Exactly. It's aggravating when people accuse atheists of saying that we "know gods do not exist". That is not the case for most of us. We just don't believe they exist.

I do believe that if someone says that they know gods do not exist, they should be ready to prove it 100%

Well strangely...(and I can't believe I have to point this out to you) but aliens are supposed to be physical beings you can see but God is a spiritual being living in a dimension you can't see.

I can;t see Goid becuase I live in another dimension. But I'm suppossed to be able to see aliens. Are there any photos of any? Rememebr aliens are the invention of the movie industry.

I can't believe I have to point this out ... for every grain of sand on the Earth is a star ... there has to be life out there (common sense). There does not have to be a God in the sky turning man's ribs into a woman. There does not have to be talking snakes and talking burning bushes. What is so hard about that?

The movie industry did not make up the other habitable planets with potential for life.

Jehovah is not God's name. It is the combination of God's name and the Hebrew word hovah. Hovah means ruin, disaster.

The reason that God and His followers believe homosexuality to be sinful is because it does not allow for the procreation of the human race. There is also the increased probablity of the spread of deadly diseases. Have you ever heard of sepis or septic shock. They worship; among others; the pope, various saints, various idols, someone they call "Mary"(though she bares much more resemblance to isis and other female pagan "gods"), etc.... Did you know that before they called themselves Catholics, they were called Romans? That's right! And they used to take Christians and throw us to the lions. They even used to throw us up on crosses and light our heads on fire, until one of their fancy emperors decided there was enough money to be made by creating a state religion based on Christianity. So then the whole lot of Roman society became Catholic. And they took all the candle lighting, statue praying, and secret societies they used to have and just mixed them up with the Bible. Anyone who didn't agree with it, was either hunted down and killed or kicked out of the country.

Luke 4:8

"You shall do homage to the Lord your God; Him alone shall you adore."

1 John 2:1

"And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and He is the propitiation for our sins."

Mark 2:7 is pretty clear about who has the power to forgive sins

"Why doth this man speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but GOD ONLY."

Matthew 23:9 says;

"And call no man your FATHER upon the earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven."

I could fill multiple posts on the topic, but the evidence is clear. Catholics are not Christians.

So let me get this straight. The people who left Europe to come to America did so because they wanted freedom of religion from these type of people you speak of, correct? The catholics?

So the real christians came to America? Is this your belief? If it is, what did those people do when they got here? They murdered the natives and stole from them! They killed people while accusing them to be witches. They stole people from their homes and made them their slaves. Is this the kind of christian you are modeled after?

I do not believe that God would punish another human being just because he or she has the same reproductive organs as the person that they love.

No, Catholics do not worship the Pope, the saints, or Mary. Take ten minutes to research Catholicism from sources that aren't steeped in hatred, like yours appear to be, and you'd know that.

That is one of the stupidest things I've read in recent memory.

The Catholic church was started by the Apostles, following the death of Christ and has been the same church ever since -- the Eastern Orthodox left the Catholic church in 1054 and the Protestants left the Catholic church, starting in the 16th Century, but it is the Catholic church that goes all the way back to the people being thrown to the lions.

If you believe that Constantine created the Catholic church in 320AD, then he also subsequently created all Orthodox and Protestant offshoots, as they stem from the very same church that existed in 320AD. However, conspiracy nuts aside, rest assured that Constantine didn't create anything... he wasn't even a Christian until he was on his deathbed, if then.

Wake up, drop the hatred of others, and learn to read history.

i haven't read you're full thread yet so i apologise if you have already covered this one, but the above quote doesn't sit right with me, i know that God is real, and i find it very hard to believe that God would hate gay people, if God created them that way why would he then hate them for it?

being gay is not a choice, and it amazes me that in this day and age people still think that it is, to deny being gay means to live a lie,

do you honestly believe deep down in your heart that God would rather someone never loved and was unhappy forever over them finding love with the same sex?

my older brother is gay and he was too scared to tell our family, he was on anti depressant tablets for years and instead he told us that the tablets were for high blood pressure which as you can imagine had my parents really worried, when he did tell us it made no difference what so ever, my parents were just relieved that he didn't have high blood pressure,

so are you telling me that being gay is a choice? if so please explain why you think this,

As I said in the above post, Love should never be punished.

God would never punish someone for loving another person with the same reproductive organs as them.

Love should be celebrated, not hated.
