I guess they will let him drop a couple on top of his own people, just to have a god reason to invade that country, kill the guy and claim the natural resources. I'm in favor with the plan because the other option (do nothing) is worse.

Why do you say "claim the natural resources? Is it based upon some logic? Please do tell.

Yeah Syria doesnt have that much. The US still doesnt have Iraq's or Libyan oil so that argument is a MAJOR FAIL. The US doesnt have any resources from Afghanistan so that argument is a MAJOR FAIL.

Seems like most folks who say that stuff are just idiots and dont really know anything except watching Micahel Moore movies . LMAO!!!!

A little different when the whole world is admitting this as well. Your post was a short cut to thinking.

Wait, this sounds familiar........

Whole world admitting it which time? I heard that in 1991, I heard it for Serbia on the Kosovo intervention and I even heard a version prior that that for Somalia now that I think about it... It was again the basis for war reasoning in 2001 and 2003.

How many times does the whole world have to be flat wrong before that basis of logic deflates like a balloon? I would just like to see a return to the sanity of not making war and tearing the stuffing out of other nations until they've actually DONE something.....not just the real real real strong guess they may do something. So many dead over bad guesses.

I have no idea now which war you're talking about. The last actions I lived to see which were truly JUST the U.S. were Just Cause in Panama and a little clean up action with a tragic side story of mishaps in Grenada. 90/91 was the coalition of the willing. Somalia was the 911 call from the U.N. and 'feed the hungry' crowd until warlords turned their guns away from Pakistani's and Italians to turn them on our people. Kosovo was Europe's 911 call. 2003 was the coalition of the unwilling more than willing crossing the border and you might want to check the international roster that quickly formed. A whole part of Iraq was designated a British zone of control, for that matter.

I suppose Afghanistan was U.S. but only while CIA ran the Northern Alliance locals with the Green Berets supporting it all. When the Marines landed and called it home by 2002, NATO and the world poured right in. So...Which recent action of any kind was just the US? I'm definitely at a loss.

Syria loads chemical weapons into bombs; military awaits Assad's order

worldnews.nbcnew s.com

The military has loaded the precursor chemicals for sarin, a deadly nerve gas, into aerial bombs that could be dropped onto the Syrian people from dozens of fighter-bombers, the officials said.

As recently as Tuesday, officials had said there was as yet no evidence that the process of mixing the "precursor" chemicals had begun. But Wednesday, they said their worst fears had been confirmed: The nerve agents were locked and loaded inside the bombs.

It pains me to imagine the conversation.

"We're going to use WMD again? They can't possibly buy it?

"Sure they will. Just repeat it over and over like all the other times."

ASSAD=WMD

Another war is inevitable. American capital needs room to expand to prevent a crisis of over accumulation, and Syria is one of the places it can expand to.

Yeaaaaa....well, the difference being. .....
We were told Iraq had such weapons...but we just need to find them.
Syria admits to having them, but only for use during foreign invasions

What we have to understand is that modern imperialism does not take the form of conquest. We are not going to send multinationals to over to steal their resources. What we will do is open up Syrian markets to Western companies, removing the ostensibly anti-business Assad from power. The nature of imperialism is not annexing land, but ensuring the supremacy of American capital.

Colin Powells famous words come to mind.

If you break it, you own it.

Somebody is about to own this place and it's going to be one big mess.

But Russia, which serves as Syria's staunchest international ally, warned against the deployment. "Creating additional capabilities on the border does not defuse the situation but on the contrary exacerbates it," said President Vladimir Putin.

So, Turkey is prepared to defend itself against missle attacks. I'm okay with that. Russian President Putin isn't WRONG that increased defense may only add fuel to the fire, but without a viable alternative to diffuse the situation, I'm in the camp of you may as well blow the sucker up BIG and be upwind of it, rather than let it be a controlled burn in your direction.

Cheers!

So Clinton says they might use chemical weapons and then later that day they are preparing to use them?

Also, the media and US politicians have been fibbing quite a bit when it comes to Syria. Like saying the Syrian Army bombed that Mosque when in reality it was the FSA pulling a false flag, and the US media never pulled back on that story. I think there is huge manipulation going on here. Not that Assad isn't a total bastard, but I think the FSA would be worse for Syrians and for the world since they are just Al Qeada for hire.

No one else thinks the time frame on this is weird given Clinton's statements like less than a day ago?

I also don't see why a regime trying to keep their country would use nerve gas on civilians. I am doubting this story a lot.

Come on! The rebels have been the ones killing civilians and blaming Syria. The same that's happened in all these countries that have fallen lately. Clinton says it is a possibility and now it's happening? Like the media is in front of US intelligence on this one?

Don't be confused, the OP's article is propaganda. Springboarding off of Clinton's remarks. Unfortunately his source didn't do it's homework about Sarin, or in fact about anything.

As I said, It would make NO sense for Assad to use chemical weapons against civilians.

Responsible for 28,000 civilians says who?
We have plenty of evidence that the FSA are killing civilians by the truck load and blaming it on the Syrian Army. Its not in question, it's happening. And the FSA are working towards a goal the US supports so our media reports them positively. Just like in Libya.
