Same reason some guys dress like Dbags, they are peacocking.
Are we speaking of girls or women, because if it is girls, that is a parenting problem.

I believe the question you should really be pondering is why you equate females with "whores" just because of the way they are dressed.

If I were in a police uniform, you'd most likely think me a cop, figure it out yet?

Um,lacking a mother and good role model?

Your kids can be exposed to all kinds of media, but the parents still can control all that.

They may hate you now,but will thank you later.

I never called that girl a whore. I think you are getting me confused with the OP.

People can dress however they like. If you don't want 40 year old dudes checking out your 14 year old daughter don't let her leave the house to walk the dog wearing heels. Wear the dress if its comfortable, if your wearing comfy clothes throw on your nikes to walk the dog. You can't have it both ways.

I...can't...tell if you people are joking or not. You actually think exposing parts of the body = being a whore? That's got to be one of the dumbest things I have ever read on ATS.

Also, pretend I've never seen a "whore" before. Please describe one to me.

Are you freakin' kidding me?! The problem is with the 40 year old, NOT the 14 year old.

EUREKA!!!
I FOUND IT!!!
Here is what I was looking to say, it is a Dave Chappell quote (with some snips due to ATS T&C).

The girl says "Oh uh-uh, wait a minute! Wait a minute! Just because I'm dressed this way does not make me a whore!" Which is true. Gentlemen, that is true. Just because they dress a certain way doesn't mean they are a certain way. Don't ever forget it. But ladies, you must understand that is "fracking" confusing. It just is. Now that would be like me, Dave Chappelle, the comedian, walking down the street in a cop uniform. Somebody might run up on me, saying, "Oh, thank God. Officer, help us! Come on. They're over here. Help us!" "Oh-hoh! Just because I'm dressed this way does not make me a police officer!" See what I mean? All right, ladies, fine. You are not a whore. But you are wearing a whore's uniform.

And there it is, thanks to Daves comedy gold!

You didn't read my post. I was driving and she was walking the dog on the sidewalk, when I passed her I looked over. I assumed she was at least in her 20's from the back.

I knew when I saw her face she was a young teenager. You're right tho, it's my fault. I should assume all women wearing dresses and heels are 14.

I DID read your post. You described a girl who was doing nothing overtly sexual. It doesn't matter what her age is. YOU decided to look. She could've been wearing a parka or a bikini. If you had sexual thoughts about her -- and again, she was merely walking her dog, not pole-dancing -- then that's YOUR problem not hers.

Well there you go!, sorry..but you just went against yourself there. What you just said is that she was merely walking the dog and no matter what she was wearing the sexual thoughts could only come from the mind of the man looking and checking her out, not her fault at all since it not like she was pole dancing...are you saying that a pole can actually CAUSE sexual thoughts and feelings on their own and therefore is NOT the fault of the observer?
So you are saying that certain accessories CAN CAUSE sexual feeling and thought...like the whores's uniform but only when paired with a pole?

No, you're right. I take it back. Pole-dancing, out of context, is a bad example and shouldn't in and of itself cause sexual feelings. Absolutely right.

So, getting back to the point, you were checking out a 14 year old who was just walking her dog. And because of that, she's a whore and you're a victim of circumstances.

Yikes.

And I meant "you" in the general sense. I believe it was Litterbaux who was leering at the 14 year old girl.

No he never called her a whore, he only said that going by how the girl was dressed he expected her to be much older but then turned out to be what appeared to be 14. Which is the whole point. I can see why you are wanting to protect the ability of women and men everywhere to dress as they see fit...but you cannot help the impression that is given by dressing a certain way. I was not attacking you, just pointing out the nit picky things that people can use to make a problem seem less than what it is. And don't pretend that you have no idea what a "whore's uniform" looks like...it goes along with the pole, just minus the pole.

Peace.

You my friend are a genius! I wish I thought to say that

After reading the whole thread, lots of good answers.

When I was 12/13/14, in the 80's, THIS is what looked good to me and therefore this is what I tried to emulate. I wasn't trying to impress anyone but myself.

oh who the hell am I kidding - that look still looks good to me and I am so glad I wore it when I still had the body for it!

No regrets here.

It is getting bad tho. The other day I was driving and saw a woman with long brown hair, a little red dress and heels walking a dog. As I passed her I couldn't help but look over, I'm a guy. She had to have been like 14 years old. Who in the world would let their 14 year old daughter leave the house like that? Where are the parents?

The implication is that, despite doing nothing sexual, her clothes were "bad" and that she shouldn't have left the house "like that." That the 14 year old tricked him into being interested in her body and, for that, she's at fault.

The fault (for lack of a better word) lies with him.
