I looked and looked, the saiganov has quite a larger gas tube than an SKS ... I just don;t see it. Not saying you are wrong, just saying I don't see it. The barrel looks too thin too.

They Make Saiga's in .410 as well. It's a saiga. I have an S308 & Saiga 12. Originally back on the 16th I thought it was a benelli because I was watching the vid on my iPhone, but once I saw it on the Comp, it's clearly a saiga.

We have what is called "gun free safety zones". This measure was passed during the Bill Clinton administration. As you can see by the example given by the VA Tech shooting, Columbine, and now Connecticut, as well as the Aurora Shooting in Colorado - these mass shootings happened by mentally unstable persons in a gun free zone - where not one person was legally able to carry a weapon to defend themselves.

Adam Lanza's mother was about to have him committed (according to neighbors) and this is being speculated as to the reason he snapped. (here is an article written by a mother experiencing the same thing gawker.com... )

We also have a greater problem with gang violence than you guys are experiencing. It is even spreading to Canada now.

Leaving people defenseless is a great crime. especially when a politician is telling you that you shouldn't have weapons, yet they travel with heavily armed guards.

Our teachers are trained in CPR and basic first aid, because it was discovered that the time it took for first responders to arrive was often times fatal. Now there is a push for school administrators and teachers, if they so choose, to receive firearms training and carry concealed. It is especially strong in Texas and Utah.

So to summarize, the weapon the cop gets out of the trunk of the vehicle in the video might be...

1. A Bushmaster AR-15 (in my opinion, no) - This would indicate that the shooter didn't use such a weapon to murder innocent children and school staff, thus providing compelling evidence that at minimum this tragedy is being exploited as a PSYOP.

2. A standard configuration semi-automatic shotgun with tubular magazine (in my opnion, no) - This would have no bearing on the case at all since such firearms are pretty run of the mill and entirely legal in CT. Shooter may have brought it along but didn't use it.

3. A Saiga "Assault Rifle" style semi-auto shotgun - think an AKM on steroids (in my opinion, that's what I saw on the video) - this is a serious development because it would indicate that the supposed owner of the firearms, the shooter's now-deceased mother, was possessing it illegally or that it was otherwise acquired illegally by the shooter.

4. An AK or an SKS with an aftermarket Tapco style Dragunov stock (in my opinion, maybe - but I don't think so). Depending upon the configuration (stock, pistol grip, bayonet lug, magazine capacity, etc.) this was also possessed illegally if it was owned by the shooter's late mother.

One of the salient points of all this which people don't seem to be noticing is that unless specifically authorized, possession of a weapon such as a Bushmaster AR-15 is a felony in Connecticut. The MSM keeps saying that the weapon was "registered" to the mother, but CT gun laws say that such weapons are "assault rifles" and are evil and therefore banned. This means the weapon was obtained illegally from out of state. CT still has the AWB. Any CT firearms owners able to clarify the gun laws there?

If the main weapon used in the massacre was illegally possessed, then it clearly proves by example that assault weapons bans are ineffective since they did not stop a deranged psycho from murdering those innocent young ones.
