Not really, Clintons in Cairo over Israel, Egypts trying to broke a ceasefire, aljazeerah is very active in all the media and propaganda..

but it was more just to keep everyone else updated!

Udi Segal on Channel 2 says Israel’s inner forum of nine ministers is convening now, with the same dilemmas it has faced for the last couple of days — whether to go for a ceasefire or step up Operation Pillar of Defense. If the former, he says, Israel does not want a written agreement but rather verbal understandings.

He says Hillary Clinton, shuttling between Jerusalem, Ramallah and Cairo, is pressing Mohammed Morsi, who in turn is pressing Hamas. To be brutal, he says, the US is telling Morsi, “Either there’s an agreement, or your US aid check won’t be coming. Congress simply won’t approve it.”

Segal says that the Tel Aviv bombing does not drastically change the picture for the ministers meeting in Jerusalem, even though it has likely stoked some Israelis’ passions for an intensified assault on Hamas.

Quite the conundrum for Morsi . . . what's the selling price an idiology?

And a bit of a slap for those in the US who don't necessary ascribe to the viewpoint of their elected officials. Nice use of the all-so-darned-elusive tax dollar.

Any word on the size of the cheque and will this be in addition to the $4.5 billion 'loan' from teh IMF yesterday?

It would also be kinda nice to see the US say something to BOTH sides such as . . . stop shooting, you ignorant spoiled little pricks or neither one of you are getting another cent..

It would be in addition to the IMF loan.

The USA gives Egypt up to 2 billion a year. There is also a bill being considered that approves $450 million more in emergency aid.

Not much really. 3 explosions on Reuters feed approx. 20 minutes ago but quiet ever since. Harry Fear went down again, OccupiedAir has same stream as Reuters and RT seems to be showing some kind of protest in London (?)

Anyway, those are the ones I have up and am monitoring at the moment.

BTW: Thanks for the Twitter updates, I do not have twitter and cannot follow that side of things.
