So cool!!!

One thing I noticed straight away is in the video the doll had atleast one finger on her right hand. The doll currently up for auction is missing all her fingers on that hand. Could be the same doll & someone broke off the rest the fingers on the hand, or as you said, the other doll.

From video:

From auction:

Well I think she's stunning.
That headress is a work of art

If you get it, don't shove her in a basement...moral of the story!

I'm actually thinking she's quite a work of art.
P.S. Does someone know how to put the whole youtube video up,...instead of just the link, as I have done?

I think she is gorgeous too!! But then again I'm a fan of beaded, sparkly things. Must be the belly dancer in me.

I am sooo curious about these dolls. I'm thinking about getting the "Newton is Haunted" book just to see what it has to say about it.

One more thing.

I did a search for Eagle 99.3 (station that uploaded the video) and it turns out it is in Indiana. So this could be the second doll.

Also, I just thought to check dates.

The NKYPS investigation posted by IAMTAT on the previous page is dated as September 5, 2009
The Eagle 99.3 video is dated November 13, 2009

So if the doll was at the antique store during the investigation, then maybe you have found the second doll! Not unless she moves around alot! (har, har)

You certainly have an interesting hobby... I would say "yes" but for selfish reasons, because I want to read what happens! Your post reminds me of a book I read last year by Joe Hill called 'Heart Shaped Box.' The main character also enjoyed making 'paranormal' purchases from online auction sites... Things didn't exactly work out for that guy, but I'm sure you'll be fine!

There is something beautiful and unsettling about the doll from the pictures I can see... it reminds me of a nightmare I had when I was younger about a doll that lived in my closet and came 'alive' and tried to kill me. Creepy, but beautiful nonetheless.

I'm going to be selfish and say get it!
Then you can give us a detailed report of what, if anything, happened.

Well from personal experience I used to be "on the fence" on this issue. Trust me, if something happens to you it will knock you off that fence. I have had my own ghost experience, so I see no reason logically that a spirit could not become attached to an item they used to own at the time of death if they revered it enough.

The more I look at it, the more I love it. I can't afford to get her, so you must.

How many tragedies have been linked to the doll? Perhaps they were just coincidences. I don't know why, but a lot of people are araid of dolls that have no haunted histories at all. They are simply spooked by them. If the doll moves around from one room to another that would be wild but harmless.

If the doll isn't haunted, you could easily get your money back just for its historical value alone. She really is unique and beautiful and enchanting. Just get her.

I think she is beautiful too!

Maybe all the paranormal activity surrounding this doll and her 'sister' doll is caused by their separation? Perhaps you should try to buy both dolls? Personally, although I think they are gorgeous, I would not have them in my home...the very thought of one or both of them floating around at night gives me the shivers!

I've wondered about them as a pair. Hypothetically speaking, are they upset at being separated...or...if they're brought together is their negative power exponentially increased. They were BOTH last a pair, owned by the owners of the Beverly Hills Supper Club...and what happened there was a tragedy of historical proportions.

Why are the dolls being linked to the tragedy? Just because the owner of the place happened to own the dolls, doesn't mean the dolls had anything to do with the event. What other things have been associated with them besides moving? What information is in that book that was mentioned I wonder?

I think the dolls should be together.

From re-watching the video of the other doll, she doesn't seem very dangerous at all. The ant problem may or may not have anything to do with the doll. The cat couldn't have been teased too badly or it wouldn't have been sitting near the doll in the video. It would have kept its distance. I think I'd try to buy the doll if I were you. You know you'll regret it when the auction reaches its closing bids and you don't act.

In this vid, a woman speaks about the book but no mention of the dolls. She reads right from the book and mentions some of the history and stuff.

I emphatically agree!

Tat, I will split the cost, that'll make it affordable. In for a penny, in for a pound I say!

I wish I could flag this thread twice! VERY INTERESTING!! I wonder if there is some kind of register of famous historic dolls where these sister dolls are listed with more details about their origin and so on. I'm off to dig into that idea...

Here is The Fire That Still Rages special edition from The Cincinnati Enquirer, written for the 20th year following the Beverly Hills Club fire tragedy.

It is interesting, even though the dolls are only connected by association to the owners, as far as we know.
