Clouds outside my house were just glowing and pulsating. Video included.

That's a pretty cool video. I don't see how that could be lighning, not the way it's pulsating, almost strobe light like. I have no idea, but some of the theories I've read are pretty intriguing. I didn't notice any noise either, which makes it all the more eerie. Thanks for posting

Well, purely based on the fact that emergency vehicles lights pulse on the average of 1.5 hz, and that there is very low cloud cover and perhaps fog over the area in the video, my guess would be a fire engine, emergency tow vehicles or the police. Just an educated guess.

I was already to pounce on this as BS and regular lightning....then I saw it.

Get ready for proj bluebeam.

nice catch.

Were you able to "sense" anything?

No I was not able to "sense" anything out of the ordinary. I just went outside to see if I could see if it was happening again and it was not. There are clouds in that direction again pretty much where the ones are in the video and there is no pulsating or glowing.

FYI There are no real close military bases from my location.

To be honest, this freaked me out. Could be anything, I wonder if it;s just some rare natural phenomenon. I don't wanna assume that it's like a UFO coming into the atmosphere or something like that, I'm at a lost in all honesty.

Ok I'll say that. Am I the only one who've seen plenty of youtube "nasa ufo" vids with those things pulsating at similar frequency? It looked like they are just everywhere like some space plankton
Don't you know which ones? I didn't know what to think but of course I was immediately considering to try such frequency as brainwave entrainment. I decided myself not to do this. (now I know it was one of those clever decisions.) Hz will be the key here. What Hertz is it, It looks to be about 2, so delta waves.
I think someone is altering our brainwaves all the time. I mean human technnology. Sick, headache stuff like infiltrating our subconsciousness maybe even through dreams etc. There's so many options...better to not think about it much.
Or it was emergency car

NJ, Newark Airport, NJ Turnpike...the area is littered with refineries, and chem plants. I am going to guess a gas flare that was "flickering".

One possibilty is that these are the strobing lights at an airfeild in the distance. I have seen clouds look like this when they were low and an aircraft was inbound to the airport. Just a thought.

Could you hear a helicopter at all? I've seen helicopters and planes that are flying through fog mimic the exact same thing, I've even got a video somewhere of a planes front landing lights pulsating like that, if it was a helicopter and you couldn't hear it then its most likely the strobes, I've seen helicopters in cloud cover for over an hour that caused clouds to blink.

Or it could of course be a vehicle with a orange strobe, if those clouds were on your side of a mountain then they would definitley be visible if they were LED strobes.

Or it could be a light house on disco mode

Had I seen this in person, I would have thought the same thing I am now thinking. There is a flashing light source on the ground, which is shining into low clouds, causing the light to be scattered, giving it the appearance of emanating from the cloud itself. I have seen similar, although not on this scale. That would be my guess, although the light source seems like it would have to be very large. I am not saying this is definitively the reason for what you saw, but I think that it is possible, or even likely.

As a fromer firefighter/EMT, I can atest that it is very plausiable, the new LED lights are extremely bright. Now with that being said, why it would go dark than come back, is abit on the strange side.

My idea of what this might be is kinda different. For a time I lived near a drap strip raceway. I witnessed very close to what you see in the videos many times while living nearby. On certain nights they would race "funny" cars or even "jet" cars. They would usually get the crowd all pumped up by "popping" the engine and sending flame flares up above the car.

A cloud would form as well sometimes due to oil in fuel, burned rubber etc, but this place was also in a valley so that often times after a warm day the cool air would come up off corn fields at night and form a condensation cloud overhead. We could see the pulsing/flashing lighted "cloud" above these super loud engines from at least ten miles away or so.

Problem is, it's too late in the season this far up north for dragstrips to be open and they are definitely heard for quite a distance. Not likely to continue for the duration you mentioned or a regular timed pulse either.

Do you have anything like that nearby or in direction you filmed? Just throwing it out there. Possible but unlikely. Star and flag for interesting video

Here in South Central North Carolina, thunderstorms roll through every once in a while. They are both frightening and Spectacular. At dusk or night they illuminate the entire cloud cover with bright flashes in rapid succession in almost a Strobe effect. Sometimes lasting a half hour or more. I have seen one last the better part of an hour and a half, but just once, most seem to last a half hour.

As for your video, the quality on my screen of the video was near zero, I couldn't see much beyond a faint dot throughout most or all of it, so I was not able to arrive at any comparison in respect to it. But based on your description, I'm led to believe it a thunderstorm and the lightning.

I have not read all the replies so I may repeat someone elses.

Plot the direction on a map.
Ask your local fire dept what runs they had at that time.
Plot their runs on the same map.
Solved.

Newark airport is east of Rochelle Park, NJ. If you are looking east perhaps you are seeing the light from the approach control lights for the runway. The outside runway for north bound traffic has approach control lights that flash giving the appearance of a single ball of light moving in the direction of flight operations. If cloud conditions are clear at ground level with a solid cloud bottom at about 2000 feet the light beams may enter the cloud mass and be visible from Rochelle Park. The steady pace of the light is what you would expect from approach control lights.

Clouds reflect light. Those are obviously some low-lying clouds. Based on the hue of the clouds, I'm willing to bet it was some orange, pulsing light from a vehicle (construction?) reflecting off of those clouds. Nothing more.

Flashing lights in clouds automatically equal UFO......smh

You live 5 miles as the crow flies from Newark Airport, one of the top 50 busiest airports in THE WORLD!

You live 14 miles as the crow flies from lower Manhattan, one of the busiest cities IN THE WORLD!

You live 8.5 miles as the crow flies from Staten Island, one of the most storm ravaged areas from Sandy in which their are emergency crews STILL looking for bodies in buildings and doing massive cleanup.

I cannot believe the amount of UFO rhetoric or Project Bluebeam nonsense being thrown about in the thread.

IT ISN'T A UFO FOLKS!!!!

And considering the fact that you live in one of the most highly populated areas in the country, you would think that if this is a UFO sighting it would be all over the news or social media or facebook. But it isn't.

You all are making something out of nothing.

THANK YOU!!! There are some sane and reasonable people around here. But if you ask the OP, he's not trying to insinuate anything.
