You are speaking words of the Highest Hypocrisy. You are a North American with almost Unlimited Rights. What have you to say to the parents of the Iranian Youths who were SHOT AND BEATEN TO DEATH...all because they had the BALLS to protest because of a STOLEN ELECTION?

It's easy to make opinions about something you neither know about or have experienced when you are safe at home in Canada and have no fear of some Government Thugs busting down your door and beating and torturing you...all because you spoke out.

It kills me that people have a hatred for Jews that is so absolute they would claim love for a people that would cause them harm just to stick their thumb in the eye of a Jew.
Sometimes problems are so complicated you have to break them down into their lowest common denominator to arrive at the correct answer.
You either prefer the islamic way of life and would prefer everyone live by their rules, or you prefer the Jewish way of life and prefer everyone lives by their rules.
Personally I choose the side that girls go to the park with who ever they want, lets women choose how they dress, or do not dress. That lets people choose to live their lives as they see fit without threats of harm.

You get on here and say you know an Iranian and they are good people......did you get to know some Jewish people and they treated you like a dog or did you stop when you met an arab and just threw the Jew on the hate list?

We have this little thing here called the Constitution. Because I believe these words to be true I am obligated to consider any nation who would deny their people these basic liberties and would punish them should they choose to exercise them, my sworn enemy.
If I had my way, I would bomb Iran, call up their leaders and ask them if all men were created equal. If he said no they are not. I would bomb a little more then make another call to see if the answer has changed yet. When the answer changed to, ok ok everyone is equal and free to live their lives as they see fit, only then would I prepare for peace talks......then turn my attention to the next islamic country. It wouldn't take very long before the other countries put their citizens God given Rights above the words of moohamed

hmm..I'm not favoring any sides.. But what proof do we really have that Iran is actually not making nukes..
We the people simply don't have any proof or "Intelligence" on anything going on, What if Iran is really making nukes..What if they are simply making it "peaceful" but selling the Nuclear rods to "Terriost" countries.. They could be making these nukes underground or in a "secret" base.. Iran has said and done things that don't make them look to legit, I.e. Threaten to shoot "100,000" missles at Israel.. launch missles at "mimicked" American bases.. Which doesn't help them out, as they say they are a "peaceful" country.. Doing stuff like that gives the Americans leverage.

So, we simply don't really know much whats going on, We just "speculate and Assume"
But than you have to look at it, What evidence do we have of them trying to make nuclear weapons, And not being so peaceful.. Although they are enriching high % of Uranium which could be used for Weapons..But than again you would have to look at it at this angle also..If the US, or Israel or any other NATO country doing Intelligence on Iran, does have some Evidence and it does become public..Wouldn't Iran cover it up, move there stockpile somewhere else, they're so many things that could be done. As for the western "greed" card.....Why is the west (particularly the USA) always chastised for our supposed greed yet whenever there is a humanitarian crises anywhere in the world, it's always the USA and the west who contributes the most aid (by far)? Why don't you apologize for the greed of the Mullahs/Kings over in the Middle East? These people live in gold palaces and have grapes literally peeled for them and placed into their mouths while their people live with goats. Not only that, but without the western world, buying their stupid oil at their ridiculous prices they wouldn't even have the goat!

Now, having gotten that off my mind. I will say this. There was a recent PBS 2 hr. documentary where they went to Iran and spoke to the every day people of Iran. The people they interviewed were NORMAL, peaceful, pro-American and not hateful at all...I was very impressed.

The problem, I think is with the LEADERSHIP, not the people. It's a damn shame I tell you.
Maybe when the religious NUTS running these countries are gone we will see some real progress in the Middle East. Maybe woman will have some rights and maybe homosexuals will live without the fear of being executed for something they have no control over.

I have just come back from three weeks travelling through Iran, and had zero problems with the militia, or anything else for that matter. The Iranians were the most friendliest, intelligent and open-minded people I have ever met. The country is beautiful as well, modern and different to how the media portrays it. Most of the people I met there also don not like their government, but its thrown way out of context by western media.
I highly recommend visiting, and I myself will be returning to see parts of the country I missed. Just because two Americans got held for illegally crossing the border from Iraq doesn't mean everyone travelling in Iran runs into problems.

Nice posting ronnieray. I myself have read The Koran out of sheer curiosity and what you have said is 100% true and backed up in religious text. The "People of the Book" and other religious institutions are told to be disrespected in Muslim culture - yet we are supposed to respect them ourselves (after paying a tax of Jizya, etc.) People who deny these things or call you a bigot simply haven't researched The Koran or what Muslim culture is actually meaning to preach. They are what you describe as people who just "met the Muslim next door." Even that is a joke because The Koran tells you to lie to non-believers that you must be nice to - it tells you to be nice to them in person but "hate them in their hearts." Isn't that great, a religion that teaches you to lie?
