time talking about it, because I know full well that most people (you certainly) don't care to know the truth about themselves, or about the nature of existence. I mean, we came here partly to forget what we are, so that's almost understandable.

What is not understandable, however, is the irresponsibility that most people display, such as your post I quoted above. To attempt to goad someone into foolish action is irresponsible. Using sarcasm in the context of a serious discussion such as this is also irresponsible. I don't expect you to take responsibility, but to make excuses, as any self-disempowering slave will do.

WHOAH!
GREAT BAND!
I was not familiar with Helix...that is changing fast!
Great to see another gyrocopter fan...my wife is another, she loves to "contour fly" these mountain passes, she scares me to death...(our retirement was to the Ozarks)...our second retirement may be to Colorado...especially considering the passage of the new law...Chinese eyes for eveybody!
Rock on man!

I think some people overestimate the willingness of the military to disarm average everyday citizens. I am a Marine Corps vet, 1994-1998. We were on a six month Med float (for those of you who aren't former military, the Marines basically sail around the Mediterranean on board Navy amphibious ships in case the # hits the fan). Anyways, I remember we were killing time in berthing, and one of the higher ups came in and passed out a ten question poll.

We were told we weren't required to sign our name to it, just fill it out and stick it in the box when we were done. Basically it was ten questions regarding martial law, civil unrest and our willingness to put down any resistance. So we filled it out, thinking it was kind of an odd thing, kind of out of the blue to be handed this #.

We talked afterwards amongst ourselves about why we would be given this poll, and what the general consensus was among us. It was pretty much unanimous that we would NOT fire on US citizens or disarm them.

I think there are forces at work that WANT a gun free America. Not just "assault rifles" (what a misnomer that is!) but ALL guns. Most of these people are on the left.

Are there things that should be changed regarding gun laws? Sure. Better background checks that include any history of mental illness to begin with. Although I believe Americans should be able to own those "evil assualt rifles", I also don't want Joe Schizophrenic getting his hands on one.

But banning "assault rifles" for everyday law abiding citizens because Joe Schizophrenic got his hands on one is ridiculous.

There is no logic or reasonableness to evil. You cannot debate it. You cannot reason with it.
They(government and media) are evil. They want the guns so they can have their way with us. Why is the American people giving into this debate? I said it in my last post and it was ignored.
The guns are the rubicon and those who bring it up for debate are ignorant or don't care.. You cannot debate with evil ignorance. never have, never will. There will be war if they come after the guns. Do they want war? or do they not understand? WE are a lot better off today than we will be if this debate turns to bloodshed. Mark those in the government and media who foster this debate and make sure they are on the front lines if it comes to war.

My opinion, from the UK.

I have posted in other threads my views on gun-control in the US, I won't delve into that all that again.

But I will say this..

No matter how hard the US try to ban guns from it's citizens, it will never work.

1 - (With all due respect) There are just way too many people with guns for them to control. All hell will break loose and the US will have a full revolution on it's hands with millions of people caught in the cross fire.

2 - If the US government falls into a revolution or civil war scenario, I can't imagine many countries coming to it's aid. Apart from the UK. Therefore it'll end up being a vicios cycle.

I hope nothing like this ever happens, and to be honest I doubt it will and I am sure that this whole gun control thing will end soon with a peaceful solution.

like giving mass killings less media attention, arming teachers with concealed carry pistols and tasers, encourage gun ownership.

Only if they can't hide it. The move to cause something like that might not be obvious. They are quite effective at hiding things like this. It would also be the military to see it first.
Many on this board don't listen to vets, especially the combat arms kind. They seem to equate our training and knowledge to be a factor in our desiring to use them,Most vets are just giving you a heads up.

If the US finds itself in another revolution, the entire world will change. Maybe for the better in the long term. in the short term, it will hurt all 8 billion people

I would say this makes me dangerous and un American, but on the contrary, by our forefathers standards, it makes me VERY AMERICAN...
I truly believe that depending how far "they" want to push it, the American government has little chance of disarming real Americans. I believe not only the MILLIONS of armed civilians but also some police LAW ENFORCMENT agents and PLENTY of military personnel...
The constitution will be upheld and unchanged as far as the 2nd amendment, I will bet on all the graves of all the brave folks that died to uphold the constitution.
Thumbs up post brother!
