I was just thinking about what bothers me about this - if the government is involved in social engineering and gets in over its head, it could really screw up a whole society. For example, let's look at Strauss-Howe Generation Theory.

This shows how a new generation will develop in order to compensate for deficiencies in its parents. The cycle happens over 4 generations, and seems to be completely natural. If this was unknowingly interfered with in order to prevent change, who knows what could happen.

I suspect that's what we've seen happening the past 11 years especially, DB. I think their "program" gave 'em a faulty outcome that they took as gospel and they "armored" up, built more bunkers, and gutted the Constitution. HAL gone craaaazy again.

phoenix358 pointed out in an earlier post that our agencies went all bonkers/paranoid over the red scare, and it looks like they've done it again. And they think we're the paranoid-shizophrenics.

I read a new term (for me) just the other day that adds an important aspect to the MIC, and Heff has nailed it with this thread: Military-Industrial-Academic-Complex.

interesting stuff, i have no doubt that society is steered in a way that the movers and the shakers want. the question has always been, too what extent and to whos ideas.

Michel Foucault, this mans name comes to mind when i think about false lies and society ^^

Yes, Foucault had some interesting theories that do connect, especially panopticism. The birth of the prison.

Hsrsh, man.

I'm a lady, and I understand that my appearance bears upon my chances for insemination (though not []]survival) past two generations.

Not worried, but still. Harsh, and short-sighted.

Sorry
It was meant to be funny. Living in suburbia I do not know my neighbors. Life is so insular that the best way to have what are called friends these days is to have a FB account or do the tweet.

I think it will be people like me that have a good chance to survive because we can use our minds and find alternative ways to solve problems. I don't have much faith is the majority of people. They have been programmed too well and it will take too long to break the programming. Even amongst preppers on ATS there is almost no mention of some exceedingly simple things like a few spare pair of shoes or needle and thread.

I have a strange sense of humor.

So how exactly do you suggest we fight this "war of minds"? Perhaps the game plan is to plant these seeds in our mind in such a way that we end up doing exactly as they planned even as we're trying to break away from their system?

We've been fooling ourselves for so long, how do we tell what's real? By this point, the illusion provides much more comfort than the truth. We're so deep, the temptation to surrender is almost overwhelming.

I'm with ya, AI. We're being molded right this very minute. It's both brilliant and brilliantly diabolical. Too brilliant for such unwise fools.

Know what that suggests to me, though? "They" are pawns in the game, too, and have little to no idea who their "Boss" is. Bobby Fischer wouldn't stand a chance. Hope you guess his name:

Sorry, y'all, for going "there," but the geeks that put this stuff together aren't capable enough to make it all come together. And, when I look around...it's all coming together.

Wandering far afield, but why did you bring it up (fitness), especially in regard to female appearance, if you do not care?

I must warn you all, ladies and gents, that if you care about more substantial qualities than appearance, you better start selecting for different partners, rather than allowing advertising trends to select them for you.

Absolutely.

Find the mate that "feels right". It has nothing to do with looks, everything to do with just clicking. My current wife of 18 years is nothing in what I would have said my "taste" in women was at the time we met. But being with her just felt right.

Venturing even farther afield:

You hear that "click"?

Run.

It's probably just one wound calling to another, and not for healing.

Not to say we can't do one another some good.

Clicks, for the record, are standard forms of behavior triggering. You could both be MKUltra.... Just sayin'.

Yeah, for sure.

I don't have much faith is the majority of people.

There are a lot of programs aimed at atomizing us- isolating, if you like- one from the other. It makes us more reliable consumer statistics. There's another current, coming from diverse sources, that encourages us to see where our EXTREME interests coincide.

Since we're already out in the relationship hinterlands (I'm not shocked it ended up here, and I hope a lot of you aren't either), this will directly relate to how we interface with our mates.

Our current model is played out in every sense. It's up to us to start a new conversation: what do we want our world to look like? Our relationships? Our local economies? We've gotta start talking beyond our fears as well as our capabilities.

They have been programmed too well and it will take too long to break the programming.

I think there's a lot of physical evidence of real-time speciation that mitigates against that conclusion.

this might be a little off topic, but i think that maybe it could fold in to how they decide how well their modification is working.

back when i was a junior in high school i became a participant in National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1979.
which was ran by these people.
National Opinion Research Center
this is a list of some of their clients

National Longitudinal Surveys

what they did was contact people in our area, what they used for criteria as for who they picked i don't know, but i personally knew two other people in the survey, one was my girlfriend at the time, the other was my fathers boss's son. i think they did this in order to keep a cross check on us, over the years, they would always ask if i know anything about what was going on with them.

they asked us a bunch of questions that they had prepared on a survey sheet. they asked about every thing, our life at home, school, work, smoking, politics, alcohol, drugs, sex just about anything you could think of.
they said the survey was for a labor study. at first the survey only took about 15 mins and they paid us ten bucks, but as time went on they got longer and they would increase the time.
well after high school i joined the marine corps, and decide that i didn't do to take the survey. one day my commanding officer call me in to his office and gave me a ass chewing, he had received a called from the DOD
and i was ordered to take the survey. this happened every year, i had no choice. this kinda put a scare in me and i kept on for a few years after i got out.

well that plus a few thing i had seen while i was in the corps, had started me on my right wing whacko conspiracy theorist trip that has last til this day. after i told them that i no longer would participate in a survey that feed the government information that they would use to control me i caught a lot of flack.
and to this day they still call and send me letters trying to get me to talk with them.

Excellent work and presentation! S&F for you...

And, this is exactly how this will appear on my FB wall :-D

Welcome to the front lines of the greatest War in human history - the battle for your mind.

The things I have presented [will present, below] here are not entries from blogs claiming to be written by whistle blowers or psychics. These are not leaked documents that one can summarily dismiss as spurious and then walk away. Every single link and image I have provided in this OP is from a legitimate US Government website - with the sole exception of a passage from Wikipedia that I doubt anyone with argue the veracity of. Given this fact, I offer the following thought... if this level of admission to social engineering is available publicly... Imagine that which is NOT in the public domain regarding this issue. Also consider that what I have presented here is only a fraction of what I have been able to uncover through my own research.

(With appropriate credits, of course)

My "off the top of the head" assumption would be that you were being used as a case study in a statistical modelling program. Such programs are now largely obsolete because of cyberspace. But, once upon a time, cradle to grave observation and checks were a means of creating an actuarial table for behavior groupings, ages of opinion change, age ranges for paradigm shifts, etc.

they are still doing the surveys,

The National Longitudinal Survey of Youth 1979 (NLSY79) is a survey of men and women born in the years 1957-64. The NLSY79 is a nationally representative sample of 12,686 young men and women who were 14–22 years old when they were first surveyed in 1979. These individuals were interviewed annually through 1994 and are currently interviewed on a biennial basis.

every two years i get phone calls and they send all kinds of junk mail.

this is a natural progression of the powers that be and should be common sense to anyone "aware" of the nature of the way things work the weak minded sorely out numbers the aware so i'm not sure it's worth an effort to fight it. it's abundantly apparent the pilotless aircrafts in the sky aren't the only drones. thank you for the post tho maybe the people will wake up with the proof thrust upon them but i sincerely doubt it.

I can't be cynical. As far as love goes, life has blessed me with more than I need (but just about exactly what I want). I do know that there are damaged people out there. Hell, the wife and I likely would be in the group (as would just about everyone). But the key is that when you really do "click" with someone, you find a partner that potentates you. Singularly you are individuals. Together, however, you equal a sum greater than the individual parts.

If that is not what you find in a relationship, THEN you should run.

The common perception in our community of my marriage: that we have something special. The truth: its more special than anyone else knows, unless they have experienced it too.

On a side note that is topical, I have heard from people that have had mates in their life that they swear were planted there to keep an eye on them. One such person is a moderator here at ATS (although I haven't seen him in awhile). Perhaps I will look him up and see if he is around for a comment in this thread.

I don't think anything is really hidden. It is "hidden in plain sight".

You can find info on all manner of things on the web. It is just buried among links with similar keywords, and hard to find.

And twisted or modulated by Google's secret and unpublished search algorithms. I say Google because who ever bothers to use another search engine? My first notion is that information retrieval is coincidentally skewed by Google, and the paranoid part of me says they are paid off.

Good point.

How many times have searched something only to have Google display that DMCA notice about the removal of search results?

"They" are already censoring the internet. "They" did it while we all argued about SOPA.

They have Veterans Affairs doing that "Million Veterans" Program where they are "volunteering" their DNA and they are pushing it out to research labs to create "medicines" that will alter their DNA to make people what they want.

They can push out things now to turn the entire populace into vegetables. The future of Earth, is that there is no future. Pity every kid you see. The world they will grow up in will be an enslaved planet. Anybody who shows the smallest inclement of critical thinking will get targeted to change or kill them off.
