What a terrible assignment. So your professor wanted you to go on a site and troll it for responses? Fine. I don't buy it, but okay, have at it.

He did not want me to go on a website and troll. He wanted me to interview numerous people about what their perceptions of good and evil are. I presented him with the idea of creating a thread that would draw different emotions from different people and would bring out either really nice people, or really mean people. He agreed that I could do it, so I did.

The TL/DR version of Op's post/thread:

"waaaah!! I want love!! waaah! pay attention to me!!! waaah!

you can't get love from hate. You may consider yourself happy, you can tell yourself you don't care what others think all you want..but if that were true, you wouldn't have made this thread.

And, if you're really this full of hate, sooner or later wifey will be #ing someone else(if she isn't already).

If you will take suggestions, my first one to you is to take the I Am off that statement. Do not affirm such a thing or you may become even more evil than you think you are. Second. George Soros is evil; you are just taking care of your family and mad at some social and political issues you see happening. Righteous indignation is allowable even in the bible.
Next, you might want to do some soul searching and root out the causes of your anger and see if you can find ways to love people again. The world is in a heap of trouble and it would be silly for anyone to think we should not be affected by it in some way, either that or we must be completely out of touch.
Next, think of some good attributes you may have ie hard worker pay attention to details, etc. Think of attributes you would like to embody and then say I AM (fill in the blank).

Positive affirmations have been the staple of getting your life on a better track. Check it out, maybe things will turn around for you

Every thought you think every word you say is an affirmation All of our self-talk or inner dialogue is a stream of affirmations. We are continually affirming subconsciously with our words and thoughts and this flow of affirmations is creating our life experience in every moment. Our beliefs are just learned thought patterns that we have developed since childhood, many of these work well for us, but others may now be working against us, they are dysfunctional and may be sabotaging us from achieving what we believe we want. Every affirmation we think or say is a reflection of our inner truth or beliefs. It is important to realize that many of these "inner truths" may not actually be true for us now or may be based on invalid or inappropriate impressions we constructed as children, which if examined as an adult can be exposed as inappropriate.

Check out what God tells Isaiah

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me

Isaiah 45:11
King James

You must be careful though because once you realize the power of the command, you must respect it and other people or you will make HUGE karma.
Do only for the benefit of others and under the aegis of your Higher Self. ONce you begin to see yourself and others as part of God or Higher Being, then your perspective will change.
There is a reason why I have forgiveness as my signature.

You do not know how to read an entire thread before commenting.

Apparently I do not either! But my post stands and can bring you good results nevertheless.

I have to admit I kind of went on a roller coaster of emotions, from feeling sorry for you to wanting to jerk you bald headed.
Very creative in your approach to gathering data.

It's pretty stupid the amount of hatred you have received. In reality, everyone should have felt like you. Or at least acknowledge the feeling of evil in themselves, however it comes along.

Dont forget though, and I only speak from experience (I have studied extensively, what is evil? and I keep coming back to the fact it is an ideology created and manifested purely from a clouded judo-christian society), but every single action has an equal and opposite reaction. You might claim your action is such a reaction to some 'evil', which is cool, but as soon as it's your initiative so to speak, be prepared. You never escape consequences.

Ignore the hateful comments. Try to take on board helpful ones.

You never stop learning, no matter how down pat you think you have it. You just never stop learning.....

You make a good point about the root of evil in people, which may be advanced in some or not so much in others.

"The Dweller on the Threshold is oft regarded as a disaster, as a horror to be avoided, and as a final and culminating evil. I would here remind you, nevertheless, that the Dweller is 'one who stands before the gate of God', who dwells in the shadow of the portal of initiation, and who faces the Angel of the Presence open-eyed, as the ancient Scriptures call it. The Dweller can be defined as the sum total of the forces of the lower nature, as expressed in the personality, prior to illumination, to inspiration, and to initiation. The personality per se, is, at this stage, exceedingly potent, and the Dweller embodies all the psychic and mental forces which, down the ages, have been unfolded in man, and nurtured with care. It can be looked upon as the potency of the threefold material form, prior to its conscious co-operation and dedication to the life of the soul, and to the service of the Hierarchy, of God, and of Humanity.

"Memory . . . is not simply just a faculty of the mind, as is so often supposed, but it is essentially a creative power. It is basically an aspect of thought, and - -coupled with imagination -- is a creative agent, because thoughts are things, as well you know. From ancient recesses of the memory, from a deeply rooted past, which is definitely recalled, and from the racial and individual subconscious (or founded and established thought reservoirs and desires, inherited and inherent) there emerges from the individual past lives and experience, that which is the sum total of all instinctual tendencies, of all inherited glamours, and of all phases of wrong mental attitudes; to these, (as they constitute a blended whole) we give the name of the Dweller on the Threshold. This Dweller is the sum total of all the personality characteristics which have remained unconquered and unsubdued, and which must be finally overcome before initiation can be taken (Discipleship in the New Age, Vol. II, p. 207/8)

And I think this answers to the OP's own opinion that evil can be defined differently by people.

That one comment alone enabled me to provide a counter argument to my original thesis which makes my work a lot easier.

Some view pain, suffering, anguish as evil.

But how would we know the joys of good, love, etc without them being relative to the bad.

So I think our whole concept of evil is skewed.

(Kinda like how a poor man would be happy with a cheap new matress, while a rich person would see it as a downgrade. Who is more lucky, the man who is easyer to make happy? Or the man who it gets harder and harder to find more positive things)

You are not evil , you are egocentric .Evil is when you are feeling good deep inside you while watching or making actions on other people suffering (injuries , deaths, emotional breakdowns) and i mean all people (your wife, your brother ,sister...) . That is pure evil.

Good for you for being comfortable with who you are, even knowing that others may not agree with the way you choose to be.

I've seen a lot of morons on here criticizing you.
It's funny how everyone is an expert in psychology when they read your post, when in fact, they are most likely not. They speak of narcissism while pretending to know something about you in hopes to appear intelligent in order to inflate their own egos at your expense, when all you have done is make an honest statement about who you are.

I notice that people often times choose to make remarks against people like you. My guess is that they are aware that most people are not like you (evil) and as such, make the remarks knowing that most people will be on their side (give them stars).

Alas, I am not a psychologist, and know none of these people on here, so I cannot say that my assessment is correct.

However, most people posting with negative, moronic "you're sad", "you're angry at yourself", "you're narcissistic." are in fact narcissistic hypocrits themselves.

Cheers.

I think what this post proves is that you have to LIE to others to get what you want. (in this case, a good grade).

All that hate and anger just poisons your soul, better to just let it go. You don't have to end up in "hell", infact you can change. You can't truly learn how to love as long as you cannot forgive and stop hating and holding grudges. Ain't worth it in the long run, better to just let it go.

You just reminded me. I'm trying to start a group for people who hate people. Trouble is getting them all in the same room together.
Seriously though, you need to look inwards before you start judging everyone based on the most asinine of criteria. Mad because other people don't give a crap about you? Try treating them like people instead of just rungs in a ladder to your goals. We are not here to please you, and if you don't treat people with respect, how can you expect them to treat you with anything but disdain? I mean, come on man! You're in need of a serious reality check.
