So, why don't you explain why you think Bush has done such a great job? [edit on 18-10-2004 by Damned]

Terrorism: The terrorists that attacked nd flattened our World Trade centers came into our country and were preparing and training for that attack here for years according to all reports I have read.

Those terrorists are currently running for re-election. Vote Bush to approve of their actions.

It is interesting that Kerry wants to stop outsourcing of US jobs to foreign countries but bashes Bush for not outsourcing our entire pharmaceutical industry to Canada... duh...

I personally support the US people coming to Canada to get there medical drugs, we have a cap on our drugs they can only charge so much use don't and I feel sorry for the people that can't afford to pay it.

Maybe a Canadian wants Bush to win so this country will self-destruct. Then they can slip over the border and collect the spoils.

I want Bush to win because I believe he is a strong leader there's nothing you have there that we don't have here in Canada. I certainly do not wish for a attack to happen to the US, what happens with the US can greatly effect Canada as well.

Man im having fun reading those "Bush is so great that he would fart entire west coast down" etc..No one doesnt talk about facts..and if someone intellectual here does..ppl just say its from kerrys campaign flyer or something.
Doesnt anyone worry about bush being complete moron? The man cannot even spell right..And just stated that sweden is so neutral that they dont even have an army
..we laughed our asses of for that one in here neighbour of sweden. (ok their army is joke but they still have it)
And about us economy...u must be a complete retard if you say it has gone better during last 4 years...learn strock marketing and economics and then start talking about how low the loan interest are. They are going to raise them soon u know? And its just a bluff to keep them low so world would think "hey they dont raise loan rates, they must be doing good"...well usa is number uno money loaner from other countries..totally dependent from european economics and their loan rates. But what goes around, comes around. When usa economy crashes to the bottom its going to affect european economy too. Without that nobody would give a #.

Terrorism: The terrorists that attacked nd flattened our World Trade centers came into our country and were preparing and training for that attack here for years according to all reports I have read. That means that Clinton let them come in. Kerry says our borders are leakier now than ever. FALSE. I frequently travel to the 1000 Islands NY area. Even though I could still easily haul any bomb smaller than a mini-van in from there, it is much better patrolled and the customs checkpoints are much more strict and better managed than during the Clinton years.

Clinton let them in? Pu-lease!!!
No one let anyone do anything. It just happened. This is complete and utter BS.

Economy: Home ownership is the highest it has ever been. I just built a rather large addition on my house (5000+ sq ft). I never could have done this if the interest rates were where they were in previous years. The money I spent to build that paid the salaries of a bunch of people either working on the house or making the stuff I built the house from.

Good for you, but this is BS. I can't even afford a house. The average house here sells for $230K. You can't even buy a one bdrm shack for less than $190K in my state. I disagree on this one, being how I'm in the market for a house, right now.

Military: The military is better equiped and trained than it has been at any time in history.

First, that has absolutely nothing to do with Bush. Second, how do you really know how well trained they are until there's a war? This is more BS, IMO.

Kerry says "No draft", but then he says he is going to add 2 entire divisions to the Army. Where are those troops going to come from? Are you telling me they are turning volunteers down now left and right that Kerry would suddenly accept? I doubt it. Either he will need to start taking drunks off the street into the Army or he will need to start a draft. Most of the weapons that were used to win both the Afghan and Iraqi wars were weapons that wouldn't even exist if Kerry had won his many Kerry/Clinton military cutting votes.

Again, more speculation. Not even worth responding to this one.

Freedom of religion: It is still legal to worship as we each see fit in our country. That freedom would likely evaporate in a Kerry country. Just like in Canada where the Bible is soon to be declared hate literature and outlawed. Bush would not allow that type of Godless hate to permiate our society as quickly.

That would be a good thing, IMO. Religious hypocrites are the main reason this country is so fuctup. Bush is a psychopathic moron who thinks god wants him to be president.
You people don't want the right to practice your religion. You want the right to practice it wherever you want, no matter how inappropriate and in the presence of people who may not share your beliefs. That's arrogant and wrong. You can practice your religion with like minded people, in your home or church. Anywhere else is violating my right not to have to see BS I don't believe in.

where we morally are in our current society hasn't recovered as far back up as I'd like, Bush in only 4 years has at least stopped the moral death spiral that Clinton got us into. In 4 more years, hopefully he can get us climbing out of that Clinton quagmire. Kerry would just tip the moral nose of our country back down into the mud.

You're 100% idiot. Sorry, there's no other way to put it.

I really don't care much about the economy, terrorism, foriegn policy, or most of the other issues when compared to the president's moral convictions.

This explains alot.
You're a selfish fool who doesn't care about issues that are most important, as long as you can pray wherever you want, eh?

They are indeed his main following. The southern states are full of them. They'll follow anyone who claims to "know god", even if they are murderous bastards. On the way to work this morning, I saw a bunch of older people standing on a corner protesting the war. It looked rather bizarre, since that's not a common site anywhere around here. You might expect it downtown, but not just any old place. It made me happy to see that people feel as strongly about this as I do. Bush is out of there, IMO. He doesn't have a chance.

He doesn't stand a chance in the popular vote, but that doesn't seen to matter where he is concerned...
I just have a bad feeling he'll be back and this time he will do some REAL damage like ending the world...

Yes, there is the chance that this electronic voting is nothing but a sham. Many problems have been pointed out, but don't appear to be a concern, for some odd reason. There's also no paper trail, so verifying results will be impossible. I am very suspicious of a fixed election, especially after the embarrassment the last one turned out to be. They should've thrown the entire election out and started over, IMO.

Most of the people your referring to don't have progressive brains. In fact, I don't even think they're human. They're some kind of sub-human species that emulate humans, I think. One only needs to watch the audience of a presidential rally to see this is action....a bunch of people, completely out of touch with reality, clapping and yelling their fool heads off for a lying bastard....it's sad, scary, and hilarious at the same time.

Yeah...DAMNED I love you

I'm really sad for americans...their country will fall appart because of a stoopid jerk who thinks he can control the world and make americans beleive all the crap he says...why can't THEY LEY GO.....beautiful, powerful american days are OVER!!!!

Aaaawwww! Thanks, you're a sweetie.
Can I come live with you?
I'm seriously considering moving to Canada, or maybe Australia. Canada would be alot closer, though. I don't seem to have much in common with most Americans anymore. I hope this changes before the whole $hithouse goes up in flames.

In canada, we are low profile. We don't give a damn about politics, we KNOW politicians are bastards, but at least they don't destroy the planet for gas and money....
Every country now wonder what will happen with the states...end of a big empire or the begining of the great chaos???? No matter bush or kerry voters, the will elect the one they want!!!! like in 2000....

Yeah, I'm amazed that Canada is so much different than the US. It's obviously not just the politicians, but the people. I think Americans are just poorly informed, and they've forgotten the value of history's lessons. I struggle daily with the frustration that people here really just have no idea what's going on. They sit in their houses, watch their TV's, and go to work. Other than some uneducational recreational activities, that's about all there is to their lives. A majority of them haven't even figured out how to use a search engine yet, so the WWW isn't of much help. It is sad. Why can so few see the wool pulled over America's eyes? Granted, the awareness is growing, but the majority still seem to be blind or in denial, or something. I used to think younger kids were intelligent enough to see through it, and maybe they'd save the US one day, but now I'm not so sure. I've seen plenty who seem to be brainwashed, too. Something really bad is going to have to happen before America wakes up. I fear that even a nuclear strike on a major city would only put them into more of a confused denial.

to above:
Government likes when people arent interested about worldwide knowledge. I think Americas way of media is the key to the controlling of masses. People are obsessed by tv
..Its just a theory thought.
I never watch tv unless there comes some kind of documentary. Discovery channel rocks
..
Maybe people are just so naive that they believe everything what tv says. I have watched some bbc world news and some other channels coming from usa and have to say that even some program try to represent and "neutral view of point" its still modified to give support to main topics that government likes.
Example iraq war is allways cutted to show only cream of cake, no burned children, no us soldiers taking hit etc.
Michael Moores programs are near truth programs as i see the case. But he is labeled a traitor. Well he uses same weapons as the other side and likes to make things seem larger than they are but the main point he is trying to tell is very good.
I think that one month without telly would make miracles in usa.
ps. Sorry that this went a bit off topic but it relates to the main idea why people seem to be on a good cause with false reasons.

I'm having a problem figuring out how this same worn out question is going to be asked on the next stale thread. I know! Let's do the next stale thread like Jeopardy! The title of the thread will be, "This tired topic was given another thread instead of the initial comment being added to the dozens' otehr like threads because of no good reason."
