I don't necessarily agree
thought you have to specify on what time frame you are basing your assumptions on
Let's say in 10K years humans finally reach utopia and social class is not existent
then my guess is that humans will intermingle and eventually start looking similar

However the way things are going right now I would say that there will be
two distinct humans races
the super rich world dominating race, or the "elite" race. Whatever you want to call it
and the "commoner" race
My guess is that the "commoner" race will look like what most people here envision
tan skin, brown eyes and black hair (a mixture of all current "races")

The "elite" race will be a mixture of the world ruling families. It's hard to say what they will look like but
for sure they will not look like the "commoners"
the "elite" race will be selectively bred with looks, intelligence and health in mind
This is already happening

the wealthy has the luxury to choose their spouses to be the prettiest and smartest
in other words, the wealthy and successful can selectively breed choosing the genetical qualities they
deem valuable.

my guess is that the "elite" race will be smarter, prettier, taller and healthier than the "commoner" race
given enough time, maybe the "elite" race will be so different from the "commoner" race that it will be hard
to say that they share a common ancestor

Perhaps. But I think that human society is a part of nature. Human beings are from nature, consequently, every thing they do is based on some kind of natural impulse. Certain practices may be distortions of those impulses, but they will be self-correcting if they are ultimately against the interest of survival of the whole.

These impulses will not change. We could all be the same color, IQ and income level, and we would still find ways to compete against one another.

Hasn't it already been shown that over a long enough period of time, eventually humanity will become "one race" due to globalisation? Here is Sydney there's a marked increase in the number of people of asian decent due to immigration, to the point where more than a few people have joked that in a few years Australia will be assimilated into the asian continent.

I don't really see this as a bad thing. The sooner we're all the same skin colour, the sooner we can get over the stupid "you grew up on a different bit of dirt to where I grew up so that makes me better" mentality so we can move on to more important issues.

If it continues on the current path, they will be entirely absorbed into the lower-middle class white population. Combine this with the unlikeliness that blacks, given their economic woes, will not likely be able to afford test tube babies and in reality you're looking at the dissolution of their race. And it's not only that they are being absorbed genetically either, given that the black male is the most likely demographic to become a deadbeat dad, the black culture will also end, and while it may sound pretty dickish, I, for one, would be happy to see this particular outcome due to how black culture seems to be in a violent downward spiral into immorality, also known commonly as 'the thug life'. In the eyes of an elitist, we reap the seeds we sow. Blacks were bred for certain features and now that they've maximized the pool of these genetic features, it's now harvesting time. Continuous breeding with a Roman population, destruction of the victim's culture, and a healthy dose of murdering or enslaving the children of the victim's race. If there ever was a modern day incarnation of the Roman empire, it'd certainly be America.

I have to tell a quick story about Chicago here. My husband and I were visiting Chicago a couple of years ago. We were trying to save some money by using the city buses. We ended up in a black neighborhood - I don't recall if it was west side or not. We ran to catch a bus, and when we got on - all I saw was a sea of black faces. I am the whitest person I know, and to be honest, I was nervous. Well, everyone on that bus (including the driver) was friendly, kind - totally put me at ease. One woman at the front of the bus got up and offered me her seat, because the bus was full and I was very out of breath from running. When we got to the end of the line on the bus route, we had the most pleasant conversation with the bus driver while he was on his break.

I know I wasn't in every black neighborhood in Chicago, but the one I was in was not scary at all. I'd go back to that neighborhood in a second.

You should think of it not as the extermination of a race but the creation of a new race. One where everyone eventually will be the same colour and have no reason to hate or fight eachother becaue of their differences. All races have their individual strengths, strong genes are generally passed on to the offspring so mixing these different strengths into a single race will eventually create a much stronger, fitter and intelligent race than the bunch of ignorant, egotistical apes that we still are today.

It's worth remembering that it isn't just the 'white race' that is getting diluted by mixed race relationships, there are AT LEAST two races being mixed and diluted. Your sentiment insinuates that the white race is supreme in these situations but surely that can't be the case seeing as you have mixed race kids.

Humans have 2 traits that drive this: ego, and fear of that which is different. If it isn't skin color it will be religion, or just the color of your bandana. Something always divides you.

Some strains of corn are grown because they can survive with less water, or produce more ears, or are more bug resistant but once those strains are mixed again you lose those abilities.

You guessed it. Its by mixing different type of corns to get the best corn plant that would produce the less water, more healthy corns!!!!

If you could find the original corn plant, it would not survive anymore, unless you put it trapped in a air tight environment.

The best gene would give it survival so it can move on, while the weak part of the corn disappears. This is just weeding out bad TRAITS (not whole corn planet) so it can become better.

Why do we all have to look the same? I think its a nice thing that we all look different. Diversity does not have to be a cause of dislike. There is vanilla, strawberry and chocolate icre-cream and I dont require all ice-cream to be caramel. I can enjoy my vanilla ice-cream without bad-talking chocolate ice-cream. Frankly, I cant stand the two "sides" of this debate...the "we all have to be the same" crowd vs. the "we are superior" crowd. Just enjoy the different expressions of life.

Sky, lets take the human and race concept out... the truth with genetics is that, you could never keep something in the same pure stats for a long time, it will be forced to change by nature, if not, it will be eliminated. This is what happens to planets in nature.

Certain traits might have been useful at that time, but, when nature changes, the plants need to acquire new traits or they will be islated and slowly wiped out by nature.

Think about plants that grow in desert, you think they strive because they kept their high water intake... nope, all the ones that needed high water intake died out, the ones that pollinated with low water intake plants produced a new organism that has the stats from both plants but replaced the high water intake from Plant A by low water intake by Plant B.

People put too much value into Melanin content, think about skin as an Organ(well it is), certain aspects is changed when bred. but because our society is at a point where we differentiate each other by colour, we put way too much value in it.

Diversity of different species is good but not the same species, they will eventually mix and create a better specie.

No one is forcing or telling people to mix, they can live like that if they want to, but soon be it disease or earth atmosphere and other requirement will eventually weaken certain people, cause disease and slowly kill them out.

Many people think white = recessive, but there are other things obtained from a white person that others don't have...but it might be something innate, inside your body, but people tend to focus on skin and put high value... which is nothing....we need each other to move forward.
