Though it would be nice for RP to be the VP of GJ (lotsa initials lol), GJ has my vote regardless...

I can wish but I seriously doubt it though. Would be nice to petition to be a part of debates but I don't see that happening either.

I've been following the rumor and I think there is a chance (a very long one) but either or I think people should start taking a look at a third party.

I will bet that the Obamoney camps will be tuned in... That includes Mrs. Obama who claims she did not watch any of the GOP...

What?

Both conventions are meaningless.

Time will tell.

The only issue I have with what you posted is this

For those who do not want to watch it, the guy in the video is the operator of Ron Paul Flix, who is claiming that according to Doug Wead, there is "zero chance of a third party run" in store for Ron Paul.

This is Leno, this is TV, this is entertainment. Let's use some common sense here.

#1. Anything they advertise is "big", that is how they draw viewers and increase ratings. "Big" announcements previously include, Roseanne Barr announcing a run for President (how well did that work out?) and some guy who announced that "Bachelor" was ripping off the "Real World" TV show and creating a new show called 'Bachelor Pad" (so as you can see "Big announcements" are not taken very seriously on Leno.

#2. This show is not done live. It is taped. If Ron Paul was announcing a third party run for President, do you really think we would not have heard about it already and had sources?

Raining...on....my....parade....

You make a very valid point, but until I see it, i'm still going to hold out for hope.

I've certainly seen stranger things go unsaid until "Just the right time"

The only thing I've heard about his Leno spot tonight was that he did not endorse Gary Johnson and said he was eyeing 2016, with a chuckle. I guess this is coming from someone at the taping. If it was something really big, I'm sure we would have heard something.

RP cannot become GJ's VP in most states for purely legal reasons. The states accept the President and VP candidates elected at the parties' respective conventions – not whoever the parties decide they want after the conventions. And, there are affidavits and nomination forms and lots of signatures and notary stamps, and all by certain deadlines, which are imminent. At this point RP simply cannot legally be the VP candidate in many if not most states.

I guess it is linking now.

I like how Leno asked him if he would have got to speak at the RNC if he had endorsed Romney, and he said he imagined so.

Yes, the link works now, just watched the two video clips, thanks.

It's disappointing, but apparently Ron Paul ruled out a 3rd party run and said he's going to rest up and try again in 2016. Bummer.

That's an old video. I'm watching right now, and Ron Paul is about to come on... It's 12:26am, so they are cutting his time rather short.

Here's Ron Paul on Leno tonight. I suppose the big announcement was him running again in 2016 as he declined the possibility of running as a 3rd party.

Just finished watching...

In my opinion, seems like another wasted opportunity. Plus why not at least give a nod towards Gary Johnson when asked who he might vote for? If he's not running as a third party, why not at least let the Nation (or in the very least Leno watchers) know there is another Candidate running with similar ideals? Why leave it up in the air, with the allure that he might vote for Obama or Romney (even though he probably won't)?

He answers no clue... Why not just mention Johnson?

Well that was disappointing.

As much as I love Ron Paul he has certainly left a lot to be desired. I agree, he should have at least mentioned Johnson. I truly do not believe that Dr Paul is a pawn in TPTB game, but unfortunately I do not believe he has the gusto to truly take them on. He has done so much for the 'Liberty movement', he is a hero that we have been lacking since the days of JFK, RFK, and MLK, but we need to get someone who has a little more bite to match his bark. He has inspired so many people and I believe that person or persons are out there who will challenge the establishment, I just wish we did not have to wait longer to have that person come forward. I do not believe we have much time left, if any at all, to right the ship.

2016? He was probably joking... but I don't think he will necessarily be going anywhere. His message is too important and he has been unwavering in his advancing of this knowledge. The two-party dictatorship is doomed. I do not know if that makes me happy or sad - both, I suppose - because these people will do anything, ANYTHING, to hang on to their power, and that scares the everliving daylights out of me.

Yes, he was joking when he said he was resting for 2016, he said just kidding right after that. The dude will be like 81, he's retiring.
