If I had posted a video crying for help on YouTube which my parents were fully aware of and there was a single thought that I may kill myself then I would probably be institutionalized.

And the whole Facebook thing is really throwing me off. This girl is supposedly tortured on Facebook yet doesn't delete it. Her parents weren't smart enough to tell her that Facebook isn't that important in the daily life of a teenager.

Or maybe there was something truly sinister going on. Maybe she was an underaged Cam girl that was making money and had a client that got a little attached. They never say what online web cam chat website she was using. Maybe her parents were fully aware of her illegal behavior. They obviously knew she was having sex with boys in high school because that is what caused the fight that left her in a ditch.

I just don't get it. Why would her parents support and support and support yet seemingly do nothing for this girl?

The internet police showing up at her house to notify her that her child pornography went viral. So they will ID her,go to her house and give her the viral status update but no investigation. IRL this does not happen kids get arrested for texting dirty pics to eachother.

RCMP say hacktivist group allegations about Amanda Todd “unfounded”

The RCMP said Tuesday information released by an international hacktivist group identifying a Vancouver area man as Amanda Todd’s tormenter is “unfounded,” and they warned against the spread of false information through social media.

“The outpouring of support, emotion and information is literally overwhelming,” Sgt Peter Thiessen, Lower Mainland District RCMP said in a release. “The Internet and social media were central to Amanda’s story and they are central to our investigation as well.

“One of our big challenges right now, is false information that is being spread by people who appear to be trying to use Amanda’s story to do harm or make a profit.”

A man whose name was released by an international hacktivist group, which claimed they had tracked down Amanda Todd’s online harasser says he met the teen online but he was not one of her tormentors.

And his mother said Tuesday in this Postmedia News story that her family has been subjected to a “lynch mob” mentality.

“It’s really dangerous to throw out names when you don’t know,” Postmedia News quoted her in the story.

“This is doing more harm than good.”

The RCMP said in their release: ”One unfounded allegation involved the release of information that spread quickly online identifying a man as Amanda’s tormenter.”

Yes after digging a little deeper online and reading a few different forums I have come to the conclusion that this girl was a regular on a webcam site.

Just an insecure girl looking for attention and couldn't handle her own actions anymore.

Well the guy in question may not be the main offender but he`s one of them,with all the info that was compiled on him,who was tracked down outside a court house in relation to other child sex offences...

Using the leaked information, CTV News earlier tracked down a man attending court in relation to child-related sex offences, with reportedly the same surname as the man exposed by Anonymous.

The man told CTV News he was friends with Amanda Todd whom he had met online through her singing videos, but that the accusations against him were incorrect and he was not one of her tormentors.

He instead claims it is a case of mistaken identity and he had contacted her to help as he "was a known hacker", The Vancouver Sun reports.

The man, who arrived at court in a black hoodie, says he passed on information to police about Amanda's harasser. He told the Vancouver Sun the man responsible is actually a 26-year-old living in New York using the online alias of Viper.

But..when the bad ones start pretending they are heroes by causing harm to the supposed bad ones, and threaten the innocent with extreme bullying tactics...it is very frustrating.

I have seen anon members who think they are being righteous by going after the children of police officers that have offended their sense of righteousness.

I don't care if a cop is guilty or not of unjust behavior...leave the damn kids out of it..that is going to a very unfair extreme, and they need to be called out on that type of behavior.

Just read an article where the mother of Amanda Todd was interviewed. Amanda Todd hung herself one week before her 16th birthday. Police had been able to trace the cyber stalker to a paedophile in America.

What I am finding difficult to understand is this - technology can put astronauts into space and land on the moon but is unable to track down the exact location of a cyber stalker.

Anonymous sure did stir things up - that is always a good thing because it has given us some direct information such as the guy named - is not (apparently) the cyberstalker. Ironically the guy named by anonymous stated the cyber stalker is a paedophile in America called viper.

So - as I go hmmmmmm - who is the cyberstalker and why can't our supposedly advanced technology track down the originating address of the paedophile???!!! A beautiful but troubled young woman is dead - disrespected even in death but a paedophile is illusive despite all manner of electronic technology available today!!!!

In my opinion I believe that they already got the person(s) responsible for spreading the photos and may possibly be caught in a legal battle with the website that broadcasts this girls home sex shows.

There is a lot of suppression of facts going on in this story.

Again, what father wouldn't have police at the school the moment he found his daughter bloodied in a ditch?

I am really bothered by this story because it plays to the heart of so many people. And so many people will buy the so-called official story without digging deeper and realizing that media outlets have spun this in a way to brainwash the masses and show that "see, nobody is safe! not even pretty young outgoing girls with a "supportive" family at home and everything going for her"

I agree about any father/mother/brother/responsible adult who cared about Amanda Todd banging on the door of the school Principal. The Police may be playing down the real evidence - having been a Police officer myself - and in fact all the media exposure could be about flushing the culprits out into the open. To prefer charges Police have to ensure they have all their proofs. Every charge has a list of proofs and if even one is missing - then you cannot proceed - this is one of many reasons why crooks get away with heaps. One thing is for sure - Amanda Todd called out for help when no one was paying attention - plenty of people are paying attention now!

One fact is painfully clear - a young woman is dead and someone drove her there. People do not wake up one morning and think I will end it all today - people are driven to suicide it is a process. Someone goaded her into exposing herself on the internet - if men were taught as little boys - that women are not sexual playthings - incidents such as these would not happen. All little girls want to be adored and what the paedophile/cyberstalker did was push her - pushed her once to expose herself and pushed her again - this time she opted out of the game.

I read on a website - while flicking through - that the RIP webpage was set up a month prior to her death??? If that is true then society really is in a dark dark place.
