This is what makes me sceptical about this story:

Seems like a 65 year old technology to flip the planet's poles is kind of far-fetched. Maybe the OP is telling it straight and perhaps the old lady believes this and her brother is on a power trip. Whatever, it is alot to swallow. I can't buy this one.

You might as well go on and explain the unified field theory, just so us lay people can understand.

I might have missed this, but no one has talked about the number one known thing the magnetic field does for earth, block solar radiation.
during a reversal, there would probably be a period of time while the field restablishes itself. during that time, the van allen radiation belt would collapse and vast amounts of radiation would pour in from space.
I doubt such technology exists, but the field is drifting and weakening naturally. Eventually its going to be somebodies problem. could be 12/21/2012 or 12/21/3173

Seriously, how do you negate gravity? Especially planet wide (in places) wouldn't that literally tear the Earth apart?

Just an interesting thought, what if they are experimenting with TIME and they want to bring the whole planet back in time.
I honestly doubt anyone who knew a date of such and experiment would be allowed such detail and allowed to live if they are talking about it. On the other hand maybe they figure an old lady everyone will think she is a nut anyway.

I'm not so sure you know. You wouldn't really need technology - just the knowledge of how much power occurs naturally in the planet, where it's most potent and the know how of how to harness it and point it where you want it to go.

Someone versed in the Ancient Mysteries, like the Druids for example, would know how to go about it and I'd bet there are a few of those amongst TPTB.

When you mention that this will take place in Alaska, it made me feel skeptical about it purely because the theory is that it would take place in Antarctica which is where the Nazi's established a large base. But in a way I am optimistic about this theory as it seems like the type of thing the government would do

I don't know what theory you are referring to. As I said before I do not entertain 12-21-12 stuff. I come on here quite a bit so I am aware of it from the headlines. She referred to something of the contractors (could be military industrial complex) in Washington state working on an experiment involving Alaska (could be HAARP) The reason I could not wait to get on here with my fellow skeptics and researchers is because there are some on here who are really great at analyzing this stuff and some really great at blurring the OP by blending the conversation with other theories.

The theory is not correct. The picture was right. What you believe is, matter is pressed by the fabric of space which is curved? Don't you think it would make more sense that matter is curved because there is only matter and space and what is space? I know it is not in any way fabric.

And the marble was pulled to the bowling ball by gravity. The fabric under the marble is also matter.
The force created when a car brakes has nothing to do with gravity because it was created by motion.

I was also thinking about the connection with the sun but couldn't have put it as well as you did.

My thinking was that, rather than planning to shift the poles for nefarious reasons, someone's perhaps trying to stop a naturally occurring pole shift because of the reasons you've stated.

Her house is losing energy and she has birds (crows) tearing at her soffit to build nests and tear away insulation. Maybe she went ahead because I did something salesman do called "closing." I don't think she is saying that her brother has been aware of the technology to flip the poles for her whole life. I think she is saying that her brother has been aware of her propensity to not leave things unattended for her whole life. In other words, he is familiar with her personality and how she does things, and has been for her whole life.

And to the other posters questioning the time. She said at 10 until 5:00 am. That is 4:50 in the morning. It's really not difficult.

I don't mean to be snarky, it just seems that peoples reading comprehension has really taken a turn for the worse. Or maybe everyone is just reading too much into this. It seems pretty straight forward to me. I'm not saying that I believe it, but anything is possible.

I have problems with the story for the following reasons. 1. Upgrades are nice, but nothing that needs to be done for the end times. 2. Now if she did not have heat or running water, then I could see he statement about not leaving anything behind unfinished. Being foreclosed on means she is not flush with cash, but has an extra 5 k laying around to upgrade? Knob wash.

These are not necessarily upgrades. 1. There are improvements that are being done because crows and birds are tearing insulation and her soffit away, getting in her roof and attic. They are loud annoying big birds. 2. How about cold air penetrating and her being an older woman fighting off pneumonia. I did not say she was foreclosed. I said she kept saying after the 21st it was not going to matter anymore. I said typically in my business it means she is going to pay it off or lose it. Or maybe she has hope it can be derailed. Faith in God to not allow it to happen.

Ok its probably a true story as of the telling. But how in the nine hells does a pole shift make everything fall off the planet, gravity is created by mass, not electromagnetism. Unless its a quaint old lady trying to make sense of something her more knowledgeable sibling told her and getting it wrong (my mother does the same thing, reads something written by a scientist then gets or twists it badly trying to adapt it to her own knowledge base)... hey maybe all us southern hemisphere dwellers might finally be able to untie our selves from our rope and tethers and walk around on the ground finally...

Reversing the poles if it was even possible for man to do so, would most likely result in nothing but the magnetosphere vanishing for a while (giving alot of us some really bad sun burn ) and even then id say it wouldnt even do that and would simply flip without vanishing for any period of time... you'd feel nothing, and the only things that would have problems would be anything relying on the earths magnetic field for navigation, so alot of birds and fish would be stuffed so would your compasses but other than that... zilch.

People where getting ticked at the Russians and their 2012 panic... its no different anywhere else... roll on 2013, the first year of hopefully many more, where we, the majority can put a hand up in the face of any vocal Dooms Dayers and say "Shut the F up... and go sit in your naughty corner till we tell you to come out".

As to the woman saying 10 till 5 - that to me says 10 oclock until 5 oclock. A bit like someone saying your hours of work will be 2 til 10 - ie. 2pm until 10pm. Don't know about the U.S. but that's common parlance in the U.K.

Well in the US we have so many dialectics it is really crazy. I had an anthropology class that said one time we have about 140 or 150. Having said that in my area we would say 10 to 2 meaning from 10 until two, haha. Bsaying ten til five typically means 4:50.

Tesla said he knew how to split the earth in two. That's a tad older than 65 years... and we all know HAARP is based on Tesla tech. Just a thought. Who knows what will happen.
