Love for Lisa, but none for hitandrun.
I smell bias.

I'm sure it's a good link, but quit whining; said I had to sign up for some bit torrent site. I'll decline thank you.

lisa2012's was straight up direct download clean files.

I miss things all the time on ATS. So I think you misinterpreted playful humor and a poke to get you to look at something I am certain would benefit you, with wanting attention. Not trying to get your goat, just your attention.
Didn't want you to miss out. Anyhow, tip of the hat to you Mr. Gut!

Its not exactly a top ten list, but I would recommend Jerome Clark's UFO Encyclopedia, combined with the collected works of John Keel and Jacque Vallee. The Trickster and the Paranormal is another must read as well.

If you have to have just one book on the subject - I don't know if Keel's Operation Trojan Horse can be beat. It knocks the ETH for a loop, covers the deception angle, and elaborates on the high strangeness that makes the subject so very interesting in the first place. I honestly want to grab a paper copy just to have it on hand -- and I don't say that of books that could otherwise be found online lightly.

FYI, for those who like to look-see before purchasing...I had look for some of the books using iBooks on the ipad, what I like about it is that you can get a decent size sample to read before buying the rest of the book.

This book I highly recommend. I read it twice it was so interesting. Almost every President going back to the 1950's has had some type of ufo related involvement of some type either from personal experience, in seeing a ufo, or by becoming aware of ufo information. There are many ufo incidents from the 1950's that are military ufo incidents, that I had never known prior which are very interesting. It is also mentioned that as far back as the 2950's the U.S. military believed we were being visited by about 2-6 "far advanced" et's civilizations from the Milky Way. I highly recommend this book.

I just nabbed today from my local library "Bill Birnes-UFO Hunters 2". Will have a review after I have finished it. I really liked #1, so am looking forward to this offering.

Not read that but seen it around.
I thought I'd already posted here but it must've been another thread.
At the moment I'm on Left at East Gate by Larry Warren and Peter Robbins about Rendlesham.
Alien Base by Tim Good was last.
Got at least a hundred UFO books and still collecting so i like these threads.
Next up is a Vallee one I just got called Revelations which is a coincidence because one of my favourites is UFO Revelation by Tim Matthews.
The revelation in that one is a whole load of stuff about things that might have been seen and mistaken for UFOs but where, in fact, something else. Its great and its good to know what's up there these days before you go all Giorgio on us and cry Aliens!!!
Cheers.

Wow, no one even mentioned Project Identification by Harley Rutledge? This man had hands-on experiences and interacted with UFO's under a scientific analysis. Dont get much better. Id say it should be close to number one on the list.

I'd love to get that book.
There's one on a famous auction site at the moment.
Its currently up to £104.21p.
Its the only reason I've not got it yet. I'm an avid collector and scour car boot sales and charity shops looking for good books.
Mostly UFO related but anything Fortean or weird and wonderful. Some books are quite common and easy to find but my budget won't stretch to the higher end of the market.
I'm looking for the Feindt book on USOs but that's not cheap either.

I'll get it one day dammit!!!

I have two copies and bought them about ten years ago from that online book place. They were less than $20 back them.

Annoying isn't it.
I've given books away which later turned out to be really valuable.
On the other hand, over the years, I have amassed a rather impressive weight of Foertean literature and the vast majority has been picked up for pennies. Books have trends, too, and something pricey today may turn up cheap tomorrow. Its not worth losing sleep over.
One thing I will say , though, is that no matter how many I seem to get, there is always just....one....more....
Gotta.....
Have....
...it........
..

I am currently reading Paspport to Magonia by Jacques Vallee what a beautiful and amazing book, I cannot stop reading it

It should be required reading, if you ask me.
Jacques Vallee is an excellent writer. I've got some nice hardback copies and I'm still looking out for more. Dimensions, Confrontations and Revelations are well worth reading after Magonia.

I loved those little paperbacks with all the brightly coloured hippy style artwork. Psychedelic, I think the word is. They always reminded me of the cover of Space Ritual by Hawkwind. A rather fitting soundtrack for the subject matter.
