To be fair, if he can come out of ATS and still believe then he truly does have faith.

Agreed in full.. In light of the OPs recent post about Women and Men I think I am done here..

Haha Star for the post up there ^

You will not have proof than what you already have, for the most part, as Jesus wants you to have faith in him. Not proof. As I told you, proof is for men.

Jesus' criteria, as you very very well know, is that you have faith, not that you have proof first and then faith.

However, Jesus has provided you proof anyway as he said. So, what is this about again?

I think Jesus would have been thrown out of town a long while before his Crucifixion if he had approached the non-believers like you. I don't imagine Jesus mockingly joking about differences of opinion and just saying "I dunno, God told me to tell you innit - you'll just have to accept my word for it" as an effective means to motivate his apostles or the people he came into contact with. There is such a thing as doing more damage than good and I think in this case you are doing a lot more damage than good. Love and positive news attracts people, not sarcasm or a "like it or lump it" attitude.

As long as it's Jesus they believe in, and I'm not the determiner of faith, not even the judge of my own.

And it doesn't matter how much faith a person has if it's not in the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

Then, it's all in vein.

no, im not the determiner or gauger of faith.
But I listen to my description from the Lord. I listen to my Judgement as best I can.

But you can prove that you were born in the US...that's the difference.

We are awaiting any proof the OP can provide eagerly.

Even If I could not prove it, the TRUTH remains... Saying something unproven can't be true is just bad logic is all I want to point out. I see it a lot..

Like monkeyboys other post I didn't respond to something like "for it to be true you would have to provide proof on ATS, but without that it's faith." Which doesn't have to be true at all.

People are often grabby at truth like if someone has it they must give it to them or it's not there.. Extortion haha.. Sometimes you just got to do it yourself.

Again I don't agree with the OP almost at all just saying..

Your own heart and own mind are the only things that can give you truth. Words on a page are a second hand truth. Is it true, or do you just believe it's true? Did we land on the Moon? How do YOU personally KNOW? Or do you just have a reasonable belief that we did with supporting evidence..

Maybe the very Idea of Truth needs more contemplation..

OK...I see your point and I agree. But, to convince others and to convert, then they need something to make them believe...to me and many others, that would be proof.

My post is agreeing with both of you I think we are all saying the same thing.
Truth is in the eye of the beholder but to convince others of your truth you need to convince them with proof....oh my head hurts lol

You are a liar, but a mouthful one.

I can hear your heart to an extent. You are still strong in heart for the Lord, but do please return to confessing by mouth, sir.

You keep his commandments daily, you keep his essence, keep his total truth as best as you can, too.

Do remember, or learn for the first time where those Holy, Good and Impossible things come from.

Incorrect, you are to deny yourself and your own ideas of (false) "truth". Only Jesus can give you the real Truth.

Correct, though, one one thing, words on a page ARE second hand truth. "God in you is closer than god in the world" that includes even the Bible.

First hand truth is Jesus.

second hand truth is the Bible, etc...

But you are to still use scripture for correction and teaching, as Jesus says.

...so that you can be directed to the one who is the exception to all of that, the one who actually does have all the answers, Jesus Christ and the Father God.

Let me know when you get an email address or number or something I guess?

And no offense OP (or to anyone else) but your registration date is a little too recent for me to take it seriously that you honestly believe everything you're saying and think women should be submissive to you. Other people should really take a look at that before responding.

*Gets into escape pod and leaves!*

Is it Jesus you refer to? Jesus is the only mediator between God and Men.

Did I say anything about this? Nope... Maybe you meant to quote another poster?

I came into this topic lightly thinking I may stick up for you if you had an interesting concept to work through about a conspiracy.. heh.. you're indefensible...

I'll still give it a few minutes, but you're not saying anything remotely new by any means..

Farewell, but I am to correct using scripture. I've done almost nothing more or less. . .

You, brother, need to understand what a man and a woman are! and what the difference is.

you might be very, very surprised.

Any millions of people could rewrite what you have but inputting their own God into each sentence. You would be a heathen in other cultures just as you cast your own so-called truth onto others.

"As long as it's Allah they believe in, and I'm not the determiner of faith, not even the judge of my own.

And it doesn't matter how much faith a person has if it's not in the Allah and the Prophet.

Then, it's all in vein."

Please sign up to a Islamist website or visit a Islamist place of worship and have the same discussion and see how you will be looked upon like you look upon us (a hell-bound heathen)

Lastly, you are a Woman, and I am a Man of Faith in Jesus Christ. Do you believe the Bible?

Then you best look into Timothy some more, do be silent and submissive while I teach. You are a woman, and I'm a man

As, like the Bible says, women can heavily mislead when speaking/attempting preach, and... you are.

I insist you don't write another post.

And I insist you get off ATS now and dont come back after that chauvinistic and ignorant post

That is a ridiculous and sexist post that only shows you for what you really are.

As a Christian I find that post highly offensive, you clearly know nothing about your religion so I suggest you go and read over your highly edited bible again.

How do you receive it if that's even the case (could be)?
through your heart and mind..
Or are you Jesus???

By the way you may want to hit up Jesus for some more truth..
He's left you in a mess on ATS.

Telling me what's correct.. pulease..

"Firstly, Jesus (for the sake of argument) led by example...not on message boards.

Secondly...the sexism in the bible was poor at the time but these days it's just outdated....I think you just lost this one."

It wasn't sexism, not in a sexist sense (as in prejudice). It was portraying the differing roles as given by God to Men and Women.

You say this because you see things in the Bible such as conding slavery. You don't realize that the BIble condoned slavery because most times in history (in fact 95%) that the Bible has existed, so has slavery.

This is not relatable to the gender roles that the Bible places, though. So, please... do not try to relate them to eachother.

The gender roles do not change.

The slavery roles are a different matter, not that they change. But not comparable issues.

And Firstly, sir...

I am not Jesus, nor did I claim to be.

But, to be Jesus like... if I wanted to strive to be... how do I know that I would not use a message board in this era? ...

Do you know? or do you have an inkling? and if so, an inkling from where? yourself?
