I may be free to take part in another debate soon, just as soon as I finish writing up a thread. So if someone wants to go at it, reply to this post or send a pm.

Second Post in Voynich Manuscript Debate has been posted.

Sublimecraft, you really did have your head on the chopping block, but that's not my style. (Not in our first debate, at least!
)

Back to you, my friend.

It has been fun, I'm a little bummed that it's beginning to wind down.

Right in the middle of writing my epic response to Heff's "Santa Claus" opening, but it's becoming a bit of a mess without his opening to counter (hint, hint, lol) so I might not get a reply to you up until tomorrow.

There's no time limit, so no worry.

It's actually nice to know there's no time constraint, and no hurry. That persuasion match was just to quick for me. I like the leisure of thinking about my response, re-reading my opponent several times during the day on my smartphone, finding that tender spot in their argument to exploit, and......

You know how that goes.

I always know I'll get a good debate out of you.

In your head.... In your head.... Zombie... Muwahahahahahaha.

( Actually I'm just getting started on the opening. Real life kept me busy with family, Holiday stuff today. In truth, after the last ten hours my "pro" Santa post may well come across seeming like I am arguing the con.

You wanna know why Santa has a slave force of elves? Because that is morally and emotionally more humane than if he did his shopping at Wal Mart.....)

You're in my head, indeed

Walmart plays no insignificant part of my pre-canned response, bear no illusion!

Your response has been read, but I've spotted a couple of......uhm, I'll save it for my closing.

Unlike you, I will however, wait until tomorrow eve. Your graph has my head spinning.

Probably wise, my post was against my better judgement... have you and Heff formed an alliance?

I'll propose a topic that popped into my head... I live just up the road from Best Buy, and received a package this afternoon from amazon.com.

Brick and Mortar... a dead retail option?

I would take "Pro", obviously.

Bah, Best Buy is a bad example. I worked for them, in management, for a few years in the nineties and, even then, they understood that their business model was not sound. It was built upon the notion of selling computer packages, TV's, and appliances - all at a ( sometimes ) large loss, in hopes of generating profit from the peripherals, cables, accessories, and media.

I'm amazed that they're still (barely) in business. Too bad too, because I used to spend a LOT of money at their now defunct "Media Play" subsidiary. God I miss that place...

I think what's happening is that people fall asleep about halfway through reading my post there, and when their head comes down and hits the keyboard, they strike the CNTL F4 key combination, which closes the thread window.
