Haifa, Israel – There is only one thing worse than the image of a child killed by military conflict, and that is the image of a child killed by military conflict having deliberately been placed in the line of fire.

War is, by definition, a very nasty business, and invariably it is the innocents on all sides who bear a significant cost in lives lost, people maimed and communities traumatized.

But solid evidence now reveals how Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza have been deliberately placing their civilian population in mortal danger, choreographing a number of seemingly gory scenes, as well as releasing images from other conflicts, such as Iraq and Syria, and passing them off as dead Gazan civilians killed by Israeli missiles.

In an attempt to persuade the world that Israel is committing war crimes and to distract attention away from the illegal and immoral use of their own population as human shields, Hamas has resorted to staging a number of fake deaths and scenes of severely injured people right in front of international TV crews.

The BBC recently broadcast a news report showing a man being carried off by four others, seemingly the victim of an Israeli missile strike, only for him to reappear in the same clip a few seconds later wandering around completely unharmed. The same organization’s Jon Donnison yesterday re-tweeted a picture of the dead body of a young girl on a stretcher in Gaza with the headline "Heartbreaking," only for it to transpire that the girl had sadly been killed three weeks earlier in

I have a hard time imagining that happening...Look how divided we are just on this site...Until we get bombed in our own land, for #ing lies, and the media reports us protesters and those who fight back as terrorists, we just won't get it, I don't think...

Although this would be good, I can only imagine that either side would take the opportunity to rocket or air strike or bomb or shell or mortar the protesters and claim they were aiming at a military facility / underground base etc.

Reading through this update posted on Haaretz makes my head spin.

West Bank source tells Haaretz that if Al-Aqsa Brigades have claimed responisbility for the attack, then it is an Gaza branch, and not a cell located in the West Bank. He said that in the West Bank there is no activity of the brigades who disarmed and were given pardons in the West Bank. In Fatah's official website, there is no official notice on the Tel Aviv attack, and Arabic websites are citing a brief annoucnment that says the Al-Aqsa Brigades claim responsibility and that the person who carried out the attack has escaped. It's from a news article that illustrates propaganda, from which "side" is up to the reader, however it is a relevant update in my opinion and useful for future use when we look back at today's events and perhaps the article has been edited or removed for some reason, we can look back here for quotes and times etc.

It is obviously BS trying to say that they are faking deaths.... There is no faking the deaths of innocent women and children, it is there for the whole world to see. I suppose it is not like fox to report anything false though And I agree that this article will be pulled once enough people get to see it....

Iran has confirmed its military aid to Hamas, Al Jazeera reports.

“We are proud to defend the people of Palestine and Hamas,” Iranian parliament speaker Ali Larijani reportedly says on the Iranian parliament’s website. “Our assistance to them has been both financial and military,” he adds, without providing details.

How do you know it is BS? It looks legit to me. Israel is defending itself. If Mexico started sending missles into California America would not hesitate to defend itself. How is Israel defending itself different? America would have boots on the ground long before now. This is Iran stirring the pot. The Middle East is boiling over from weak responses from the West. It is not really about Palestine. Also i will post as i like. If my opinion differs from yours tough break.

Maybe it is, maybe it is not; the important bit is that we can use the information when this situation is over (hopefully soon, hopefully peacefully) to call out whichever media source or whichever journalist etc as a bona fide liar.

Palestinian sources in Cairo say a cease-fire will not be announced on Wednesday, due to disagreement over the Gaza blockade. The source says that Israel refuses to include the lifting of the blockade as a term in the truce agreement.

I have a feeling that the ministers are meeting about approving a ground operation, but this is just speculation on my part.

This may seem a little off topic but when watching these live cams this morning, they show
this nice pretty day and what seems like an 'any town' planet Earth type of scene. It seems
peaceful and nice, almost like a weather cam showing an ideal day .
And now the bombings begin ...............
Without the noise, it looks almost like a tourist destination video.
