Biden: Obama Considering 'Executive Order' to Deal With Guns

Obama would like nothing more than for the people to "get up in arms" (pun intended) over this. He would love to declare martial law and then suspend all rights and privileges. Case closed on his end. He'd even get another term after this one out of the deal.

If the idiot who killed all those people in Sandy Hook had a knife, or a sharp stick, or a rock, or a hammer instead of a gun we'd all be discussing the deplorable state of the mental health services in America.

But we're focusing on the weapon the killer used instead of the killer.

I do love the fact that many of us here, stated over the last several years that 0bama would come after gun ownership and gun owners. WE were called crazy and told that it would never happen.

When it comes to understanding America you fail, and do so epically. Or seem to only have experience with NYC and DC, and a few eastern seaboard cities. Lots of people there, and thy matter in small geographic locations... Americans, the actual majority of geographical America, also the ones with the guns .... are a rowdy bunch, very much willing to tangle with anyone including authority. In fact they're so rowdy the authority's are willing to take on their authorities. This same group in what is sometimes called "fly over country" quite frankly make up most of the military and law enforcement that would do be responsible for any such "crack down. Those that would have to be utilized to take such action are the most conservative on gun rights. Elitist liberals may can gain office via urban numbers of votes but they do not control the geography, and they do not really even control the forces that would impose such a thing......they only can have their say so far as this is a nation at peace...that breaks down, and so does their illusion of power.

Also, Britain used to have a very proud tradition in this matter. After all Americas ideals for Liberty started in England, with its best thinkers and philosophers....literally the plans for America....it's blueprint including its independence... was created by a rather important group of Englishmen...that also founded the modern Universities and modern Science... but what has happened since back home?.... now Great Britain seems like it is in a race to see who can first recreate the Nazi state. No rights to privacy, traffic cams everywhere, intrusive government even in the family, and it's ultimately being controlled by a socialist/communist group who even has the audacity to pretty much make it clear how they work with the wolf in sheep's clothing symbol. Honestly Russia right now dictator and all is still more free then Fabian Great Britain....as of now the British Police State pretends to be just a zealous nanny....but it's very clear to anyone who visits or has the displeasure of trying to do any business there what has happened....it is literally becoming 1984.... It's maybe in some ways more Orwellian then that book, in that he couldn't even imagine the ways in which technology could be used to enslave and destroy free thought. And has all that handing over your rights to a steel toed nanny got you safety? no.....of course not, the Athenians could have told you that if you bloody well cracked a history book. it's the most violent country in Europe, and has a worse crime rate then the U.S. or even South Africa....it's economy is a spiraling dystopian ruin.... and yet you want to be smug?....please save it for someone who is less informed, and less traveled.....you're country is literally the least likely place Americans or any free people would look to as an example of Liberty or Values....oh and yes you are Europeans.....you made mention of a geographical error on my part ... This talk of civil war and the government coming to take everyone;\'s guns is totally absurd, an frankly it rfrightens me that some people feel that way. If the government honestly wanted to impose some sort of dictatorship, do you think that even the unnecessarily powerful semi- and automatic weapons, even the occasion RPG that shows up in private hands could stop them?. That's just plain delusional. I notice that Biden includes the Congress, our elected representatives, in th decision making process on this matter. Go to you representatives in Congres, and I do not mean with guns. Write and call them, or go to their offices directly. Make the trip to D.C. instead of wasting your money on some automatic firearm with extended clips.
There was civil war predicted at the time of the Civil Rights movement in th 50's, 60' and 70's. too, as well as among proteters to the Vietnam War. Everytime major issues come up, it always seems to be that a few (tiny minority) threaten or predict civil war. What on earth does an ordinry citizen, sane, non-criminal, need asnything beyond a hunting riflr, a gun for sports shooting, or collecting? When the Second Amendment was passed, people needed such weapons for food and self defense in a very fragile republic. There were hostil Native Americans (unfortunately because we whits wer taking what had been their fo centuries if not millenia, and the very real fear that Great Britain was not quite ready to give up on getting their colonies back. The war of 1812. There is a lot of othe history, but the 2nd Amendment designateds arms for a well regulated militia, civilain primarily, who could be calle upon for the defense of the country, and not aginst its givernment,We were and are the government. Why can't people see that? Unless one doesn't bother oto vote or work peacefully for causes and candidates one prfers, and put some elbow grease and genuine (unarmed) passion into it? It gave us civil rights and ended the Vietnam war. A few were killed, but primarily by those on the wring side of hitory. Look at yourselves! Running intoo the woods with your family? Then what. I'm just thinking of the crooks in Los Angeles right now, they are not allowed to have guns because of crimes already committed, but they have them anyways, some of them automatic. Brought them in from elsewhere. They make their own bullets. The written law doesn't stop them. Do you suppose any order from the top is going to change their attitudes? I don't think an order will change things, only disarm some weakened homes, and increase the illegal gun-owner population.

I remember the Rodney King riots, there were crazies with fire destroying buildings and mobbing and looting. Sitting at home, having a gun available, sure helped keep a peace of mind then. It's self-defense, in case of an invasion. An executive order doesn't bring that sort of peace of mind, when the police force is at it's limit with problems.

It's not even about the weapon, but the principle of freedom that is built into the nation.

It's disgusting how mentally ill or medicated people are at risk losing their freedoms first, on prejudice. Like they are sub-Americans.

This is why the DHS has been buying thousands of rounds of hollow points, why all the FEMA camps were built, and why there were thousands of FEMA coffins stashed, I think its going down this year. The sad thing is they'll be going after all the law abiding citizens who followed the rules and registered their guns. Something needs to be done...NOW!

Some people have no clue as to the solution to the school shooting problem.

Here are some facts
Fact 1. The US constitution has a clause stating that the people have a right to bear arms and that it shall not be infringed.

Now there is no use fighting against that because its constitutional law and unless you are advocating that the repeal of the second amendment, then any other talk of gun control laws or executive orders is a non starter because it will be unconstitutional and just as that marine stated on the news broadcast, an unconstitutional law is not a law. Now, I really don't care is you don't like the state of affairs, you'll have to just grin and bear it because that is the supreme law of the land. You can yell and scream all you like but the fact remains, ridiculous ideas like Fiensteins will be struck down as being unconstitutional. So my question is why are the dumocrats seeking to force solutions that will not stand while the ensuing delays prevent us for real solutions to protect our children. How many dead children is a photo op worth. And no I am not being sarcastic. I am being deadly serious.

Fact 2: Its a federal law that makes schools into gun free zones. That's a form of gun control.

IMO that's the stupidest thing in the world. Take your weakest and our most innocent and put them in a shooting barrel for the crazies is not a solution, its recipe for disaster, a disaster that was not learned after Columbine and I doubt that will be learned after this latest tragedy and when that policy results in 20 deaths, what happens? the state wants to double down on more gun control. Another failed policy.

If we are to resolve this problem, we need to look to the constitution as the governing document and find a solution within the second amendment. We do not live in the world of ought where the world ought to be like this or that, we live in the real world. Utopias and grand ideas get people killed. What we need to do is to use the second amendment as our guide and that means training and arming school staff as the last line of defense between helpless children and crazies intent on doing them harm. If we go down the road of gun control and then the court cases that will ensue and the court will inevitably strike these these new proposed gun controls measures and so that whole exercise will be one of futility because it does not fit within the constitutional framework. Then what? Well, if there is another school shooting and we did not follow through with armed protection of school children, then the blood of innocents with be on the hands of the gun control nuts.

How many more little gun control martyrs do we have to have before we look to the second amendment to find the solution to this problem. IMO the founding fathers were really wise in their knowledge of human nature as it really exists and they provided us with the tools necessary to protect our children.

The solution is to be found within the second amendment, not in trying to pass unconstitutional laws or executive orders.

IMO if Obama does try to force gun control, then the GOP will retake the senate in two years and strengthen its hold on the house. I really think the legislation is a nonstarter and executive order is just plain stupid straw grasping to make it look like he is trying to do something. meanwhile our children remain unprotected.

I can't give you a reason why you should but my reason is I don't trust law enforcement enough to ensure that if I needed to protect myself or my family from an armed attacker they would be there in time.

I find the "pro-gun" language VERY violent, with words like "Civil Wars". They call for kiling everybody that think that gun for military should not be in the hand of civils.

The problem is not handgun, even if they can kill a lot too ( virginia tech were handgun i think, with more bullet ). But military gun are a PROBLEM !

Well to start, if you lived here in the United States where we have the right to bear arms, then I would say you have the right and the choice on whether to exercise it or not belongs to you. Nothing more practical than that needs to be stated.

I must say today's news was heard and people wanted to get their thoughts out there to warn those who are sleeping. Even Natural News added their voice.
