You see this is half the problem, people like you waltzing into threads without reading half the content. I think you will find that someone had already posted a link to the local newspaper of that area that confirmed that this same thing had happened the year before. Here it is again Telegraph and argus report
Two Asian girl cadets were also verbally abused for selling poppies and two other sellers were set upon in the city centre. One young poppy seller had her tin snatched from her shoulder.

As I said, it's a hoax - one of many that have repeated themselves for the last two years. It's tedious and an insult to our collective intelligence.
And the same goes for you, read the WHOLE thread instead of forming an opinion which is not based on any evidence other than your gut feeling. It has happened before in only last year. Telegraph & Argusedit on 11/11/2012 by Hanrak77 because: Spelling

Are you sure about that link? The only mention of Asians is in relation to two Asian cadets who were spat at by the youths.

I just googled for the genuine Bradford account of Muslims abusing/attacking poppy sellers and noticed how many anti-Muslim organisations have released stories in the past week about it. A cynic would suspect they are using this Remembrance Day to incite hatred. Oddly enough, the lack of news stories from actual news sites kind of undermines their BS.
Maybe some of the members in this thread would enjoy this? Muslim youths start a poppy appeal. Nah! Wrong kind of Muslims aren't they?!
The thread topic was Cadets in Liverpool being abused by Muslims and there's no evidence at all that it ever happened. Instead of members asking why a Nationalist website would make up racial/religious scare-stories we're off down the road of random anecdotes, inaccurate story links and nothing at all to do with Liverpool or Cadets.

Funny thing is they HAVE! to have minders ,,,as they are CHILDREN and under protection of children act need minders(adult supervision) in the streets to protect them from NUTTERS of all descriptions.
When I did the poppy appeal when I was in the cadets I could lose count of the WHITE people harrasing me ...PUNKS(was in the 80s) drunks , Irish , etc etc .. but did I tar all WHITE people with the same brush as you ...Errr no I didnt
It is also strange as there is no follow up to that story anywhere?the argus one..
Harrasing of and theft from People collecting for the poppy appeal happens evey yeaR , BY PEOPLE OF EVERY BACKGROUND....
ie from the bradford and argus article you posted ........tHE ONLY MENTION OF RACE IS THUS...
"Two Asian girl cadets were also verbally abused for selling poppies and two other sellers were set upon in the city centre. One young poppy seller had her tin snatched from her shoulder."
SO YOU SEE THE CADETS WERE ASIAN , THE ATTACKERS RACES ARE NOT MENTIOned!!! In YOUR SOURCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
in your mind you have read "asian thugs (cos it bradford all thugs must be asian) attack white army cadet ( same reasons) on poppy day.
..pathetic Hanrak

The fact that the racial identity of these animals has been omitted from the artical only strengthens my suspicion that who did this would be a Muslim with extreme views. This happens all too often in the British media for fear of stirring up the racial bucket.

So you've finally read the link you've been posting over and over? And despite no mention of Muslims in the article you reckon they are Muslim extremists?

Thing is, in most towns we see this happen and it's the white kids doing it. My mate got stabbed by a bunch of white teens and my car's been broken into by local heroin addicts.

My point is that trouble-makers come from everywhere and no colour, religion or region has the monopoly.

Looking at the replies here I am actually astounded to see so much racism. Obviously children shouldn't be manhandled and I wasn't there to witness the truth of the event but maybe it didn't go down as reported, this could be one of many reportings which are designed to encourage public opinion more and more in favour of war with muslim countries. Logically, doesn't it seem a little off that people would just attack children over poppies? It makes more sense if you consider that perhaps the kids got into a verbal dispute and were thrown out. The fact that a shopkeeper or two were muslim might be exploited to turn it into a part of the pro war campaign.
If poppies are about remembrance they would be free, it is shocking when you see what the money is used for so I don't think children should be handling them anyhow but I encourage you all to reconsider opinions about stories like this and keep racism and ignorance out of it.

No two religions are equal in the prevalence of extremism (both relative and absolute), nor in the danger the extremists possess. So judging which religion is worse is justified. Also, religion is not a race, so crying racism is nonsense.

Over a week on and there is still no one can stand this story up...turns out that kids joining the Liverpool cadets were in more danger from their instructors than beared bogey men in robes.
And that to me is the point.
This was a lame attempt by a far right group to hijack remembrance day...some of you fell for it, without bothering to check either the source or the facts.

It's weird too, because its pretty much always the same people who start these threads or participate in the bashing of Islam, always the same people
Yet criticism of Christianity appears to be open season on ATS.
By the way, I think most British people have come to the conclusion that pretending a problem doesn't exist doesn't make it go away.
Almost half the country would back a party that cracked down on Islamic extremism, restricted the building of new mosques and encouraged English or British nationalism.
A total of 48 per cent said that they would support a group that vowed to crack down on immigration and Islamic extremists.
A Populus poll found that 48 per cent of the population would consider supporting a new anti-immigration party committed to challenging Islamist extremism, and would support policies to make it statutory for all public buildings to fly the flag of St George or the union flag.
The Telegraph
If 48 per cent would support such policies, could it not be that the views expressed by such “extremists” are not extreme after all but rather mainstream?

I am shocked, disgusted and angered that this very legitimate topic has been put in the hoax bin. Perhaps ATS moderators are also scared of being tarred with the 'we promote racism' brush.

However the bashing of any religions followers is not on. we don't want them shoving their religious crap down our throats so why would we shove our non religious crap down theirs?
