The poster was updating on some of his family members that attend the school.

18 Childen Among at least 26 dead. Sooo tragic!!!!!!!!!!!

This may have already been reported, but the principal of the school sent out a tweet this morning saying that it was the day of their annual evacuation drill.

Yeah it was my bad, I meant to reply to a specific post, it sounded bad as just a general statement like it was. Thread is going fast.

This is unspeakably sad,but i am not as devastated as i would have been,had i not been expecting just a thing as this.Also,some things are so ghastly that you just have to shut down.I am wondering,how much easier to gain support for civilian gun control/disarmament after this? This is a watershed event,this.In its own way,maybe a 9/11.

Sorry you're offended. There are at least two levels to this tragedy. That being said, I have to agree on one level that something is going on with the young men in our world (not just America) and we need to seriously address it.

Families all being informed before anything is released to press. ** Personal note - YAY! This is good **
Confirmed that shooter has ties to the school, not saying what ties at this time.
Reporter was asked about the single classroom being targeted - she said that it was reported, but not confirmed yet. Children led out of other classrooms away from the area.
