Had a very similar experience after saying goodbye to one of our beloved 4 legged friends in September of last year. It was a couple of days after; wife and I were tucked in, and our 2nd dog was in his usual spot on the bed by her feet. I was in that twilight state - not quite awake, not quite asleep.

Heard the familiar and distinct sounds our girly girls nails on the cedar chest at the foot of the bed, followed by the sensation of sag as she transitioned to the foot of the mattress. After which came the 'spin' that most dogs make before settling. Followed up by a 'weight' along my left side, centered by my hip. Pretty much a play by play of the nightly routine with her for almost 12 years. Definitely a cathartic event, but hasn't happened since.

So, was it a paranormal event? Dunno - that's outside my frame of experience. If it was, maybe it was of a type that happens during emotional turmoil, if that's such a thing. Won't rule it out though.

Was it all in my head (like feeling your cell phone vibrate in your pocket, when the phone is sitting next to you on the table?) Maybe - could have been a way for my subconscious to spin up a scenario that would give me closure.

Either way, it felt real enough to me.

Me too! Me too! Although for me, it's not a person, it feels more like an animal. I have felt this several times, and it feels like a cat jumping on the bed, walking around. And I have felt a hamster, and a snake. I'm always in bed trying to take a nap when this happens, and even when I'm trying to go to bed for the night.
Thank you for posting your thoughts. I found your post when I googled key words.

A few years ago I was sleeping at my grandmas' house, that was my home at that time, and I woke up for no reason in the middle of the night (don't recall if I had a bad dream or something), and when I looked to my blanket I saw a CAT (we had no cats, we lived in a comercial street, all doors/windows were closed, there was no way a cat entered my house for any "physical" ways), and of course I FREAKED OUT, throwed the blanket on the floor and ran to the living room without looking back. I was FULLY awake sitting at the couch trying to breath and understand wtf had just happened, and when I looked at the other side of the room I saw the same cat sitting on the desk looking at me. I scrubbed my eyes for a few seconds (half minute, it was a eternity) because I didn't believe it was real. Then I looked again and he was gone... Of course it took me a long time to sleep that night, and I still have no idea what was that and that's the first time I tell anyone about it because so many people in here experience these paranormal stuffs so I know I wasn't/am crazy heheh

I've had similar experiences and just looked it up to see if anyone else had experienced these same things...all my life I've felt that I was very sensitive to the spirit world and back in my youth, I felt a presence behind me but there I was on the toilet and a wall behind me...so I know it was real. My son-in-law passed away on 2/1/17, and since that time I've been grieving for him and for the loss to our family...left a beautiful 4 year old daughter, my granddaugher, and my daughter grieving his loss as well. I was able to get to the hospital to say goodbye to his body but even though he was physically dead, I felt his spirit was still there.

About a week or two ago, I was awake but not up and then felt the edge of the bed go down near my calf and a nudging...I quickly looked up as my husband comes in and sits down beside me...this was different and I knew it before I even saw that no one was there...I wasn't afraid...just felt like a spirit was there...maybe it was Jay. I don't know.

Then this week after being gone on vacation for a week, I was awakened by this same occurrence, only it felt like it was heavier this time. I immediately sat up in the bed and looked toward the closed door of my bedroom. I distinctly saw the outline of 2 spirits/apparitions...adult size, softly white. I blinked my eyes and looked again...they were still there...did not feel threatened or scared at all...just blessed really as I feel that whomever they were...they were trying to comfort me...maybe it was my parents, whom I lost at an early age (18 mos.) and did not grow up with them (placed in orphan's home at age 2), and then lost my mother (25 year invalid who couldn't speak due to stroke in 1957) in 1982; then my father passed in 1994. So, don't know what to make of these occurrences...I have been grieving so hard these past weeks. I keep seeing signs~remembrances of Jay at the most unexpected times. I can't believe these are just coincidences...I feel the presence of loved ones.

I have had that happen to me (and my wife) a few times....quite annoying when your not expectiong it

It's also happened on the couch while watching tv. I actually felt like I was going to fall over as the weight was considerable. We could actually see a grove on the cushion....freaked us out a little.

Cant tell you exactly what it is as i am no expert but I can relate as i have lived it just the same.

Thanks for sharing OP. S+F

I've felt my heavy ass couch shake uncontrollably with me on it and the kicker is i have lamp that is right next to the couch that is not nailed in and really easy to move and shake and that lamp was not moving a inch meanwhile the couch was shaking uncontrollably until i told it to knock it the uck off. And sure as chiting it stopped on command. And its more happened more then once.

I am glad I am not the only one who has felt the bed dip but nobody's there. It's strange bec I never had that feeling until I moved. It started about a month ago even though I moved into my new home over a year ago. Anyway, I have three kids, one is married & lives with her husband of course, one is in elementary and the other is a toddler. I have a husband and a cat. One night, my husband was watching TV in the living room and I was lying in bed. I was lying on my side when I felt the bed dip down by my feet and then I felt a soft warm weight pressed against my leg. I thought my cat some how go let in our bedroom and I was fully awake when it happened so I looked around and there was nothing there. I opened up our bedroom door and noticed she was sleeping on the couch. Since then, I have been feeling the bed dip down by my feet. Yes the first night it freaked me out but every night after that, I just let it go. But I have been feeling that since sometime last month. Weird.

I’m not sure what date this was posted and didn’t think to check before I started typing, so I’ll go ahead.

Hello. I’m JC Cole. I’m 14 years old and live in a small town in Alabama. We have just recently moved from a house that my mother lived in as a child. She has always talked about her “paranormal” experiences from back then. I never experienced anything like that until I was ten years old.

One night, I woke up sometime around midnight. (Wasn’t totally sure exactly what time, because I didn’t care in this situation)
I felt like I had to go use the restroom. I always slept on my chest and stomach for some reason, so I began to push myself up using my arms. Immediately afterwards, something that feels like hands touched my back and pushed me back onto the mattress.

I have never been as scared as I was that night. Almost every night after that, I would feel something sit on my bed as mentioned above. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, please tell me about it! SNIP: Removed personal info

Yes, that was my first and only half-body apparition I saw. It was very clear, and she sat on my bed, and pushed the comforter down!

I used to do a hell of a lot of Amphetamine back when i was young dumb and full of c*m.

Caused me to experience sleep apnoea paralysis, it's not nice, you are scared witless, cannot move, and fell as if there is something in the room, on your bed, or even on your chest.

Took years for it to go away, i still get it once in a blue moon, not a nice experience.

But you live and learn.

Hi

Im new here and english is not my native language so sorry some errors andvance. Know this theard is old but this is closest i found to relate my experience.

This thing is happened to me few times over the years and dont even remembering those but now it happend again last night and im so freaked out that i had to Google this and find something.

So, last night i was on my bed (bed is placed a way that only access is one side) just trying to sleep, backside. Not long i felt and heard like someone sat next to me and of course i open my eyes and nothing. After that i turn to my right side, face to side that i come to bed and felt and heard that presure. Just like 10s after that i feel it again but like something sat and then get lying next to me. I was so terrified that i cant even put that in words, shacking and heart pumping like crazy. I didint even dare to open my eyes, just trying to thing something else but also same time i feel like you know someone is stare at you like 20cm away 😳 fear was totaly paralyzed me. Almost same time i feel my pillow is pressed front my face, i dont know, like "it" wanted to expose my face more from pillow or something? Must admit that at this point i was going to break crying. Pillow pressing stopped and i dont know did it notice my state cause i starting to feel my head like small hand ( i have thick hair so hard to say more) comforting me. Short after "it" started comforting me i felt such a feeling that closest thing i can get in my mind is time when i was knee surgery and pumpend meds in at surgery room, relaxed and mild euphoric. Not long when i was relaxed felt that bed side pumped up again and i thought "it" left.

Think you all know how well i slept after that.. Went few hours i even dare to go wc. But at the end i got some sleep and now, at day, i dont have any theory what that was about. I think this is 4th time "this kind" of thing happened to me and last time was so many years ago that i was almost forgot these Incidents. Wondering that sleep paralysis but i was not even that tired when i went to sleep and this episode started very soon after i entered to bed. And over all this was scariest of them all. Short, first experience was same kind as this but long time ago when i live with my parents and i was drunk so then i think is was just drunk crazynes but now im not so sure. I've been thinking this all day and first time ever i told about these things to anyone and called my sister, she told that when she was teenager and we live our parents house she had same kind of experience; she woke up middle of the night when something blow air to her ear and when woken hear whisper. She dosent remember what that whisper said.

So, i dont belive any paranormal and such a things etc. As a sane normal person i see somekind of logic on these experiences and that frightens me, these are not some random object falling by itself. My sisters case etc: if i wanted gently and not scary way wake someone up, blowing air to target ear would be optimal, maybe not so effect but do a job if you are not in hurry.

Skeptical, otherhand i know that mind and senses can trick you, but how this can be same way almost anytime? And one time it wasnt night etc.

Long and messy text but i had to open some where. Thanks for reading, opinions and info/solutions? are more than welcome.
