I love me some human alien!!!!


And one thing, this is different from 9/11. As SO himself even said. SH threads involved implicating innocent civilians, posting of license plates and private information, to addresses! 9/11 implications never went there. It implicated public figureheads. You may disagree, but I continue, and others do as well, that here is a difference between SH and 9/11. A big one.

Anyone can practice thier freedom of speech and start their OWN website saying whatever they want (short of libel), but the owner of ATS has made it clear what will and will not be accepted. You don't have to like it, but I think anyone who wants to be a member needs to respect it.

I think you summed it up nice there. Some seem to think they are on the street and fail to realize this is a website with an owner that has rules.

I have to agree with this. I understand that the owners of this site are human beings and as human beings we all have feelings and emotions which sometimes override our ability to stay objective. I respect them more knowing that they are compassionate human beings just like the rest of us. However, leaders and business owners must hold themselves to a higher standard. Its not fair and its not even just barely more than possible sometimes. But that's the way it is.

You grew your small, cozy, and manageable group to an enormous entity with millions of unmanageable, unpredictable, emotional, and wholly unique followers. You did this willingly and with purpose. The growth changes everything and it comes with an enormous amount of responsibility. You chose to take that route. Like I said....its not entirely fair that you have to now be something close to superhuman in your dealings with the people here. But that's just the way it is. Its like being a parent. You can't just fall apart and start ranting at the entire group because a few dissapointed you.

I quite honestly can not believe that this issue is STILL carrying on with the site owner at the helm.

S.O. I truly thought that you would be able to get yourself together between last night and today, but quite honestly..its like you are a totally different person all of a sudden with the passing of this terrible tragedy in Connecticut.

If you are angry with some of your followers then tell them exactly what they did wrong (and I do mean exactly...not just broadly waved generalizations), make new rules if your current frustrations are not covered in the ones we have now, and bring the hammer down on the ones who have violated the current rules if they are already in place. But stop yelling at the rest of us. And stop putting yourself up on display as an emotionally unchecked ranter. And for pete's sake...pull yourself together man.

I tried to be subtle and gracious and avoid pushing you into a corner last or pointing any fingers. But this is your baby, S.O. Pull it together and take care of business so that ATS can move forward and continue to grow into what you want it to be.

Thank you, and thank you, and thank you some more. Keep up the excellent work. And know, we are with you every step of the way. I made a heroes of Newtown thread discussing the heroic actions of those teachers sacrificing themselves to save children. Even that, I felt like I did too soon. But I did it because of so many on the CT of Sandy Hook. I felt the board could use something positive in such a horrible tragedy.

That's okay. I'm not here for a popularity contest.

But, lack of what evidence? I didn't realize the detectives and the Feds were keeping you abreast on their every move, find, motive and conclusion.
There just seems to be this tremendous void of respect but a whole lot of unfounded speculation instead.

I ain't posted on any SH threads because I have nothing to add to the topic. It is a tragedy. Tragedies happen from time to time. Doesn't mean we stop being who we are.

Maybe some of these people are not heartless, just nuts..

If you want to discuss a horrific tragedy, and make it a conspiracy. (And yes make ita conspiracy, because mis reading 'evidence' you honestly dont know anything about, me too, is leaping to conclusions.) Then make your own website.

Oh my gosh people.

This is about COMPASSION. It's as simple as that.

The owners have every right in the world to do and say as they wish. It is THEIR site. THEY have built ATS into what it is,and if they want to state their FEELINGS about this, than they can!

I really can't believe the self-absorbed comments I am seeing. Go start your own flippin message board.

I am personally grateful that they are attempting to keep ATS a place where I want to post.

The rules are already in place, but that doesnt mean people are following them. Both Springer and SO have stated the site's stance on this topic. It is not THEM who is creating the issue here. It is the outright lunacy and lack of any evidence, while dragging people through the mud with accusations that have no merit that some members are using in an attempt to serve their own ego.

As I have been saying all along with this subject, there are many questions that need answers. And likely, we will never get some of those answers. Some of the questions CANT be answered. We should try and answer them as much as we can. But we cant just make up questions and answers for the fun of it.

There was a point where ATS was a conspiracy site that was a place that could be held to a higher standard than most of the other sites out there. Taboo theories were brought up, but once proven false, were left to evaporate into the ether. On the topic of sandy hook, however, even the theories that are shown to be false, or that lack any evidence to merit any consideration, have been continuously stated as fact. All logic has been ignored. And those who point out the lack of evidence and/or logic are vehemently attacked.

I, for one, am thrilled to see Springer and SO clamp down on this topic. Discussion needs to be had-but lets all remember, this is not GLP. There are standards here.

A crime has three crucial elements. Means, motive, and opportunity. Adam Lanza potentially had the means and opportunity. However, the motive leads straight to Obama's doorstep. And guess what, the CIA/FBI/Military Psy Ops Dept/etc all had means and opportunity too! They lied about 9/11, and they can lie about killing little kids too! I'm tired of all the employees not even trying to hide the real reason they're here!

I respect and affirm the T&C of this community: The prohibitions on posting personal information, the admonishment to show courtesy and respect in our communication with one another, and the instruction to avoid discussion of certain legally sensitive subjects.

I do, however, reject the appeal to emotion that underlies the suggestion that open discussion of the Sandy Hook shooting should be suspended on the basis that it is offensive or insensitive to the feelings of those touched by the tragedy.

I understand that this has been a difficult and frustrating incident for the Owners and Mods. I would like to remind both Springer and S.O. that I am innocent of all that they have righteously and rightly condemned. My purpose in this thread was, is, and will remain: the continued defense of free inquiry in the face of popular rejection on the basis of perceived emotional insensitivity.

I encourage Springer and S.O. to carefully read my statements, and determine for themselves that this has been the case.

I hate to reiterate things but...

If this is a conspiracy of any sort (please note: IF) then it has nothing to do with "gun control"- But what I do is is a "line being drawn" in what we can question and an emotional divide from people on all sides.

This has "divided" the nation more than anything I have seen- Even non political folks are debating "gun control" on facebook-

If there IS a conspiracy, its to stop meaningful discussion- These victims have all but been forgotten and are being used as by everyone to further their agenda.

It doesn’t seem like anyone is interested in the facts anyways they seem more preoccupied with throwing stuff at the wall to see if it sticks and flaming at the rules.

But what if you're heartless? Apathetic? Using your energy in a negative, erroneous and counter-productive way?

Sometimes people DO need to check themselves and straighten out.

I too haven't been that active on these threads (until I received SO message earlier) because in my heart and my logic....I just don't see a conspiracy. Not even remotely.

But the Alex Jones fan club sure do. They see this as a pre-staged event (with ACTORS too) to eradicate the 2nd amendment while the media mislead them on purpose due to the real agenda.
When does this stop?

People seem more concerned about their gun Rights right now..... than the lost of 27 lives last week. It's just unconscionable to me and many others.

So do some people need to change? You're damn right they do.
