I could say exactly the same thing about your replies. You seldom reply with any facts or statements but generally reply with ridicule and innuendo. You attack sources and if you do not attack the source, you attack the OP. If you don't attack the OP then you ridicule the opinion.

I know there are things wrong with this country but I still would like to see it succeed as it did before you were born.

People were poor then but you could still leave your car unlocked and didn't have to worry about someone coming into your house and robbing you. The local business knew you by your first name. A person's word was as good as cash. People worked. People who did not work had a reason. It was shameful to be on welfare and people went without rather than go on the dole. People took whatever job they could find just to have work. Work was a sign of responsibility and personal satisfaction no matter how a person disliked their job. Now, work is seen a slavery for those who believe it is more fun to cheat the system. The opinion seems to be if one can't have the job they want, they would rather open the mailbox every month for their beer money or steal it.

Being arrested was not something someone wanted to happen. Now, it is a badge of honor. Having an illigitimate child was a disgrace, now it is acceptable to have a brood of illigitimate children and be on welfare for generations.

Yes, we did create that business ourself. We worked hard and paid the wages we could afford. We did not expect the government or our employer to take care of us. We were brought up to take responsiblity for our own lives. Now, people (at least 43% of them) expect cradle to grave care by the government.

I have lived a long time and seen most everything. I see corruption in the government. I see businesses take advantage of people. I see the government spending more than it should. I see people taking advantage of the system. I also see corruption in the families. I see families that spend more than they should. This is a society of instant gratification. If they don't have what it takes in their pocket, they want to put their hands in someone else's pocket. That is morally wrong and reprensible. To promote that tenet is also morally wrong and reprehensible.

We have a president who believes he should take from those who earn it and give it to those who don't. He was elected by people who hoped for change back to the days I spoke of. Now, he is going to be re-elected by those who want their hands in another's pocket. All of the things that are wrong with this country are going to get worse. This is the danger of the tyranny of democracy and not the workings of a Constitutional Republic.

You have to look at Obama's direction. It is to financially bankrupt this country and have the entire population dependent on government. That is how Rome fell. This is how America will fall. This is his plan and it appears the plan of those who support him.

I don't know why people want to see this country destroyed but they are doing it and doing it with enthusiasm. I don't know why they think they regime will remember them when control is complete. This isn't about the people. This is about the destructon of America by those who hate it, from the inside.

I am tired. I have to work tomorrow.

You can't be on welfare for generations. The most you can stay on it is 5 years...most states are like 2-3 years.

No they don't. Do you think most people actually want to be on welfare? It is not a glamorous life, you are living in poverty in usually some of the worst neighborhoods imaginable.

He supports giving tax cuts to corporations that outsource American jobs. How can people work if there aren't enough? People are going to go on foodstamps if they cannot afford food with their low paying service jobs.

By every possible metric, Obama has been a failure. He's a liar, a cheat and he's corrupt. He knows nothing about business or governing and lives by his teleprompter. I simply can't think of a more accurate description for somebody who still supports this buffoon we have in the White House. That being said, I think it's unbecoming for a local representative to take such an approach. I can see how how Obama hoodwinked the lefties in the last election but given his complete and utter failure, I can't think of any other way to describe somebody who still supports that criminal.

Your post is proof that you can find data on the internet to pretty much support any point you wish to make. It is also proof that some people believe the propaganda that is thrown at them. YOU get your facts from garbage published online and you eat it up, hook line and sinker. Us OLD people actually LIVED it and we have seen with our own eyes how things have changed, we don't need to find other peoples' flawed data to back us up.

Whether or not you wish to admit it, this country has sunk in many ways. Family values, standard of living, morals, education, economically, etc. Of course, your only frame of reference is what you are seeing now or have seen in the last 20 years or however old you are. My frame of reference is the change, for the worse, that I've seen before my eyes.

You know all I have caught is the headline so was the guy joking or running off at the mouth? If he was joking it was in poor taste. There is a reason I don't run for office and it is my inability to keep my mouth shut when my emotions are involved. I feel this is a disqualifying character. I see no reason I should accept that type of behavior from another. It is not dignified to the position. If you can't articulate your opinion in a civil manner you are unfit for public service.

But the real reason for my response is I think I get your core belief. I just wonder why you see the cause so differently? I too remember when. Back when the top tax rate was over 90%, back before "they" built the sea of housing developments. Back when you believed the company you worked for would be there for you as you were for them. look at it now. Did some socialist come and do this? Did some socialist come tell you that building endless housing complexes and putting a Walmart in was a strong economic plan?
