Ok, tin-foil hat time. Consider that this was carried out in a planned manner, with easily accessible guns. It is sounding more and more like an FBI informant provided the means, then failed to procure an arrest. And Obama fighting back tears on teleprompter? Really? Less than 6 hours and already calls for new legislation on NPR? Really? Cops were at the father's house (reportedly) at 0915 but the shooting didn't start till 0930? Really? Girlfriends in a purple van dressed as a nun? Please!

Someone tell me how I'm wrong to see this in this manner. Show me how the systematic dismantling of our shared national identity doesn't go into warp-drive over this.

I say again. Something is very, very wrong here.

I'd forgotton about the visiting of Peter Lanza in Hoboken at 9:15 and (finding his "body" and declaring him dead.)
If that were not suspicious in it's own right, Peter Lanza must have been living under a rock to arrive at his Stamford home just minutes after the police left, with a lone reporter asking him questions instead.

He claimed not to know or have heard anything about:
1) His alleged demise.
2) His son Ryan being accused as a suspect
3) His ex-wife being murdered.
4) Cops seeking him in Connecticut for an interview.
5) His son Adam being accused.

i am in synch with your view...

but i do not believe he was a hypnotized Manchurian Candidate

the phrase "Never let a good Crisis go-to-waste" is very pertinent here...and is what is unfolding right now
the police state will get even stricter with the current administration & leadership that will persuade the masses that a dictatorial executive is the answer

the more appropriate action would be to provide massive security protocols in a lock-down, access restricted learning center to guard against RX, doped up psychotics with death wishes and doom worldviews

In events like this I always try to be open minded but obviously get drawn one way or the other but I don't know if it is the amount of deaths or whether it's because it is children, I don't want to believe it's any type of shady government op. Probably just the way I'm dealing with it.

With say the Aurora shootings there were a few red flags for me (Just to me maybe but enough to warrant further open mindness)
With this there isn't a lot of red flags and sheer horror of it all makes me sincerely hope things have not got to that level, though again you have to stay open minded.

What an odd thing for the reporter to focus on, no Christmas lights... Why bring that up?

If he died after the shooting, and the shooter shot himself, how did he die? Suicide? Murder?

I have been talking to my wife about this very topic. The escalation of these events seem to be heading somewhere to to meet some goal.
A mass shooting by an armored psycho(s) in a place that idolizes gun-play(movies) for adults
A mass shooting by an armed psycho(s) in a place of worship to affect faith
A mass shooting by an armed psycho(s) in a shopping center with all ages of people involved
And now a mass shooting by an armed psycho(s) in a school with innocent children
This effort is doing two things. One making people fear leaving their own home, and two bringing all walks of life together against one common enemy.
I also get the impression that they (whoever is organizing this) is getting desperate. I cant imagine something worse than hurting kids. If next week we get a report about a shooting in a nursing home, well that will cover about everything.
I just know one thing. I will be a criminal if they ban guns, because I REFUSE to give up my 2nd amendment to protect my family.

Don't forget about the workplace shooting that occurred in Minneapolis in September where shooter killed 5 former co-workers and injured three, and also the spa in Milwaukee in October where 3 women were killed and 4 others injured, July 9 soccer tournament in Wilmington DE where 3 were killed, May 29 coffee shop Seattle where 5 were killed, and of course a psychiatric hospital in Pittsburgh in March where 2 were killed and 7 injured when gunman opened fire. There was even a rampage on a crowd at a nightclub in February one person was killed but 20 were injured. And we should note last year when the Congresswoman was shot.

So, all walks off life aren't safe. I get the same impression you have.
We're not safe at our kids soccer game, the spa, a nightclub, the mall, the movies, church, at work, the coffee shop, the hospital, no matter your position (congresswoman) and now, our young children at a locked and secure school because the principal recognized the shooter as the child of one of her teachers, so she buzzes him in! (my bad here, saw a news report said the principal knew him and may have let him in, but police say this morning that he actually shot his way in when he wasn't buzzed in)
It's all so convenient for the gun control advocates.

A couple of posts up I posted that I was keeping an open mind.
I found this in the Breaking news thread.

www.chron.com...

Not sure how verifiable it is, but the amounts of money mentioned did give me cause to think a little harder..

First one a little on the father who was killed and found at 9.15 from reports, then arrived home later in the day
to be interviewed and knew nothing about anything.

"Peter Lanza, a vice president of taxes for GE Energy Financial Services, declined to answer questions from reporters in front of his home in Stamford in the Westover section of the city.

Lanza has worked as tax specialist and had served as an adjunct professor at Northeastern University in Boston since 1995."

and then MONEY

"According to court documents, Peter Lanza was required to send significant alimony payments to Nancy Lanza, including monthly payments of $10,000 a month and increasing to a minimum of $12,450 up until 2023.

The court documents list Peter Lanza's gross weekly income as $8,556 and that he was required to pay all of Adam Lanza's college and graduate school expenses."

Neither may mean anything but it wasn't what I was expecting to read.

- "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground.
The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn.
When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming.
When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence.
They get used to that and start to eat again.
You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. -

True but I'm under the realization that unfortunately the average citizen can no longer go head to head with the armaments of our government. Maybe until the first world war we had a chance, but nowadays, not a chance. So with that concept in mind, I choose to use the 2nd amendment to arm myself to protect family and myself.

I'm not so sure about the average citizen's inability to go up against the government, if they had the will to do it (which they don't). Look at Afghanistan and Iraq, for all intents and purposes the US has lost against very unorganized fighters with no real leadership. They say we lost in Viet Nam because of political failures, but how many US soldiers died in the attempt to win that war and would US soldiers even attempt to win a war against their own people? Of course there's the possibility that the military is saving all those high tech crowd control toys they constantly brag about to stop a popular uprising at home, who knows? We simply don't know if the government could take an armed America down if Americans decided to put the second amendment to its true intent. They don't know either, which is why they want the guns.

Not only CT, but OR, and CO this summer before that. I agree that this feels set up. Especially when so many people are screaming that we all give up our guns. Not MOURNING these innocent dead as we should be.

Only time will tell, but I am of the opinion of so many others, that they will use this tragedy and the others to wipe out our second amendment.

One other quick thought, the OR shooting was beyond eerily similar to the CO shooting last summer.
Did this happen just to take the attentive eyes off of that fact? I tried to watch the news last night, but couldn't see through my tears, so I don't really know how this one happened, only that it sounds different so far.

One common occurrence with these shootings is almost every single one of the shooters has mental issues. Well perhaps its time to take a look at all the wonderful drugs that are being prescribed to people. Maybe, take a real long look at the side effects over time. We did not need it before, why do we need it now? I guess having mental issues makes you a better shot too. Because the kill ratio is pretty high for some random nutjob to hit so many targets.

That deserved its own space. And it deserved repeating.

I always try to keep a rational mind, analysing upon events than to speculate, but looking at the dots, it worries me and sincerely hope my concerns are unfounded.

Ban smoking or close to it.
Ban obesity
...and many other types of ban attempts with the use of fears being foistered upon us mankind all.

What's going on? Seems like some group is trying to control mankind behind the scenes....

And now banning guns?

There had been many attempts to ban guns over a decade. Mostly it involved grown adults or teens being the victims.

But now kids? Is this phantom group, if it even exists, geting so desperate that it would horrifyingly resort to killing innocent small children to arouse emotions of pain and anguish, the often used sympathy card, just to ban guns in USA, instead of using rational thought to prevent such future occurences?

I could be wrong in such perceptions and fervantly hopes so. I would be ready to give up on guns if innocents are to be slaughtered, let alone kids, for the human life is more important than material goods, but the thing is, I and future generations will forever be enslaved through our fears to submit myself to this group, and what else horrifying will they use next to subjugate humanity further to their own agendas, for they have shown no remorse to hurt and harm.

If it was for a good cause, there can be NO justification to the taking away of innocent lives in cold blood premeditated murder, least of all children.

Who and what is going on???

Just a question, and I might post it to this thread just as well, because it struck me as weird.

Supposedly, Adam Lanza carried his brother's ID on him, therefore the authorities blamed Ryan Lanza first. I am wondering how he got possession of that document? His brother lived in a different state, claims he last spoke to Adam in 2010...and works for E&Y, who do require their employees to travel a fair amount of their work time. I would think that for flying etc., one would need some sort of ID also in the US airports?
There are possibilities how Adam could have forged the ID (all too easy to do, especially for a smart kid like he allegedly was), and of course it could also be accounted to the general confusion yesterday. I am just leaving it here as a thought.

Many people still can't fathom the idea that any group insane enough to pull off 9/11 would have no compunction about killing a classroom full of kindergartners. Same shadow government group working hard to make sure we all give up our rights for our collective "safety" . Note that despite all the laws and the creation of DHS we're not any safer than we were before 9/11.
They killed 3 Kennedys to maintain their power as well, don't make their mission any easier by allowing your emotional response to this tragedy to overpower your reason and understanding of what your rights really are (all of them, not just the ones you choose to exercise).
Oh yes, people really are that evil. If one lone nut would do it any group collectively void enough of scruples would do it too, Don't kid yourselves.

Like you say almost always OR is it threw in on some MSM site or story and becomes fact.
One that was found totally sane is Anders Breivik. No notable mental illness or medications or even abuse.

When a true one lone gunman kills many people, people instanly think they have a mental illness anyways due to the horrific nature of the crime but if you have stripes on your arm and are doing it on orders it is just their job. Many people cannot see past that like it is two different things alltogether when the result is very much the same.

Interesting point that I was thinking of also. It does feel like the CT event happened quickly after the one in OR, in order to distract much of the attention away from any detailed analysis of what may have gone on in a setup in OR.
The right hand took action to take attention away from the left. Timing is everything, in more ways than one

Not only Oregon, but maybe to distract us from so many other things going on. It's working not only for MSM but take a look at ATS threads, there's maybe one in five threads that doesn't have to do with CT and guns!

What we know about Breivik is what they want us to know, nothing more.

Even the guys with stripes on their arms are taking incredible amounts of prescription drugs (ssri and others) and there are tons of studies on the dangers of that. How much of all this prescribing by army doctors is designed to make soldiers less congnizant of the pain they're causing is the question, but they are doing horrific crimes out of our sight and with official sanction. Actually the first thing I wondered about on hearing about the CT horror was if he was recently home from the wars. Obviously that was wrong.

Sure people can become so enraged that they will kill, happens all the time. The thing that separates a hot blooded murder from a killer like this is premeditation. Enraged killers generally target those who caused their rage, not seek out individuals who have no connection to their problems. The latter is, IMO, the definition of a mental condition and most of those who have mass murdered are on pharmaceuticals of one type or another for one psychological issue or another.
