End of the World Event on Dec 21 - What time exactly? Which time zone first?

While I don't believe the date has any significance, I put forward this argument in the interests of logical consistency;

This whole event is supposed to be about the Mayan calendar reaching its term.
But the Mayan calendar won't reach its term until the end of the Mayan day.
Presumably that means sunset in Yucatan. Anyone know the time for that?

Ive decided that Im not going to run with the current calender, im going to start using the Muslim one which, If my calculations are even a bit right, should have me comfortably back in the 15th/16th century. If correct, this would obviously mean Id have a cushion of around 500 years before I, and any future generations that could be traced back to my loins, would need to start worrying.

I think Yucatan in Mexico is on central time

I didn't know about the French village with the mountain Pic de Bugarach having beliefs it will be saved and the village is being closed off to believers in the doomsday.

Anyway, i do know that New Zealand will be one of the first countries to face 21/12/12, followed by Australia. But as stated by others on here, the time to look out for would be the time Mexico, from which the Mayans inhabited. That was their world, that is the place to keep an eye on.

Not official as it has'nt happened yet and if you have not been put to sleep during potencial event; I'm thinking Mountain Time; United States either at 11:11 AM or 1:11 PM.

Well it feels to me that something has to give, if not the 21st Dec. then soon. And just because we don't see/not told something very significant has happened doesn't mean anything really. We might not realise for a long time.

Arn't wishing for some major change deep down?
