This moment is the source of all that is. This moment is one, it is whole. There is no me that is separate from this.

I think God would be bigger than the Christians describe,and far more tolerant of his own handiworks short commings....
being as we are His products, all our faults are built in by Him.
Surely he knows what Hes created even before its reality.....
There are a few who say the whole shebang is just GODS DREAM of the universes course IF HE ACTUALLY DID CREATE IT>

We are not God, we will never become God, we probably will never see God. We can all fill our heads with different beliefs but at the end of the day if there is no superior entity then we can never achieve 'creator' status. We will never become the superior entity...

If you believe that Jesus died for our sins does that mean that we all go to 'Heaven'? Is there need to worship with this mentality?

Can someone explain how we are born with 'original' sin for actions we did not commit? I mean how is it that a day old baby is a sinner?

You are not born with original sin. The only sin (mistake) is believing that you can be separate from life because in reality you are life.
Humans believe they have a life that has to be held on to, they protect it and try to secure it and fight and defend. They carry 'their' life like baggage, it is heavy.
You 'are' life - eternal.

There is nowhere else but here, how you experience here is all down to what you believe. If you believe there is somewhere else better ie. heaven, then you will be looking somewhere else that does not exist in reality. If you believe that when you get home from work it will be better then you are believing in something that does not exist in reality.
Only the truth shall set you free. The truth is you are right here and right now and this is what is happening. If we stay where we are and experience what is here there is a union. The human mind is fragmented, it splits itself from here and projects itself into other times, past, future and other places. When the mind stops projecting, stops splitting and fragmenting - you will see and hear what is here the only place that exists in reality. The mind has to stop interpretting, only then will the eyes truely see and the ears truely hear.
If this is experienced you will know the heavenly state.

Though I appreciate your conviction, I’ll just carry on living like I am.

I mean, there’s some kind of creator out there, for sure, but I’m not going to try to label it, or give it some kind of crazy back story, or attach ridiculous morals and stigma’s to it just so I can go around thinking I’m giving my life some kind of ill advised meaning.

I’ll just let it be. Leave things as they are. It created the universe, and effectively gave me life. But I don’t owe whatever it is anything, and it doesn’t owe me anything. Quits.

And I’ll take solace in the fact it’s out there, and maybe one day I might even find out what it’s all about, but until then, I’ll just live life without having to worry about it, about owing it worship or attaching man made myths or morals to it just so I can feel better about myself. Because I imagine in the scheme of things, we’re all pretty unimportant.

(And to be honest, anything that created a race of beings just so they can be worshipped doesn’t just sound wrong to me, but pretty egotistical.)

God IS LOVE. ( notice the period after love)

For me..... There is nothing after the period. He just is.... Love.

So.... Do we all know love? Have we seen love in action?

Whats Love?

Love is.... A feeling ( notice FEELING) of strong personal attachment and compassion. So... he is an emotion or a feeling?

Whats an emotion?

Emotion is the driving force behind motivation( he is a driving FORCE.... LIGHT maybe.. Its both positive AND negative.

He is a driving force that has no boundaries in the human?

Maybe, Love is something we all feel all the time and it drives us emotionally wild with ups and downs because the feeling is soooo strong.

The scientist in me says.... Its.... All in the brain/ mind. This is what we take home when our days are over here on earth.

Your mind is where memories are stored and kept throughout eternity perhaps.

When we go back " home" these memories REFLECT ( like a mirror) all emotions both given and received and they are shown to us as we are now outside of time/ frame/ reference to be able to see with an all seeing eye as we are no longer reflected in an image.... We are now the real deal with emotions left over from this world.

Does the emotions weigh out and balance? Do they have to? What do we do with the emotions that are not pure love? I say.... We dump them like a bad download and or virus. Thats when we souls really become free!

With the love given to others in this world, was it enough to show your brother the light from which God shined day in and day out? Did your brother feel love from you because if he did.... He was shown God each and every time. He didnt see it as God, but he FELT him!

Does God show love every single day of every single hour by holding this Planet in balance? Do we take for granted the very air that we breathe and demand more? Do we demand more money, better job, better car, healing of health? Whats been given already has been given out of love. How many years has the earth sustained life of a human? We should be bombarded by debris all the time because space is not empty! Lol its chaotic out there! Space has dark matter we cannot see nor can we understand it... Yet. Does he protect us? Is love protective and personal? I think so! I also think He can only allow himself to do so much. Maybe... This existence is our own personal journey whereas we are given choices. Each choice brings about an effect. The effect is not only reflected back at one...But ALL! That means... What you do.... Has an effect on all of us! Whoa! What if im right? What would that mean to the billions of people who reside with me on this planet?

We never had to come to this planet and inhabit it..... It was freely given to us. How hard do you think it was for our creator to allow us to come here and harbor such an existence? To feel more than just love.... To hurt... Hurts him. We feel all of creation in an instant. We are separated from this love therefore beings look outward all their lives in search for the complete love from God! We can never feel that kind of love here on Earth. We are all constantly searching for that which completes us. We will never have that on Earth. We will have love. The love that is jealous. The love that judges. The love that does not even come close to the love of God. It can only reflect the pure love when in light because the world here is dark. Its so dark we need the reflection of light to see and feel warm. Which brings my thoughts to..

Gods love? Its bright, warm, enveloping, healing, and mostly its indescribable to a human because we long for that kind of love yet never come close to the feeling while on the Planet.

In gods image we show him what love ( he) can do in an environment with free will and with free will and no boundaries with which love sustains.. The emotion becomes warped at times. It becomes very emotional and imbalanced IF not kept in check.

Because we are that reflection of love... As a father.... He wants what any father would want who is nothing but pure Love. He wants the best for us, he has compassion, he does not judge..... Only he may be so compassionate that he has given us a will to leave if it becomes too much down here. Stress does what? People say stress is a killer. Maybe.... Just maybe... It brings the soul back home where the soul can now have peace. Makes me think of that saying, " god never puts on us more than we can handle". Well.... If ya cant handle it.... You transform. And go home. Its a win win. For the ones left behind its sadness because the Love is personal... Its attached to the soul who has left. For this reason Love is connected to all living things... Even back home where the true living reside.

We see him .... An image of him all the time. Day in and day out we see Gods reflection in ever single living thing!

We want more and will have more when we go Home.

Come on religious people - love is not some magical ability created by some fear mongering god ! Love is a ability to show kindness, passion or give something without expecting anything in return.

if one thinks that you HAVE to believe in a higher being in order to do something like that, then I would say it is you who lacks the ability of love.

I allays thought it was funny, that believers says atheist cant do love, because they don't believe in a afterlife or judgment, when its really religious people who give out false love. Because they expect something great because of their actions in their life when they have left this realm, not just because they want to be kind hearted.

I know it is not all religious who fit in my above text, and thank "god" for that, but I seen many that do....

I'll tell you a story. One church sent some missionaries into the Amazon jungle in South America a husband and wife team. They came to a tribe who had never heard of Jesus. The local witchdoctor was afraid of them so he told the villagers they came to kill their children. The villagers put them in a hut and gathered their warriors to attack, spears raised and ready to assault the hut after the war ritual had been completed. The couple prayed all night and just before dawn broke the tribe decided to make their move. Before they could get inside the hut they all stop yelling and their battle cries and grew quiet. The couple went outside to look around and the warriors dropped their weapons and hit their knees and surrendered. When they asked the chief what happened he told them just before they were going to kill them 12 giant men with flaming swords told them if they tried to kill them they would kill every warrior holding a weapon. These tribal people had never seen angels before and it scared the crap out of them. After that night they wanted to know who sent the protectors because they were amazed at the sight of them just appearing out of nowhere.

It is more the labels that many have problems with, take out God, religion etc.... and just call it spirituality which leaves it open to interpretation rather than a specific label. this makes more sense seeing how it is all up to interpretation anyways in our own mind. Being spiritual does not require belief in a specific nor does it take away from specific beliefs one might have.

I have only one thing I want to say to this. Your beliefs can and will interfere with your spirituality if your beliefs lead you to the wrong practices. Other than that, I agree with your post more than anything else on this thread. Star for you, sir.
