Srsly!! People in my neighborhood actually pay guys to come to their properties and spray chemicals all over it, to kill dandelions and plantain (which they call 'weeds')!!! That stuff is food, a holes!

And medicine! Dandelion root is proven to kill cancer and plantain is the natural antidote to poison ivy -- works instanteously to stop the itching and inflammation, better than any commercial product -- at least I can't imagine paying more when plantain works so well.

That is actually wrong and part of the propaganda stunts of companies like Monsanto. You can grow everything organic in the world and still abundantly feed the entire population of the Earth. What isn't being done properly is distribution and allocation. Billions of tons of foods are being thrown away in certain countries whilst people starve in others.

The idea that using Monsanto chemicals increases food production has not been born out in actual fact. If you look at what has been happening on farms, organic crops do much better than poison treated crops. The problem is that it takes more work to produce organic crops, since someone needs to actually weed them. That means paying people to work, which large corporations would rather not do, because it impacts the bottom line.
