Regardless of what the Obama administration might have offered, we now know that Iran is refusing to work any deals with the U.S. until after the
election is over. They know that any "deal" with Obama is futile if he doesn't win the next election.
As for a quote from Salehi in your original link...
Days after the WND report, Ali Akbar Salehi, the regime’s foreign minister, in an interview with the German magazine Der Spiegel, stated, “If
our right to enrichment is guaranteed, we are prepared to offer an exchange.”
We already know that this is a lie. How many times have we heard this before? We gave Iran a chance to make an "exchange" a long time ago and they
refused. Not to mention the fact that Khamenei himself has come out time and time again to say that they will NEVER give in to the U.S. on
ANYTHING.
If or when the day ever comes where Khamenei "works a deal", he will have just made himself look weak after telling Iranians that "sanctions only
make us stronger" over and over and over again. I don't see this ever happening. If anything, keeping the sanctions in place allows Khamenei to
keep control over Iranians so that they're less capable of overthrowing his regime. He's making them weaker by the day.
