1. Charlie Fuqua
Death Penalty For Rebellious Children? Arkansas Republican Charlie Fuqua Endorses It

Charlie Fuqua, a Republican candidate for the state House in Arkansas, who faced harsh criticism last week for calling for the expulsion of Muslims from the U.S., is back under the microscope for appearing to support the death penalty for “rebellious children.”
Fuqua’s call for disrespectful children to be “permanently removed from society” in his 2012 book “God’s Law: The Only Political Solution.” It is the same book in which the would-be lawmaker promoted that Muslims be removed from America in order to solve the nation’s “Muslim problem.”

2. Iowa GOP Congressman Steve King Defends Dogfighting
Steve Kings Dogfighting Defense - Colbert Nation
"There is no federal lawmaker who has worked harder to thwart the enactment of anti-dogfighting legislation than Steve King"

King is leading the effort in Congress to give dogfighters and cockfighters a free pass, and to keep the penalties weak for criminal animal fighting.

3. Todd Akin- Republican candidate for the Missouri Senate -"Legitimate Rape" Comment Was Not a Misstatement. It Was a Worldview. Full Interview with Todd Akin

“It seems to me, from what I understand from doctors, that’s really rare,” Mr. Akin said of pregnancies from rape. “If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

4-14. Eleven Republican Congressmen from Ohio agree with Todd Akin: some rape isn’t really rape

And those members are: Steve Austria, Steve Chabot, Bob Gibbs, Jim Jordan, Steve Latourette, Bob Latta, Jean Schmidt, Mike Turner, Pat Tiberi, Steve Stivers and Bill Johnson.

Steve King backs Akin: Says he's never 'heard of' child pregnancies from rape, incest

King told an Iowa reporter he’s never heard of a child getting pregnant from statutory rape or incest. “I just haven’t heard of that being a circumstance that’s been brought to me in any personal way,” King told KMEG-TV, “and I’d be open to discussion about that subject matter.”

15. US Republican Congressman Paul Broun calls Evolution: a lie 'from the pit of Hell See video below, kindly contributed by MrXYZ (thanks!) or here's a link www.youtube.com...

Evolution, embryology and the Big Bang theory are major underpinnings of mainstream science. And Georgia Republican Rep. Paul Broun, a physician who sits on the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, says they are “lies straight from the pit of hell.”

“God’s word is true. I’ve come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution, embryology, Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. It’s lies to try to keep me and all the folks who are taught that from understanding that they need a savior. There’s a lot of scientific data that I found out as a scientist that actually show that this is really a young Earth. I believe that the Earth is about 9,000 years old. I believe that it was created in six days as we know them. That’s what the Bible says. And what I’ve come to learn is that it’s the manufacturer’s handbook, is what I call it. It teaches us how to run our lives individually. How to run our families, how to run our churches. But it teaches us how to run all our public policy and everything in society." ~ Paul Broun

Bill Nye: Paul Broun 'Unqualified To Make Decisions About Science, Space, And Technology'

16. Jack Kingston (R-GA) repeatedly denies evolution on Real Time with Bill Mahar

Rep. Jack Kingston repeatedly denies evolution in front of Bill Maher’s live television audience:

17. Mike Huckabee Denies Evolution

18. Allen West says 80 Communists are in the US House of Representatives

West then said that “he’s heard” up to 80 members of the U.S. House of Representatives are Communist Party members, but declined to give the names of any of the alleged members, according to the Post. CBSMiami reached out to Co-Chairman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, Representative Raul Grijalva for their comments on the issue. “Allen West is denigrating the millions of Americans who voted to elect Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) members, and he is ignoring the oath they took to protect and defend the U.S. Constitution—just like he did.

19. Watch Paul Ryan Debate Himself on the Value of Stimulus Spending

Watch Paul Ryan strongly support federal stimulus spending before he adamantly opposes it.

20. Mitt Romney debates himself

The real Mitt Romney debates fake Mitt Romney.

For the first time in my life I intend to show up at the polling station without a photo ID, walk into the voting booth and, with one press of a button, vote Democrat across the board. A referendum, in deed!

I don't like it, but it has to be done.

Many would claim that there are about 160 million crazies in the GOP. Many would claim that there are about 160 million crazies in the Democratic party.

Looking at our elected American politicians as a whole, I'd say we've got about 320 million crazies on our hands.

Allen West has a point:

The Congressional Progressive Caucus, or CPC, which boasts more than 80 members, was founded by the Democratic Socialists of America, or DSA.

In the January/February 1998 issue of Chicago DSA’s New Ground, Ron Baiman identified Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts as leaders of the Progressive Caucus in Congress which DSA “helped to organize.”

Until November 2002, the website of the Progressive Caucus was hosted by the DSA. Following news reports that drew attention to the congressional website being hosted by the socialist organization, the list of CPC names was moved to the website of Sen. Bernard Sanders, I-Vt., an avowed socialist, and eventually to its own site.

While the DSA tries to paint distinctions between its brand of socialism and communism, before scrubbing its website, the site included a song list that included:

“The Internationale,” the worldwide anthem of Communism and socialism.

“Red Revolution” sung to the tune of “Red Robin,” with these lyrics: “When the Red Revolution brings its solution along, along, there’ll be no more lootin’ when we start shootin’ that Wall Street throng. …”

“Are You Sleeping, Bourgeoisie?” Lyrics included: “Are you sleeping? Are you sleeping? Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie. And when the revolution comes, We’ll kill you all with knives and guns, Bourgeoisie, Bourgeoisie.”

The Communist Party responds

Communist Party USA does describe the Progressive Caucus as "our allies" on its website, and we found several other positive mentions of the Progressive Caucus on the site as well. But it also dishes out some criticism of Democrats in general as being "accommodationist

Those members of congress may not exactly be card carrying members of the ACP, but certainly fellow travellers and big fans of Marxist/Leninist thoughts. Communist Party USA has 5,000 active members, but I would suggest that there are a heck of a lot more communists (small "c") out there.

Nothing that can compare to this level of incompetency and deceit.
Just unfit to do their jobs and quite dangerous to boot. Nothing that has such a direct and devastating impact on us all. I wouldn't call someone guilty of a crime or even a poor choice or a mistake, hell someone caught having sex is not such an immediate and critical danger to the rest of us as these "job creator" supporters are. They don't mean small business. Job Creators is just a euphemism for....THE RICH. You get that don't you? You are not going to get a job, you are going to get a pay cut.

Beware the deceivers.

That should ring a bell to folks on ATS, and in the case of this party... a 13 state alarm. I am only half kidding.
Years from now, (maybe only 4) when we find how how DIABOLICALLY INSANE this party really was, others are going to say ...

REALLY? WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST CLUE?????

Granted there are crazies in the GOP.
And of course, plenty in the Democrat party.

But I think what happens in many instances
is more of the lock step thing that Republicans do.
So even if they don't really believe Obama
eats only Christian Kittens, for example,
they'll say it's true in public, if it furthers the GOP's interests .
That lockstep phenomena is somewhat unique to the GOP.

S and F NewCovenant,
Your Romney debating himself is priceless
and so important for learning bait and switch techniques.

We started to address that issue in the 2010 midterms and have unfinished business to attend to in November.

To the OP
It's fun to label crazies on both sides of the aisle... all the more reason to get serious about strict term limits in The House and Senate. All of that power rots the brain equally... just look at the crap that oozes out of Pelosi's mouth and Barney Franks rear end... Detached and completely out of touch with reality and the average constituent.

You raise another issue altogether. Let's require all of the candidates to raise the same amount of money prior to an official campaign start date. Then let them spend it in the best way possible. Let strategy take the lead over pure dollars and the notion of throwing it all against the wall to see what sticks.

This is far from fun. This is FRIGHT NIGHT. Pelosi and Frank have made some poor choices, granted but if I were on a deserted island I'd choose Pelosi and Frank over these folks who seem to have a hinge permanently unscrewed.

Barney Frank? The guy who had a prostitution ring, "no problem with Fanny or Freddie," contributions from Frannie and Freddie, opposition to housing reform, kickbacks to Reams, Barny Frank? Trustworthy? You have got to be kidding.

Look up who killed Dodd-Frank and made it ineffective...allowing those big investment banks to screw us all over again in the future

And your prostitution ring comment is ridiculous as that would be illegal...and he hasn't done anything illegal. He hired a male escort which developed into a relationship with that single dude. He paid his bills with PERSONAL funds until he found out that guy was A) cheating and B) still working as an escort on the side. When he found out he kicked him out of the house.

Guess how often that happens to guys dating escorts

How about do some research into the topic before you castigate someone. In 2008, during an investigation about mortgage reform, he testified that nothing was wrong with Fanny and Freddy. That is a fact.

Congressman Barney Frank has served on the House Banking Committee since becoming a congressman in 1981 and became the ranking Democrat on the committee in 2003. He became chairman of the committee, now called the House Financial Services Committee, in 2007. The committee is the primary House body which along with the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (OFHEO) has jurisdiction over the government-sponsored enterprises such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Congressman Frank received more than $40,000 in campaign donations from Fannie between 1989 and 2008. According to OpenSecrets.com, this places Congressman Frank at 16th on the list of those receiving funds and 5th in the House. Political action committees financed by both Freddie and Fannie have contributed $3,017,797 to members of Congress since 1989. And according to the July 16 issue of Politico, the two entities have spent a whopping $200 million to buy influence – including not only campaign donations to members of Congress, but also presidential campaigns and lobbying efforts.

Statements Opposing Regulation(Text taken directly from NYT)

On September 10, 2003, the Bush administration recommended regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry. The overhaul was to create a new agency within the Treasury Department to assume supervision of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The administration's proposal, which was endorsed in large part today by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, would not repeal the significant government subsidies granted to the two companies. And it does not alter the implicit guarantee that Washington will bail the companies out if they run into financial difficulty; that perception enables them to issue debt at significantly lower rates than their competitors. Nor would it remove the companies' exemptions from taxes and antifraud provisions of federal securities laws.

After the hearing, Representative Michael G. Oxley, chairman of the Financial Services Committee, and Senator Richard Shelby, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, announced their intention to draft legislation based on the administration's proposal. Industry executives said Congress could complete action on legislation before leaving for recess in the fall.

''The current regulator does not have the tools, or the mandate, to adequately regulate these enterprises,'' Mr. Oxley said at the hearing. ''We have seen in recent months that mismanagement and questionable accounting practices went largely unnoticed by the Office of Federal ousing Enterprise Oversight,'' the independent agency that now regulates the companies.

''These irregularities, which have been going on for several years, should have been detected earlier by the regulator,'' he added.

Among the groups denouncing the proposal were the National Association of Home Builders and Congressional Democrats who fear that tighter regulation of the companies could sharply reduce their commitment to financing low-income and affordable housing.

Representative Barney Frank, currently the senior Democrat in the House Financial Services Committee, stated the following in response to the new proposal:

When Treasury Secretary John Snow tried to push for the regulatory body, congressman Frank responded

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not in a crisis...the more people in my judgement that exaggerate the threat of safety and soundness, the more people conjure up the possibility of serious financial losses to the treasury which I do not see...I think we see entities which are fundamentally sound...the more pressure that is there, the less I think we see in affordable housing

"Dating" an escort and giving him money for his "time" is illegal.

Summary of EventsIn September of 1989, the House Ethics Committee agreed to investigate Congressman Barney Frank concerning his relationship with a male prostitute. The investigation was apparently in response to a request made by Congressman Frank himself.

On April 1, 1985 Steve Gobie met Congressman Barney Frank after Congressman Frank answered a classified ad in the Washington Blade which read as follows:

Exceptionally good-looking, personable, muscular athlete is available. Hot bottom plus large endowment equals a good time.
The facts surrounding the next 18 months are listed here:

•In their initial encounter, Congressman Frank paid Mr. Gobie (then 28) $80 dollars for sex
•Steve Gobie had felony convictions for possession of coc aine, oral sodomy and production of obscene items involving a juvenile
•Congressman Frank assisted Mr. Gobie by paying his attorney and court-ordered psychiatrist stemming from his previous convictions
•Congressman Frank hired Gobie as his personal aide, housekeeper, and driver
•Congressman Frank paid Mr. Gobie $20,000 from his personal funds without withholding and taxes
•Congressman Frank used his office to dismiss 33 parking tickets that Mr. Gobie had acquired
•Congressman Frank wrote a letter on congressional letterhead attempting to alleviate Mr. Gobie's probation to allow him to leave the state as his personal aide, and stating that he was indeed employing Mr Gobie (a condition of his probation)
•Steve Gobie ran a prostitution ring out of Congressman Frank's apartment and when the landlord brought it to the Representative's attention in 1987, Congressman Frank ended his relationship with Mr. Gobie
•Congressman Frank publicly stated at this time that he was gay; in part to prevent possible blackmail from Mr. Gobie (according to Congressman Frank)
•Mr. Gobie sought to sell his story in 1989 and this prompted Congressman Frank to ask for the investigation into his relationship with Mr. Gobie both to prove that he had no involvement in the prostitution ring, and to remove the incentive for Mr. Gobie to sell his story.

Mr. Gobie has consistently maintained that Congressman Frank was aware of his prostitution activities within Congressman Frank's house, and that the aide position was a cover for probation purposes. He has stated that Congressman Frank would sometimes call before heading home to ensure that nothing illicit was taking place prior to returning home.

He knew exactly what I was doing. It was pretty obvious. If he had to come home early [from work], he would call home to be sure the coast was clear . . . . He was living vicariously through me. He said it was kind of a thrill, and if he had been 20 years younger he might be doing the same thing."

Congressional ResponseAfter a 10 month investigation, the committee found the following (as reported by the Boston Globe) (Note that the misleading memo was the one written to the probation board claiming that Mr. Gobie was working for Congressman Frank and may need to leave the state as a requirement of that job.:

that Frank had violated House rules by writing a misleading memo that was used in an effort to end prostitute Stephen Gobie's probation on felony charges and by allowing his House privileges to be used to waive 33 parking tickets that Gobie might have received while driving Frank's car.
The recommendation was that Congressman Frank be reprimanded for his actions. The house voted to do just that on July 26, 1990, stating that Congressman Frank for reflecting "discredit upon the House."

The reaction from other Congressional members was mixed with most Democrats still supporting Congressman Frank and most Republicans calling for him to resign. Congressman Thomas Foglietta (D-PA) believed that Congressman Frank had simply been duped and stated:

Barney Frank is accused of being stupid and, my friend, if being stupid were grounds for expulsion, there'd be very few of us left here.

You might want to do some research before knee jerk defense of dishonest and corrupt politicians. You sound like a democratic shill otherwise.

Yes...Barney frank is gay...not sure what the story is there? That he once paid a gay prostitute?

See the difference is that Barney Frank came out, and he himself called for an investigation into his involvement with the gay prosititute...so that the truth was out there.

Larry Kraig....refuses to to admit being gay, while screaming about the dignity of marriage, bashing gay people and seeking BJs from cops in airport Bathrooms.....

Still can't tell the difference?
