Machine! I was wondering what happened to you, bumpkin.
I was out by the bayou thumping my Bible and dancing with poisonous vipers, it was one heck of a hootenanny! Did you miss me?

By the way, you might want to fix your avatar, it shows up as a broken link and it has since you started posting in my threads. I wonder what it is?
Maybe a picture of burning heretics, or the thumbscrew, or maybe the seal of the inquisition?
Ill take the avatar off until I can fix it. Wow, those are some nasty stereotypes. Actually, since you asked, its a Paladin from the MMORPG game
World of Warcraft. He has a big beautiful double-handed hammer, which he uses to smash lies and conquer evil!
Arkaleus
Hey bumpkin! I bet you are a republican.
Ding, wrong! Tell him what he didnt win Bob. A new car, a trip to Cabo San Lucas and a fine throw rug!

I bet you think that captialism and television and all the remarkable inventions of this culture are just fine.
As far as my feelings concerning Capitalism go I think a song from the 80s is in order. Oingo Boingo had a nice little ditty titled, Capitalism.
The lyrics are as follows.
There`s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There`s nothing wrong with free enterprise
Don`t try to make me feel guilty
I`m so tired of hearing you cry
There`s nothing wrong with making some profit
If you ask me I`ll say it`s just fine
There`s nothing wrong with wanting to live nice
I`m so tired of hearing you whine
About the revolution
Bringin` down the rich
When was the last time you dug a ditch, baby!
If it ain`t one thing
Then it`s the other
Any cause that crosses your path
Your heart bleeds for anyone`s brother
I`ve got to tell you you`re a pain in the ass
You criticize with plenty of vigor
You rationalize everything that you do
With catchy phrases and heavy quotations
And everybody is crazy but you
You`re just a middle class, socialist brat
From a suburban family and you never really had to work
And you tell me that we`ve got to get back
To the struggling masses (whoever they are)
You talk, talk, talk about suffering and pain
Your mouth is bigger than your entire brain
What the hell do you know about suffering and pain . . .
(Repeat first verse)
(Repeat chorus)
There`s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There`s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There`s nothing wrong with Capitalism
There`s nothing wrong with Capitalism
Now, for my feelings about inventions they are as good or bad as the use for which they were made. Television is also neutral and doesnt posses any
alignment towards good or evil. An argument could be made that the television has been misused but that doesnt change the fact that it is a machine,
nothing more.

I'll bet you think that your lifestyle is acceptable to Jesus. Or maybe nothing you do is acceptable to Jesus, but somehow, magically, it call gets
"forgiven" because you say the magic word.
I came to Jesus Christ a broken sinner who desired to be made new. He in turn forgave my sin and gave me his Holy Spirit, which resides within me. In
Christ, Im free to live a life that is pleasing to him. My old sin nature still struggles to return me to my wretched prior state but the word of God
promises to keep me from destroying myself. I have been sealed in his name and live to do his perfect will.

Truly, bumpkin, your "religion" is far more fantasic than mine, relies upon magical things that will not happen, and indeed requires its membership
to forgoe much of their God-given intellect and exhange it for your fallacy and awful interpretations of the King James Bible.
My religion is more of a relationship. The things of God only seem like magic to us because of our limited perception and lack of scientific
knowledge. As for my God given intellect, I dont recall receiving any form of spiritual lobotomy as part of the package. My mind is still capable of
reason and discourse. The interpretational method that I use for the Holy Bible is well accepted within Christian apologetics.
Arkaleus
Those who quote scripture in order to convict and to shame other people are among the least of all "christians". That's like using the name of
Christ to Damn someone. Oh, wait, you did just that. It is like a disease in your heart, bumpkin, because you are so upset about the words and lives
of other people.
The Holy Bible disagrees with you.
2 Timothy 3:16 KJV
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness:
The Word of God has been given to us and is to be used as a measuring rod to separate good from evil. Without it, we are blind and in the dark, unable
to know the depth of our sin and its terrible consequences. I do not wish that anyone should perish into eternal torment. Thats why I spend time on
these boards, enduring harsh words and personal attacks. I love everyone on this earth and desire to do that good work which my God has commanded
me.
Arkaleus
I can make out your fantasy - You in a golden chariot of fire, alongside your firey Jeezus, smiting down all the sinners and doubters, and casting
them into an eternal destruction of flame and fire. What an establishment of enlightenment and Liberty.
God the Father alone has the authority, power and righteousness to pass judgment on each of us. I pray that no man or woman, upon their death, should
find themselves a sinner in the hands of an angry God.
Arkaleus
Machine, Sorry for calling you bumpkin so many times, but I am frustrated with you a lot.
Apology accepted.
Arkaleus
Please answer these and give us your "Correct teaching." Please do not use Bible quotes. I want your own words, and your own understanding.
All truth and wisdom can be found in the Bible, asking me not to quote it is to remove the foundation on which I stand. However, Ill see if I can
accommodate you.

1. What is Liberty? What is Perfect Liberty?
Liberty is freedom. Perfect liberty is to be free in Christ Jesus to do those things, which he has designed us for. In Christ, I have been set free
from my former bondage to sin and all the destruction it causes. Ive been given the power of Gods Holy Spirit to guide me in truth and ultimate
liberty.

2. What is the inheritance of the children of God? What are they like?
The inheritance we receive from God starts at the moment of true conversion. A new desire is placed within our heart and the former sinful desires
begin to deteriorate and lose their control over us. Piece by piece our old nature dies off and we are set free to do Gods perfect will.
Many wonderful gifts are in store for those who call Jesus Christ their Lord. When we die we are given new hearts, stronger minds and a body that is
eternal and not limited by the normal constraints of time and space. A massive city described as, New Jerusalem is brought down to a new earth and
we are given mansions to live in. The city is illuminated by the light and presence of God. God no longer hides himself from us but moves about us
unrestricted and in the open. I would describe this New Jerusalem to you in much greater detail but that would require Bible quotes.
And this is only that part of the gift that God has chosen to reveal to us. He has far more to give than anything you or anyone could ever imagine!
Arkaleus
3. What is meekness? Why did Christ call upon us to be child-like?
Meekness is a characteristic that displays humility, patience, and a submissive nature. Jesus desired that each of us have child like faith and trust
him to lead us and guide us. As we get older we tend to become more cynical, this type of mindset often acts as a wall preventing us from accepting
Gods words and truth.

4. What is a saint? What is divinity? What are those who have these things like?
A saint is someone who has been redeemed and sanctified by God. We are made holy and pure of heart when this process is complete. Divinity is an
attribute that is only fully represented in God. God is omniscient and all-powerful. We partake of this divinity but are not divine in the way that
God alone is divine.
