In this Republic and as an American citizen, his opinion DOES matter. The United States Government was created FOR THE PEOPLE BY THE PEOPLE! They are public servants, not Kings or "officials".

This is simply the typical liberal mentality though. GIMME GIMME GIMME SHUT UP AND GIMME! If you don't believe in the founding principles of this nation, please do leave. Communist China might be a better fit.

I'm not a conservative, nor do I vote based on party. I vote based on the right man (or woman) for the job. George Bush was a disaster, something we can agree on. Obama is worse.

How is Obama worse??? Lol

Is your brain oxygen deprived?

Math - 6 trillion in debt for "one" term. Bush - 4 trillion in "two" terms. I am no math expert but I can say that the accumulation of 6 trillion over 4 years = more unfunded spending than 4 trillion over 8 years.

Neither of them were/are good for the nation. The difference in my book is Bush actually cared about American Exceptionalism. Obama I think genuinely wants America knocked down a peg or two...

Riiiiiight. SS, a program which has been in the black since its inception, is an entitlement. Okaaaaay.

How many times ?

How many people are so ignorant to have no clue how SS works?

People only pay 6% employers match that contribution at another 6 % not a single person in this country pays the full contribution for the benefits received.

SS is a program which we pay into.

People only pay 6% .

Perhaps fighting a war we NEVER PAID FOR, at the exact same time we cut taxes for everyone is what ERASED CLINTON'S SURPLUS AND CREATED OUR CURRENT DEFICIT.

How about don't create social programs that don't pay for themselves eh not a single program is self funding noone are they are funded by taxing some people that doesn't cover it, and then raise taxes to cover the difference.

There was no clinton surplus a favorite lie.

But conservatives voted for Bush twice...

You are guys are the conservatives, it is your philosophy
That is the news flash.

The difference is the economy got worse from the time
Bush came to power. The economy has gotten better since
Obama has been elected. Simple math.

And why would an egotistical man like Obama want to
Be remembered as the father of American decline?

Lets us some logic here

The math doesn't lie

Under President Bush: At the end of calendar year 2000, the debt stood at $5.629 trillion. Eight years later, the federal debt stood at $9.986 trillion. Under President Obama: The debt starte
d at $9.986 trillion and escalated to $15.3 trillion, a 53 percent increase over three years.

WOW! The denial runs deep with this one. Isnt the ATS motto, deny ignorance ?

Clinton had a budget surplus when he left office. Thats a fact. The national debt has not eliminated, but a budget surplus was gained. I love it how all the tea partiers and the know it all libertarians will do anything to attack Clinton for a surplus. If the good doc Paul had done it, then you guys would be saying the opposite.

Yeah it does considering the national deficit was 5.6 trillion when Clinton left meaning this country was still in debt meaning

NO SURPLUS

Or anyone can "claim" a surplus when they steal cash from SS and left it with IOU's either way total fabrication.

I am a fiscal conservative and a social liberal - I think the disabled and elderly deserve to be taken care of. I think people should for the most part be able to do what they want (own guns, a 500 horse power car, eat meat, drink a 60 oz soda, eat only tofu, be gay and get married, abort babies, smoke, drink do drugs, have 20 children with 19 different dads...I could care less) but don't expect me or others to underwrite your stupid decisions with our taxes. Make your bed - sleep in it, is all I ever insisted in society.

You know nothing about me at all.

Please show me how the economy has "improved" under Obama's leadership ( and I use that term loosely).

Fewer American's in the workforce, more on welfare and food stamps (unprecedented levels) slow if any growth in GDP. Budget deficits (not that he has actually passed a budget or lived by one) soaring and the national debt compounding at twice the rate... How is that better? A kill list, GITMO still open for business, health care set up for a crisis so he can swoop in with a single payer system... He is a gem of a leader. All the while he sits back and leads from behind. Michelle may like it that way but personally it’s not my style.

Regardless of the facts, he knows he won't be remembered thus... He will at worst go down as the "first African American POTUS, as if that is some kind of accomplishment he earned. Neat, he was born with more melanin than most Caucasians. No historian would dare disparage him as they would be lambasted as racist. He knows that, they know that - it is in effect a golden ticket.

The media will make it seem that he tried so hard but the Republicans were just so blinded by hate and unacknowledged racism that they are the ones to blame. He will laugh all the way to the bank (reaping billions in speaking fees) having exacted his goal of knocking America down a peg or two. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the media - that will not change.

At worst he will be the guy who tried to do the right thing but was wronged buy the do nothing congress.

At best the sheep will eat it up and elect a Democratic congress in 2014 in which case he will go hog wild with progressive nonsense...

It will take years for the effects to be realized by then it won't matter - Amerika will be in full 1984 mode and there will be no disparaging the Dear Leader.

Before or after blaming Bush? First term or second?

Let us look at it.........

Economy: We're told Friday's jobs report is evidence of slow and steady progress. But it actually documents the new normal of Obama's economy — anemic job growth, chronic long-term unemployment and falling wages.

Meanwhile, the pool of long-term unemployed was a staggering 4.8 million in December, which is 2 million more than when Obama took office. The average length of unemployment was 38 months — almost 20 months longer than four years ago and 15 months longer than when the recession ended in June 2009.

Ho Hum, It's Another Lousy Jobs Report For Obama

Cause hes just THAT good............

Policies?

November’s presidential election was doubly historic: Not only did it ensure Barack Obama a second term, it ensured George W. Bush a fourth.

Obama Begins His Second Term—and Bush’s Fourth Obama has carried forward Bush policies that are most expansive of government power.

You cant blame Bush, when you ARE Bush, can you?????

This is going to make some people cry.

Did Bill Clinton's Budgets Really Destroy the American Economy?

www.forbes.com...

www.businessinsider.com...

Interesting read of how we got here.

Someone runs a surplus they are taking too much money from the people.

Someone runs a deficit they are taking too much money from the people.

Hence a spending problem.

I never undstood that for 6 decades we were told communism was evil then one day someone decided to start doing business with them.

As other countries develop in to 2nd and 1st world status the piece of the American pie gets smaller which also means less GDP which means less tax revenue, which means less economic output;.

So yeah I agree with that.
