These events are instruments that unleash Chaos! These unforeseen and unplanned events can change history. They cannot be planned for nor can the be opposed. Everything just gets to that one point and one person cracks.

Very, very few people really ever care when I bring this up. VERY FEW. I can drop it in the middle of a thread that each post is getting 4 or 5 stars, and it won't get any. No one really cares, and I can't figure out why.
But to go with your point about a stupid populace being easier to control, Charlotte Iserbyte used to be an official in the US Dept. of Education under Reagan. She resigned as a whistleblower, telling of US/USSR collusion to keep the masses dumbed down via national education initiatives that forced specific skills. One such skill is memorization vs. actually learning the logic behind the concept. For example, memorization of math formulas instead of learning the mathematical logic.
We are being taught WHAT to think, not HOW to think.

This perspective becomes the template we tend to overlay upon everything else.
Marginalize or imprison those whose intellect and / or training allows them to see straight through your efforts.
Take control of any University courses that may bring awareness of your actions to the upcoming generation. This knowledge must be suppressed by any means necessary. Make course structures such that everyone passes with little difficulty diluting the entire field of study.
Make the average people fear your agents.
