I think we are way off topic here, but would enjoy discussing reincarnation with you in another thread.

Don't know where the OP went, either.
Sorry if the thread got killed....

EDIT: Thanks, mask.

The majority of the human population are the anti-christ.

Okay, thanks. So - "more than one" is your answer.

Hmmmm.

I'll buy it, insofar as the majority of the human population are greedy, selfish, and not following the recorded "teachings of Christ".

Going to church and wearing a cross for a necklace DOES NOT indicate a person who lives according to the rules of humility, charity, tolerance, acceptance, and forgiveness, any more than my standing in the garage makes me a car.

exactly christ himself taught that god was not found in a house of brick and stone..........

people forget this and churches especially the catholic church kept this from people......

He beat and ran out the money changers in the temple............

Yet people think its good for churches to ask for money? and think nothing of it?

bollocks all of it...........jesus conviened to teach........and that was it........and it wasnt in some temple...........

and then he sent them out among the people..........not to build churches and take money......

but to spread the teachings...........

Organized churches and religions fly in the face of what The Christ was doing.......

Yup. See my edited post above yours.

Jesus also taught reincarnation: "You are all gods, and can do what I do."
Mohammed was a late-comer.....and Muslims (as far as I can tell), feel he was the last prophet....
yet, the Ba'hai faith has a later-still comer,
and THEIR faith actually seems to be the most peaceful of them all.

If one is going to follow organized ABRAHAMIC religion, I recommend looking into Ba'hai. I don't subscribe to it, either, but I've learned about it, and visited their temple and reading room and visitor's center in Evanston (Chicago).

Well I suppose what is more astounding is the fact that you felt the need to "peruse" my ATS history. I can think of a few psychological reasons behind that, but, lets keep this borderline civil, as you have.

My post to you was a one liner, but thats the only correlation between what I said in my previous posts to trolls, and what I said to you. Your ignorance about the Muslim people astounded me. Perhaps it is your inability to see through the generalizations and stereotypes of this world, like so many others.

There are extremists. There are governments and powers that go to war. There are "conquerors". There are also Muslim people that are NONE of the aforementioned. You requested oh so politely to "please stop conquering". You do realize this is from the Quran right? You do realize that the Bible, Torah, and any other book you read will mention conquering of other civilizations. Why do you have such perceived bias and hatred against the Muslim people?

Your post implies borderline hate speech against Muslims, and I don't appreciate it. Hence the one liner pointing out your ignorance to humanity.

I have a feeling a bunch of born agains and zionists have settled on your thread. You see, born agains and ziochristians are our equivalent of the taliban and they are just as violent or may be more.

And when is this great conquering of "Constantinople" going to take place? Can you guys just stop trying to conquer others, please? Seriously, I've seen plenty of Muslim zealots saying Islam will conquer the whole world. What is up with that?? "Live and let live" doesn't translate well? How about giving us some uplifting insights so the rest of the world isn't in constant dread of "Muslim Conquerors." Please?

I've seen how the British, French, German, Spanish, Portugese, and Dutch have massacred natives and destroyed villages just 2 centuries ago. The Germans were also on a quest for world domination 70 years ago. Then the US and USSR were at war. I don't know where the Muslims came in. The world in constant dread of Muslim conquerors? Hah! Just take a look at how islands and forests are still being destroyed and natives being terrorized by corporate companies. The only conquerors I see are the capitalists.

i would be mortified!!! And i was amazed at your casual reaction, a "huh!!" just that?

Yep, just that!

What good would it do to panic? (The sun is not going to rise in the west unless the planet stops and begins to spin the other way, and if that happens, we're all goners. And no hero is going to show up and save us all, either.)

You might be wrong about that

But I suppose if you are a 7th century Arab who thinks the sun goes around the earth then its not a big deal

Narrated Abu Dhar:
The Prophet asked me at sunset, “Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?” I replied, “Allah and His Apostle know better.” He said, “It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: “And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing".

Your ignorance about the Muslim people astounded me. Perhaps it is your inability to see through the generalizations and stereotypes of this world, like so many others.

I see through generalizations and stereotypes very well - it is my profession. I read your post history to see whether you ever contribute anything but insults - it's a method of preparing oneself for a thoughtful response to someone who has attacked them -
what I discovered, like a psychological investigator would do (which is what I am, "smart guy", and more than twice your age), is that you are a 26-year old cop who dated a Muslim for a while and thinks the rest of the world are idiots.

Just because you dated a Muslim doesn't mean that SOME extremists aren't wanting to conquer the world; any more than my having dated a Mexican means that SOME Mexicans aren't trafficking in humans or are drug cartel lords and thieves.

The language used in the OP described "conquest," and presented this "Dajjal" thing as "FACT." In my experience and opinion, any "religion" that celebrates slaughter and ignores science is barbaric - and has no validity in the world today. I replied to the OP with a tone that reflected the "conquering" part of his religion's premise, and his presentation of it as "fact."

It was you who "pigeonholed", "generalized" and decided I was IGNORANT.
I was pointing out to the OP how counterproductive the act of conquering is, and that what were once held as "facts" have Long Since been proven as myths.

So save your analysis of me and work on your own insight.
All it takes is ONE PERSON with his finger on a button who decides to "conquer", and we're back to the stone age.

PS: The "Cake or death" thing just sailed right over your head, too!!
I've been studying world religions for longer than you've been alive. Do a Google for "Cake Or Death," Ryan, and then watch the source video. It's easy to find. Stop assuming and expand your horizons. Your point count might go up a bit.

I think WildTimes has done a very good job of presenting her opinions with class here (and maybe a bit of humor). She certainly hasn't used any of the tactics that many on here are known for. She is obviously well educated and those that attempt to spew propaganda have a tough time with people of education.

Anyway, my beliefs are very similar to WildTimes and that is why I'm posting this. I, too, at a young age grew to realize that the faith I was taught as a child (Catholicism) was the wrong path...not just for me but for anyone. My father died some 28 years ago now and at that time I started to read about all religions. My faith came from that reading.

Today, I believe in God but I do not believe in religion. Religious dogma is a joke. Why does anyone need more than God? Every religion has its story of how we started and etc...some very similar to others...great. Common sense tells us that most of it is just silly nonsense. I also believe Jesus was a man.

I'm a Buddhist by philosophy but not religion. Again, I do not believe in religion. I simply believe in God. What my philosophy teaches me is that life is very simple. I like simple things. Humans like to complicate things. In God's world, there is no religion. There is no hate. Sadly, hate and religion go hand in hand. Humans created religion and humans are full of hate. God created humans so God allows them to be humans. If he didn't allow humans to be humans would that make any sense?

Believe what you want, but we are all going to the same place when we die...no humans have privilege over others...no religion holds more truth than others...they are all filled with lies...created by men to control men...

I also do not fear death...my faith is that strong. If I had to go tonight, I would be ready. I guess I should also quickly touch on the subject of the "Antichrist" since this is what the thread is about. There is no Christ, therefore, no Antichrist. There are us silly humans and there is God. We have all always been here and we all always will be ..just like the universe...

Saw a shooting star (falling asteroid) on the way home tonight over the highway. Big fiery one...beautiful. Of course, that was God's way of winking at me....

Just like all religions present their own beliefs at fact. You acknowledged that you believe in reincarnation. How is that scientific? Is it now barbaric? Is it primitive? Is it stone age? I don't know how the use of the word conquest means that OP is calling for slaughter. Look at this forum. It's about religion. If you expected people to be here bashing religion, let me tell you, you are completely wrong.

If you expected people to be here bashing religion, let me tell you, you are completely wrong.

Really?
I come here every day. Lots of people "here" bash religion; constantly. All the time.
My efforts here are twofold:
To understand how the acutely religious stay with their unfounded (scientifically) beliefs,
and
To present alternative ways of thinking....

Toward the end that we can understand one another, tolerate one another, and dispel the ignorance of "fundamentalist dogma" that has proven over and over again to be counterproductive to world peace.

What does sometimes surprise me is that many people who come here have had no exposure to other faiths whatsoever. I find it hard to comprehend how someone can survive to adulthood, look around them, and not wonder what other people are thinking or why they aren't in "agreement" with each other.

I think exactly this, too ^^^

(And thanks, Texture, for the complementary remarks!)

Rim Daas said all religions hold up their beliefs as "fact" - I'm not so sure I believe that;
but, yes, as you said...they are superfluous when one understands the basic FACT that we should treat other people they way we want to be treated. That one is indisputable, and needs no "mythology" attached to it. IMO, anyway.

This surprises me as well. I decided to learn about all religions so I could understand what everyone believes so that I could decide (and be sure about) what I believe. I still read about other religions for the same reason, to embrace the beliefs of others. This is truly how we all learn to love one another not hate. Again, religion is filled with hate.

Deny ignorance is the mantra here yet many seem to live in a box...

And there is plenty of bashing in this forum...whether about religion or otherwise. Those that bash, about religion for example, usually do so because their beliefs aren't all that strong so they lash out at the beliefs of others to somehow strengthen their own beliefs. Of course, it doesn't work...

Namaste!

Your ignorance about the Muslim people astounded me.

Just this one poster or a majority of the western world.

I do not think that was the intention of Wildtimes to sound hateful.

I believe the word conquer is a misinterpretation of the spread of the Islamic ideology world wide through discovery of Allah via the Qur'an.

To conquer sounds like to force, however when a person discovers truth, usually that truth will conquer their mind, it will force them to perceive the world around them differently.

Much of what was spoken and written in the past has been misinterpreted purposely for the concept of divide and conquer, where as Islam or any other ideology for that matter try to unite and conquer.

You can use all the long words you want. But this is what you are saying.
I am here to:
Talk about how other religions are wrong
And bring some other 'way of thinking' which could also be wrong

Peace will never exist. Cling to some silly words and try to pretend that your belief is somehow special or different. Even if religion didn't exist, there would be war. Greed, jealousy, hatred, vanity, arrogance. Those are just a few.

The only person living in a box is you. You coo about peace and love. Look at the goddamn world around you. If you knew how 90% of the people live, they don't live a relaxed life like you with safety, shelter, and a good job. Even if everyone did live like that, there would be no peace. So please stop preaching and look at life at how it is. It is cruel. It is merciless. It will not spare you. Forget about love. Most people will not give it, religion or no religion.

RD...you don't know me so please, don't act as though you do. You have already decided I live a relaxed life with safety and shelter and a good job. Where did this come from? You appear to just want to bash anyone and that is fine if that is how you choose to live your life. My most recent "work," just to give you some idea of how wrong you are, was helping out at an orphanage in India for over 200 children whose parents had or have AIDS. About 100 of the kids also have AIDS. I was there for 3 years.

My "safety and shelter" come from God if He chooses to provide me with such. If He doesn't, that is okay too. Peace comes from within and from faith. I give love every day of my life. That's how I get it in return. People like you spew hate and wonder why you are miserable...ironic how that works. Hate is easy and that is why people like you choose hate...love takes work...
