Hey Seabag...you may want to pay particularly close attention to this.

I believe that this sums it up about as perfectly as possible.

Warning: EXTREME GRAPHIC LANGUAGE & TRUTH WHICH MAY PERSONALLY DISPLEASE YOU.

Ya ya ya ya….they’ve been posted 600 times.

So I’ll ask you the same question as I asked the OP - how is sitting on your duff working out for you? Do you think if you and the Carlin’s of the country sit out this election somehow that’s going to teach TPTB a lesson?

You can’t win a war from your couch, General Do Nothing!

Then perhaps you ought to look at it 601 times.

A Truth never dies due to lack or overt exposure. Either way, it is still the Truth.

And how has following the status quo been working out for you?

Only a foolish man fights a war with no chance of winning.

If you wish "to win" the battle a great general will always deploy tactics which the opposition is not expecting.

Sometimes what you may consider "doing nothing" is, in reality, accomplishing more than meets the eye but one must be astute and wise enough to see and act outside of the box. Gandhi was a perfect example of employing this unusual strategy to perfection.

"Look...he beat you with nothing !!!"
"Yeah...well sometimes 'nothing' can be a real cool hand."

Haha. And how is voting working for YOU, buddy?

I'll tell you what. You go ahead and list the changes you are "working" for in this Country, and we'll check back in a year, five years, etc, and see if ANY of them came true. Furthermore, we'll specifically look at the democrat or republican you "put" into office, and see if they contributed towards whatever "change" you foolishly believe you are working towards.

Sitting home is NOT a bad idea, if you realize the elections are a shame. As Ghandi understood, sometimes doing nothing is a more POWERFUL statement, and therefore cause of change, then doing SOMETHING.

In your mind, not voting is simply not doing anything, and if you don't do anything, nothing happens.

In our minds, going out and voting is a sham, and therefore, by not participating, we are doing OUR part.

Would you sign something that you don't agree to? Then why VOTE for something/someone you don't agree to?

I choose not to vote, because I do not believe in the sham that we call the Presidential Elections. By not voting , I AM doing something. I am making a firm stance, a statement, and refusing to acknowledge the authenticity of the fake elections.

Sorry bud, but I fail to see what YOU are doing by voting.

The OP makes a thread saying anyone who votes for EITHER Romney OR Obama is an idiot, and you come on here accusing him of being an Obama supporter?

Where do you get off, man? Apart from supporting war with Iran, this is the only thing you do on this website and its f-ing obnoxious. Every damn thread you just go in and accuse people of being Obama supporters, even if they make it clear they are not, slap your eyes rolling e-motes in there, and think you're making an intelligent argument. You're the one with your head in the sand to think Romney or ANYONE the "powers" deem fit for presidential office can make any positive difference in this country's direction. Republican, Democrat, it makes no difference because the banks have this government held hostage, but you're so focused on this left/right nonsense that you can't see it. You're delusional, and you prove it with every post.

Do nothings? How is not voting doing nothing when the very act of voting DOES NOTHING?

So make a statement then!

If millions of people made such a statement, especially a statement in support of Ron Paul, perhaps the crooked, election rigging GOP leaders will see how wrong they were to fiddle Paul out of the race.

And it might well encourage Paul or someone of a similar calibre to run as an independent next time around.

Personally, speaking as a non-American, not getting together and demanding Ron Paul to run is going to be the biggest mistake the American people will have made in decades.

Your choice though.

The mindset of the OP is sick and it’s catching. Seabag and I are pulling for different horses this race but I respect him for doing so. It isn’t that often we agree but I am with him on this.

Go ahead people stay home from the looks of it you would make the wrong choices anyway. Sit at home on your couch and be counted the same as non-citizens and convicts. They can’t vote and you’re just too apathetic to vote.

I would probably write in Ron Pauls name if I would have signed up in time to vote because He is following the Golden Rule.

I would hardly call sitting on your arse a great tactic.

At this point voting is the same as being a non-citizen or a convict. Too pathetic to vote? What the hell does that even mean? Come on, that's a troll post if I've ever seen one and it has nothing to do with anything. Why is it assumed that if someone does not vote, that they are a lazy, good for nothing, couch potato? I don't vote, but I do involve myself with my small community so we can make decisions for ourselves instead of allowing someone several hundred miles away make them for us.

I contend that its the voters who are the true lazy people in this country. You have so much (misplaced) confidence in the power of your vote that you think that's all you have to do. Just go check a couple of boxes every 4 years and you think you've done your part. That's lazy. Now compare that to many non-voters who are involved in their communities to free ourselves from the ruling class which rules us through fraudulent and meaningless institutions like the voting system.

Please give me an example of how your vote counts and how it has made a positive, or even a negative, difference on how this country operates.

Didn't you get the memo? Most people in here are republicans and will vote someone like Romney that is nothing more than a phoney candidate, and won't bring anything new to the table. The fun thing is that they know Romney is the same as Obama, hell even worst imo, and will still vote for him.

First recheck what I wrote then maybe you will understand.

Not pathetic but I guess it could apply here

The word is Apathetic if you are not familiar here is the definition.
1: having or showing little or no feeling or emotion : spiritless
2: having little or no interest or concern : indifferent
— ap•a•thet•i•cal•ly adverb
See apathetic defined for English-language learners »

As for the rest I stand by what I said. Perhaps as I said you would not be a good candidate to vote.

I said he sounds like a disillusioned hope and chang’er.

That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it!

Where do you get off, man?

Anywhere I please!!

Apart from supporting war with Iran, this is the only thing you do on this website and its f-ing obnoxious.

I don’t support war with Iran…never have. If you don’t like my posts then move along. Obviously they are appealing to you because you claim to have read so many.

I do believe there are fundamental differences between the conservative government I advocate for and the socialist government this POTUS is creating. Romney is not ‘my guy’ but I totally believe he’ll do a better job, therefore I will vote.

Do nothings? How is not voting doing nothing when the very act of voting DOES NOTHING?

People who vote are participating in the system. The rest of you are little old ladies sitting on your duff complaining.

It's disheartening to see people not vote, and even more so, seeing people choose "the lesser of two evils". I don't really see much of a difference between the two candidates, but I digress. Honestly, I feel that we should vote outside of the corrupt two party system for this election but maybe I'm just saying that because the RNC sham pissed me off so much.

I do see people working within the republican party trying to spread their libertarian ideas, though. That gives me a little hope. And of course, if you're reading this, you can safely assume I'm voting for Gary Johnson and his peace sign shirts.

No, your original unedited post said "pathetic" not "apathetic". I understand what apathetic means.

But my point still stands. How is it apathetic to not vote? I take action in other ways that are actually meaningful and have an effect, unlike voting which merely gives small minded and short sighted people the feeling that they are having an effect.

Maybe you didn’t know but when you change a post there is a green edit line put at the bottom where you type in the reason you will find I never edited my post. Here I will edit this post to show you.

If you do not understand how not voting is apathetic then the school system has failed you and I am afraid I do not possess the necessary teaching skills to bring you up to speed.

I really have nothing else to say. This "election" is a complete joke. You have no choice.

If you think this election has already been fixed, you may be right.

I will vote for the lesser of two evils, just in case you're wrong.

The real idiots are the people who vote for 3rd party candidates who have absolutely NO chance of winning, and who will help "the greater evil" win.

'Withdrawal in disgust is not the same as apathy' as someone once said.

And from someone in the UK who seems to view your choices (according to these boards at least) as a Kenyan Communist Muslim or a rich nutter who believes in sacred pants, I'd say don't bother voting, you just encourage them.

If you vote, you give them permission to do what they do.

Sometimes I wish people would start voting with machine guns.......... Or obama and romney's planes collide in midair, then come fireballing down into the capitol building and take out the rest of the lifers in there. That would be a glorious day.

With all the dumbasses voting for the left or right hand of evil, and the rest staying home, it's nearly impossible to make our political monster change.....
