Other than that, well.... "Ask and thou shall receive" Therefore, ask for proof, and do so earnestly in Jesus' name while praying to the Father, not letting go of Jesus' name.


After this is done, and you respectfully, patiently, and sincerely wait for an answer... with full faith that one will come, it will definitely come, and you will get the sign that you needed.


Faith and proof must go hand in hand.


You see so many mislead because they insist on proof as the only thing which they must have.

This thread definitely took a very different turn than I expected when I saw the OP. It looked to me like OP was just trying to announce himself as a devout Christian. That's fine.

I don't know what grand conspiracy we're all supposedly a part of.

Faith is the idea of complete trust that God exists and the dogma of religion independent of any proof, it is based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Faith with proof is not “faith” it is "fact”. if we had proof that God existed then "Faith" would die.

So you need to have full faith before you are given proof? Wouldn't someone who needs proof be lacking in faith to begin with and therefore completely invalidate what you have just said? If you have full faith and still seek proof then you would see any insignificant event as proof when you momentarily forget that the world still continues to turn while you desperately look for it.

However, this must mean that you do not listen entirely to Love, because you do not entirely posess the Truth.

You say love yourself, however, Luke 14:26 clearly states that you should hate yourself, not love yourself.

"Love your neighbor as you love yourself" This means feel with compassion as you would feel with compassion about yourself or your own pain you'd suffer. Also, couldn't it also be taken... combined with the other passage... that, possibly, you should hate your neighbor as well as yourself? Study closely here.

I will allow you the opportunity to try and do your best attempt at converting me.

I am not a Christian. Nor do I follow or practice any other religion.

I do however believe in God. I'm willing to hear what you have to preach.

But, I hope you don't just tell me that Jesus is the way to salvation.

So make it good and tell me why I should practice Christianity instead of following my own spiritual path.

just LOVE.. Love is free expression. Women can speak and can be leaders and can teach men A lot when we may need to sit down and listen..

Balance yourself in yourself and you will find much of the bible is mans ultimate instruction book to the perfect life ON EARTH as Masters.. minus the disease and goat herding..

There is some truth in the principle of male and female.. It IS creation, but I think the bible got it way wrong, and if you Study Hermetics you would see this..

I feel a little bit sorry for you OP.

If you want to discuss Christianity in absolute terms then go and join a bible studies group at your local church or a Christianity forum.

ATS will take your believes and tear them to bits, religion has its place it’s not on ATS.

If you start bible bashing, people will rightly point out many facts that will make you question your faith. For example people will start pointing out the birthday of Jesus is wrong and you’re actually celebrating on a Pagan holiday then you will also find out form ATS that most of the bible has been rewritten to suit man, in other words it is not the “absolute word of God”. Then people will start to point out inconsistencies in the bible, how there are some books missing, discuss the evils of Christianity and so on. Eventually, and you may not think it now, you will start to question your faith and if you don’t do that you will be totally freaked out by it when people start discussions about revelations or the 3 days of darkness and so on.

If you are looking to discuss your faith then ATS is not the place to do it.

If you want to discuss conspiracies then feel free to continue, that is why most of us are here, not because we are all part of some other kind of conspiracy as you have stated.

I've been through greater tests than simply some replies on ATS. I feel fine, except a bit tired, and I'm going to rest now. My faith hasn't been tested like you suggest, not even close. and that is due to no lack of your own here at ATS.

Also, I haven't ever known Christmas to be the Birthday of Jesus myself.

I just know that some people believe it is. If someone said Christmas wasn't Jesus' birthday... I wouldn't say they were wrong. I don't know.


Also, once again, I do not believe the bible is the word of God, nor does the Bible even say it is the word of God.

In fact, John 1 and John 1:14 clearly clarify that Jesus is the Word of God.


Therefore, by listening to the real word of God, Jesus Christ, I can discern what is and isn't on par in the modern day Bible.

I would say that the modern day Bible is plenty sufficient scripture in most regards.


But that's all it is, is God-Breathed scripture (if you want to say "that's ALL it is"...) it isn't the Word of God.

Regarding inconsistencies, I haven't really found any in the Bible.


There are many popular "inconsistencies" which people try to show in the Bible, but I have time and time again shown how they are not contradictory nor inconsistencies. They were simply misunderstood.


I do not question my Faith. my youth is well and done. I experience objectivity and the "reality" which many of you experience that seems to exist without God, but my faith does and will remain.


I have fallen short of the Glory of God, but we have all done so differently.


The bible does not say we are all created equal. That is the constitution or what have you of the USA.


My trials thus far would be for nought (naught?) if I were so persuaded to lose faith in a discussion here.


I came fully prepared.



Oh, and I would love to discuss inconsistencies some time... and this is not a cop out... but...

You must realize that I have responded to each and every post that was written.


So, please... I need to rest... and I probably won't catch up with the rest of them.
