Those with intent to do harm, will.

This.

When I lived in Birmingham my neighbour had an AK47 he'd bought from his home in Afghanistan. Ban meant nothing to him.

its ironic that you mention baseball bats... from what I understand, they are the number one weapon used in homicides annually in America...

Still, its not the weapon that did it,
it is the person behind the weapon.

They begin going house to house trying to kill every human they can. While 911 lines are being overloaded, the creatures are approaching your home and your family and you're standing there with a baseball bat........lololol.

For those of us that don't believe in aliens, substitute 'armed international gangster thugs'.

Better yet people who believe in the zombie apocaplyse saying, "damn why did we ban all those guns, and the person standing next to them saying, Yeah, and the ammo.".

Of course that is ficticious just like "gun control" actually does anything but keep arms out of the law biding citizens hands.

Criminals will always have guns, people will still die,

I tried telling them the same thing and they won't listen, they believe that if they can own guns they will shoot the shooters, which blatantly hasn't happened over the recent shootings.

So get ready to face a whole bunch of cowboys.

That's because schools are "gun free zones" moron. Gosh, that didn't deter the CRIMINAL, did it?

CRIMINALS don't care about LAWS. You and your bleeding heart idealism are not going to stop a criminal from committing a crime, and banning guns are not going to make guns magically disappear. Remember, alcohol was banned once, too. Remember how it "disappeared"?

Moron?

So how did the gunmen enter the school gun free zone? It's not a gun repellent, just because it's a gun free zone doesn't mean you can't walk in with a gun.

So I'm sure someone could have gone in and tried to be the hero, some of you think you are.

That's not the point though, maybe there wasn't anyone present with a gun to help.

The fact is though, this gun free zone wasn't very gun free was it?

So what happens if we do ban guns and we see people instead go on stabbing mass killing sprees? Do we ban all knives? If someone kills many people by setting a building on fire do we ban fire? No matter what if someone wants to kill a mass amount of people they will do it. Whatever the person uses is just a tool. Whether its guns, fire, or knives the problem begins with the person not the object used. Just by banning guns you will not eliminate this type of violence.

I think their point is that a knife might kill a few and not 30...The problem is crazy people will find whatever they can to do the most damage. Banning guns will only drive a crazy person to buy them illegally and still do the same thing. When a person is set on a killing spree I don’t see a banning law really coming into play here and will just take guns out of the hands of those who would be an honest citizen.

We can also look at this another way in if people were armed at the school then there would have been a good chance he would not have done what he did. I would think the main reason he went there was because he had no fear that anyone else would be armed too.

Now you're getting it!!

So lets make the USA a gun free zone then, right?

I bet it works just as well.

Banning guns will not stop people from obtaining guns. Criminals will all have guns and if you wanted a gun you could buy one from a criminal. Machine shops can manufacture guns. Arresting everyone who was caught with a gun would bankrupt us. There is no way to truly ban guns that would not have unintended consequences worse than legal gun ownership.

I stand firmly behind my 2A rights for 2 reasons.
First reason, I can choose to prosecute tyrants in a street court if they choose they must be a tyrant.
Second, while horrible for the dead. I'd prefer 10 dead or 100 or even 1000 if it means 8 billion will be saved.
The United States and some other chocolate country is all that stands in front of world tyranny.

Guns don't kill people, politicians do.
Don't you fools see this?
(Edit)
To add, any who think guns are evil and should be banned, please go to either Brittain or Australia.
They are both fine countries that speak english and have banned guns and have no gun crime.
But to pursue my property and rights will surely cost some tyrant his life.

The most interesting gun talk I've had was end with a question. Now you can answer the question both ways there is no cut and dry right or wrong to it.

So an arm man points a gun at your kid with clear intent on killing.

But you don't have a gun, but there is one in front of you.

By some chance you've been given the time to get to the gun in front of you.

Now the questions, do you go for the gun, do you use the gun or to you leave it be and take your chances?

any day... i would defiantly take a gun
over a knife...

it would be sad if our got allowed guns to be
limited because of this action, as sad as it is,
its not the gun that did it, its the person behind it.

im kind of old fashion, i say arm everyone...
i bet crime will drop wayyyy down.

Ok, so you would take a gun and most of you would too I take it.

Why do you own guns, who are you waiting to kill?

The gun is a weapon, not a toy, stop acting like Israel does with its Nukes.

Love hearing someone in England talk down to people here in the US.

Your suggestions are about as ridiculous as it gets.
What is the violent crime rate there, in England, even without firearms being around as much???
What is the number of attacks where knives and blunt objects are used???

Say, how are those football hooligans doing? Still fighting and hurting each other??

Oh and I DO love the statement of

drugs and booze are the biggest destroyers of lives, countless deaths and millions of lives destroyed, families ruined, kids blighted forever, in care etc

None of these celebrities on twitter are calling for a ban on booze or drugs are they, might disturb their own leisure time?

As more people die through drug and alcohol abuse (including killing others while out of your mind on these things, as well as wrecking the lives of those close to you) I am calling a lot of this outrage out as not very genuine

Ban attacks on the second amendment.

An armed population is a population protected from a tyranical government.

People die and are injured much more in vehicle crashes...why don't you try and ban those and leave the people's protection alone.

Guns don't take oil...that's why.

Owning something is not criminal-gun.

Murder is already illegal so people really are trying to make something already illegal more illegal.

There is that flawed circular logic at work,

Meh

It will because weapons are about to be taken by force, soon. And when you only have a few on the black market, then yes some shootings will occur, but not a weekly occurrence like we are witnessing here and now.

even better than that, I live in the UK, up until the early 20th century we had NO gun control and gun crime was relatively unheard of!

Something has gone wrong with people over the last 100 years, morally degraded and increasing alcohol and drug (both legal and illegal) are the main culprits, I'm convinced

How many stabbings have there been?

According to my research crimminals where you are now stab people instead of shooting them...

Sharp objects should be banned.
