Just the floods earlier this year, and me being an idiot trying to get across. A friend finally gave me the pic and I thought why the hell not, as I've always liked it. One of my few successful water crossings....

We've had tons of rain and lightning this week which was the inspiration, wet season has hit with a vengeance here. Hoping we don't see the same as last year though....

today was the first day in about the last 4 that it got above freezing. we had about 2 inches of ice on everything. That usually doesn't happen until January, if it happens at all. Hope it doesn't mean winter is going to be brutal.

I have the Texas Storm Chasers on my failbook page. After having seen some of the extreme weather you guys get over there, I can safely say you'd be one of the few non-Australian people to fully understand the kinds of weather we get here.


I've seen everything on their site from ice and snow to tornadoes and lightning storms. Not sure exactly where in Texas you are, but you weren't kidding when you said Texas was very similar to Queensland.

When I get home later I'll try and post a few of my crappy storm pics from over the weekend.
