There are NO rights, NO freedoms, without RESPONSIBILITY.

Until people accept the latter, they do not have the former.

Simple. But humans are inherently stupid and arrogant and selfish. And thus it'll be a long long long time before they get rights and freedom

I'm not a liberal and I support the right to bear arms... care to keep going?
Take it to another thread perhaps?

ETA I've also been to London, all of Ireland...several times, Paris... they're lovely places.

I actually couldn't care less about America and have never got involved in a discussion about US politics or such like.

And is it REALLY necessary to pepper all of your POSTS with random capitals, it achieves nothing and just makes your point get lost in the visual assault of different, pointless styles.

Also, you clearly don't know much about the UK, so I don't know why you feel qualified to comment on how our country is run and as you obviously do not like us very much, I do not know why you feel compelled to keep posting on a thread about UK laws.

But it is a free country, so do carry on posting if you wish and I shall hinder you no further by taking up your time replying to my questions as I won't be asking any more.

Good day to you kind sir...

Heads up

The title of this thread, and the subject of discussion here is

"Man arrested after online rant against Liverpool and Hillsborough disaster victims"

It isn't "lets start a territorial pissing contest between the US and the UK.

So let me make this clear, that rubbish stops now, ok?

As for peoples opinions - on ATS you are expected to be CIVIL, not act like you are in a schoolyard. I hope that's clear.

If you feel the need to be childish and uncivil, there are plenty of other places on the internet you can be right now.

This is the only warning I'm going to give. Heed it.

I'm not a liberal either... care to keep going?

Then if you are not "liberal" than what are you? "Ultra-liberal" then?

I used to be one, I can sense you all a hundred miles away. You "liberals" and Ultra liberals" couldnt be more wrong when it comes to gun control issues. There are some exceptions of course...

No the topic is not about FREEDOMS the topic is about Man arrested after online rant against Liverpool and Hillsborough disaster victims

What is your opinion on that? what's your position on Hillsborough? Do you think the man in the video was right or wrong to say those things? Was he right or wrong to make violent threats against the citizens of an entire city?

Was it right or wrong that he was arrested for saying these things? Remember to keep it in a UK perspective relating to UK laws not US ones though.

Thanks

Back on topic.

I am all for freedom of speach even if contraversial or against popular opinion.

But if it goes into the realm of slander, promotion of violence, or attacks on indivials and there familys the it should be illegal.

But prison sentances are abit to far. For things like this fines, restraining orders and caustions should be the punshiment.

As I've said, I support the 2nd amendment... so you can leave your reactionary responses where they belong. You're spouting off all kinds of ignorance here and I take major issue with that.

It is completely immature to go around acting all defensive by being offensive, some person from the UK knocked your nose out of joint in a thread on gun control so you've decided to pop off at every one of them in retaliation? Here's a word of advice since you are so concerned with fighting for rights... stop tilting at windmills, anyone in the UK can't attack nor defend our 2nd amendment. All they can do is opine, so it really shouldn't matter to you what any one of them has to say on the matter and certainly not to the point where you're going to pop into every thread on an English matter to 'get back at them'.

Grow up.

Which part of what I wrote earlier is unclear?

Which part of the ATS T&C's about staying on topic and being CIVIL are unclear?
