Please, stay in Canada.

Of course I will stay in Canada..hate dealing with cowards of America. One thing I have learned..they love to talk trash but make sure they carry a gun to get themselves out of trouble.

When they are out of their country...Americans show their true colors and will rarely utter a bad thing for fear of been beaten down...after all if your weaponless..you aren't as bad ass as you think you are...

Actually anyone with a brain knows it is not not news or journalism. It is his opinions and they are damn good ones...

But of course...you do not want rational and logical thinking to interfere with gun control talks. You want paranoid people telling ATS why guns and more guns are needed. Just because you live in fear should not stop others from having a rational conversation about guns.

What conversation is needed?
WE are protected, with a guaranteed right to bear Arms.

How difficult is that to understand?
That it logical in every way.
If WE, Americans, want it changed, then the lawful way is to Amend the Constitution via a Convention.

What rational opinion can be gleaned from a Progressive Liberal like John Stewart. I get it, you and he share a like minded idea that guns need to be restricted. That is SUPER fantastic.
He is a comedian doing a bit every night on Comedy Central.
You are a NON US citizen, doing a bit on ATS.
What conversation is to be had.

Oh, so you are a bully, going and beating down visiting Americans.
I see it now.
The Canadian bully gnashes his teeth. How very becoming.

Let me guess, you must be a Martial Arts expert, or a Boxing great.

Yeah, sure sure.

Actually wasn't trying to be an internet tough guy but the fact you took it as such says a lot about you...

I have studied Hapkido since I was six..but not an expert...more of a practitioner and I have stated this many times and I am not violent.

I do not beat up Americans or anyone for that matter...if I was that type of person...there would be no challenge.

That is why I am against guns...I for one cannot see how people are unable to defend themselves without weapons.

Because we all aren't ATS Canadian badass MOFOS that know Karate.

Question for you. Does your Karate beat .45ACP, or .40SW? Just wondering.

Not out to impress, only stating facts. and Karate and Hapkido are two different things.

Whether or not I can beat the gun the answer is no, but would I let you grab it..umm no...

Have you watched the show..if not no talking with you. You have shown you are not willing to even look at the other side. I have tried to see the other sides point of view...but have yet to see anything that comes close to rational thought process or talking points.

So shh..I am done with you..

I'll make sure to tell that to my wheelchair bound grandmother...her little friend has in one instance driven away intruders, and possibly saved her life.

Not so good in a fist fight though....

I have. What has changed from the Progressive Liberal Rants of a Progressive Liberal.

What rational discussion?
Oh, I get it. You want me to give in, and say something like "Yes, guns need to be restricted"........
Or you want me to compromise with your BS.
That is not rational.
I stand by the American Constitution on this.
That is about as logical as it gets.

You just don't like that I am not capitulating on this.

You, not being a US citizen, and not having a Legal backing on more firearms restrictions have nothing to stand on or behind.

Thanks for playing. Good luck with everything Canadian, Coffecrisp and all.

Don't be ignorant. You obviously don't know anything about America so why even try?
You have not made a decent point since you have been in this thread and you have just made blanket statements about 300 million people. Have you ever been to the US (asking for the second time)?

Have you been to America? Have you owned a gun? Do you know any gun enthusiasts? Has anyone you know been affected by guns you know for fact came from the states?

Ok, well then there's no point talking to you.

America is violent enough as it is, but it would appear that the GAE's (gun advocate extremists) want even more guns!!
That means more gun infiltration into other countries. Like mine. Think about that.

- As a neighbor and a friend of the USA, I personally feel threatened by these GAE types. I wouldn't want to live near Mexico but if they have there way, America will turn into Mexico. Too many guns! Too much violence! Believe it!

Mexico bans guns for everyone except the police, military, and body guards who are all X-military. That has not stopped bad guys from killing 50,000+ Mexican nationals or forming regions controlled by a Drug Cartel. You might want to re-think your opening comment or at least do a little research before you make yourself look any dumber. Not picking on you just your example.

Exactly OP. If we are told to get rid of our guns we are more likely to become Mexico than if we don't. Critical thinking is your friend, not emotional responses.

I think you've been watching too many movies or reading too many comic books. Either that or you can move like Remo Williams on crack.

Well if someone has a gun pulled on you..then yes it virtually impossible to disarm someone not that it can't be done but it is rare. If someone does not have a gun out ..then someone trained has a greater possibility of disarming someone before they have the chance of grabbing their gun.

My work takes me all over..so yes I have to America. My work also requires me to carry...but it is always a last resort or it is also used for when it is necessary to disable a target without casualties to you or the group.

I find it sad that you people think the only way to protect yourselves is with a weapon..when there are stories all over the world of kids, the elderly, men and women taking on attackers and succeeding without the help of weapons.

Maybe you should take a long look at yourself and feel some shame that the above people are did something you obviously cannot do without a weapon.

By the way..some of those people most likely weighed less than a hundred pounds and still survived...
So it is not as impossible as you may think.

Your whole argument here is nullified by one single term- 'Rate of Success'. Sure, some people may be able to successfully defend themself in a life threatening situation without a weapon. The rate of success in said situations is GREATLY increased when one defends themself with a weapon.

Its kind of like saying "yeah, I can make it across Lake Michigan in a boat, but I MIGHT be able to make it by swimming, so I'll do that instead, for the sake of my pride"

The most perverse argument of all is fixing the problem by inundating everyone with tactical rifles.
That's just retarded.
- Don't be so harsh on your northern neighbors. We saved your ass in WW2.

Ok buddy. As I said before, I love it up there, I have family from canada, but you are deluded. Canada is a decent ally, it isnt 'saving' anyone.

But again, I wonder why you are derailing your own thread. Youve gone from "I dont live there, but I want gun control in america" to "canada is better than america". Gee, wonder where your agenda lies

As far as inundating everyone with tactical rifles, I'm not sure where you are pulling that out of (well, i have an idea). Americans have the right to own guns. No one is forced to.
