I have said this in a few other threads so im going to say it again,and i expect the same response.

DONT forget your TVs ,with todays technology you just cant rule it out.

I have one simple example that is "HOW do they now how many people are watching lets say
x factor or americas got talent" ?

Im sure youll be along to tell me to quit with this tv thing ,you know who you are.

Why do you jump from just watching... to abusing and molesting you?

Maybe you have an irrational expectation caused by some indoctrinated beliefs? either way it cant be as bad as the old testament. If we are to use historical examples we cant avoid the bible... god back then makes a perfect example of the hellish world your imagining as the future.

Im rather optimistic about the future. But being naive need not be a part of optimism. Apparently you are OK with the full-scale invasion of our privacy? History has shown that too much power can be abused. That doesnt mean it will be, but it can be.

Wow! The first response to the OP and you did exactly what I have done for years.

I think I read about schools giving kids laptops and they were using them to spy on the kids or something. After that I did it.

"Just in case" is my excuse to. It's not like the tape costs much...

I agree....but Id still be more worried about the public than the government haha...atleast the government USUALLY has to get warrants and things like that...where a hacker could care less about any rights at all.

Any surveillance system that can be defeated with a strip of tape doesn't worry me too much. Until we have fully passive electronics that are powered from "the air" I'm not concerned as I can easily deny most of these devices electricity. I can cover the lense. I can block it's reporting features from leaving my home network.

But yeah, people need to be aware of what's being built up around them.

The OP refers to a combination of things, not only webcams but also public cameras, indexing of your entries on big sites (such as Google), GPS-locating, mapping and photographing every inch of the world, etc.

Its not difficult to see where all of this is going...

Yup, same here. But how do you or can you disable the mic? I mean, it's not like you can unplug it from a lap top or would tape muffle it enough?

I saw that thread too. After all the terrorists are gone, who do they go after next? What kind of agenda is that? Something has to be done. We can't really just watch this happen, can we?

The director of the CIA was fired because they were secretly monitoring his emails and found out he is having an affair. Thats like saying "There is no escape from our eye, we even monitor the CIA".

Since when do people believe anything regarding the CIA? It's their job to be crafty. That monitoring is also something that he'd be well aware of... he isn't stupid. Heck, it is kind of difficult to not notice the giant white globes of a SIGINT office in my town. Anyone who believes that the King of Spies got into an affair AFTER he got his job is probably mistaken. Ideological beliefs over an event/policy seems to be more likely. But I don't know enough about those factors...

Well they can watch to infinity I have nothing but positive intentions for humanity although we can all agree that not all of us are the greatest cuts of beef on the planet.

They control the future through technology and a monopoly on violence so why all the damned fuss.
