For some reason this immediately brought to mind a snippet I saw on the MSM the other day saying how Americans are actually UNDER taxed compared to other countries... I want to say we were like 6th on the list... It was like they are trying to convince us that we should be paying way more since some nations are taxed at nearly 50%... My grandpa used to say you can't squeeze blood from a turnip... How much farther can they push us before we either break or start pushing back?

It's not fair to take and not give back, it's capitalism. Give nothing back, but give a little to a government that determines what to give back to the peons that's socialism. Have a government that rations out everything, making sure to give itself more, that's communism. Sharing with everyone? Well that... That's just humanism.

I give a 1 finger salute to this idea. If memory serves, they tried this proposal back in 03 on a global scale. You already have DC sending out money everywhere just to have a say in what these countries are doing.
""In a resolution, the Republican National Committee made clear its objection to “three global taxes and a global monetary governance mechanism to raise $400 billion a year to aid developing countries.""

Good luck with that UN. No matter your political persuasion, there's no way that one would fly. As it is, the UN gets taxpayer money via the dues the U.S. pays.
