The Indian Embassy in Washington said that it was "seized of the situation and has been in touch with the National Security Council in Washington, D.C." While the Indian Consulate-General in Chicago too has been in "close touch with the local authorities to monitor the situation," the embassy also noted that an official has been deputed to visit the site "to ascertain the situation on-the-spot."

On Twitter the Indian Ambassador Nirupama Rao noted that U.S. Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman “just telephoned me to express heartfelt condolences on the dastardly and horrible Oak Creek killings.” Ms. Rao also said that India’s Consul from Chicago N.J. Gangte “has reached Milwaukee, [and] will meet families of victims and local Mayor to begin with."

Meanwhile, aerial television footage showed at least one body lying in a parking lot outside the gurdwara, even as breaking news indicated that law enforcement officers “returned fire and [a] shooter was put down.” Unconfirmed reports quoted an unnamed member of the Sikh community saying that a Sikh priest visiting from New Delhi was shot at the scene of the crime.

WHY the Sikhs? I did an anthropology final paper on them and visited their temple and even interviewed some of them. They are some of the most humanitarian people I have ever seen. They had a ceremony where they sung spiritual songs called kirtan and read a few paragraphs out of their book the Guru Granth. After it was over they served a meal to everyone including us. They seem like they would litteraly give you the shirt off your back. In short, they basically put the golden rule into daily practice in word deed and thought. Why shoot them for this? All I can say is Karma is going to come back hard if this really is a government conspiracy. If they come for the Sikhs, they will fight back, as they remember the persecution. To say I am angered by this is an incredible understatement!

The ones I knew, including my doctor back in NY would give you the shirt off their backs. He was building a house, how I met him I did his floors. He let me and my family go to his practice after for 20 bucks a visit. The electrician he had working for him, his wife got diagnosed with cancer. The doctor paid out of his own pocket for her treatment.

The crocodile tears in lamenting another, now expected shooting by those who effectively enable such atrocity to occur through their own insecurity is quite rich.

Good luck with the Indian media on this one, Derpmerica. It cost the Aussies billions in foreign student revenue after a mere handful of student muggings. I can only imagine how the hysterical sub-continental news-media will paint this calamity...

Though police have not given any details on the identity or motive of the shooter, or released the identities of the victims, sources have told ABC News the shootings are the work of a "white supremacist" or "skinhead."

So you have MSM reporting rumors. Citing anon sources, but could likely be made up altogether.

By now you have likely heard that there was a mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in Oak Park, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee) where 6 innocent worshippers plus the gunman who attacked the congregation were killed.

This affects our CE-5 community because our very own 'Sirius' filmmaker, Amardeep (Arm) Kaleka, is a member of that temple. His father is the President of the Congregation and was shot in the back while tackling the gunman. I don't know the elder Kaleka's condition at the present time.

Our hearts go out to those who lost their lives and to their loved ones.

Could we come together as One, as a global CE-5 community, to send heartfelt and powerful healing and protective prayers to Arm, to his father, and to Arm's family? Whatever positive spiritual energy you can offer will certainly be appreciated by those who are inside of this crisis.

Arm will experience a challenge to care for his father and to complete the Sirius documentary with Steve Greer and their staffs. I personally don't know how this turn of events will affect 'Sirius' in any of its aspects.

But, we simply can ask the Cosmos that the Highest Good come out of this tragic event for the people involved, for the production and distribution of Sirius, and for all life on Earth and beyond.

If any of you have any words of comfort to share for Arm and his family, send them to me. I will compile them and make sure that Arm receives them.

Well if this is true, then it blows the whole one gunman story out of the water. Unless said gunman was stretch armstrong.

Considering the number of Legal Gun owners in the U.S. these "Mass Shootings" are a pretty rare occurrence. Having been raised in a family who enjoys Legally owning and using Guns there will never under any circumstances be a day when I will freely give up any of mine to this Government or any other. Guns are part of what makes Americans who they are and taking them away or severely limiting access to them from responsible owners will only bring more outrage and massive violence if need be when we stand up for the Rights we believe in.

Having served in the Military and as a retired LEO let me remind the U.S. Citizens that the key role of Police is Law Enforcement not Protection of the Populace which is exactly why we have and still need the 2nd Amendment.

Has anyone got enough information yet to know whether 'multiple' gunmen could have been one or more CCW members of the Hindus themselves?

These are peaceful people but they aren't Quakers. India has a respectable history of defending themselves and it wouldn't shock me if a couple people here could have been armed themselves. That would make for extreme confusion among witnesses, I'd guess.

SO many unknowns on this, all we DO know is that a shooting happened and the victim count?

In regards to there being more than one gunman I was about to post a video of an interview where a man refers to multiple gunmen and says there was four men dressed in black who entered the building but its been removed :/

These people are pathetic, and should simply off themselves or find professional help instead of taking the lives on innocent people. Makes me sick.

TPTB are ramping it up. Kept saying all last winter and spring that things were going to start up as we head into 2013. I was told by the ol ones that 2013 will be known as the year from hell. Everyone get ready. This is a big fat psyop to make everyone scared as hell. I talked to my neighbor lady earlier who says she is not going anywhere and that they are going on lock down now. They have their things stocked up. But you see this is what is wanted, they want to plant fear in your mind. Just like 9/11 they plant fear into everyone. Some people still won't fly to this day.

I predict that we will keep seeing this until the people are begging the govt to do something.

US Gurudwara shooter had 9/11 tattoo, say reports: 10 developments

1- The Oak Creek police have said they are treating it as "a domestic terrorist-type incident". An FBI agent said in a statement, "While the FBI is investigating whether this matter might be an act of domestic terrorism, no motive has been determined at this time."

2- Witnesses have described the attacker as a tall, bald, white man, about 40 years of age, dressed in a white T-shirt and black military pants and had many tattoos. One witness said he spotted a 9/11 tattoo on one arm of the shooter. The police suspect that the man lives close to the Gurudwara. A law enforcement official said he was not wearing a bullet proof vest.

3- The New York Times has quoted a local Sikh resident Manjit Singh as saying, "Everyone here is thinking this is a hate crime for sure... people think we are Muslims." Inter-faith groups have condemned the Wisconsin Gurudwara shooting incident, describing it as a "senseless" act of violence on religious freedom. Members of the local community in Oak Creek have expressed solidarity with the victims of the shootout.

Though the gunman was killed outside the temple not long after the shooting spree began, it wasn't until shortly before noon that a police SWAT team entered the building and brought uninjured people out.

Haven't the cops been crowing since Columbine about how they now train to go after the active shooter right away instead of waiting for SWAT to show up? Maybe they really did have a hostage situation, like early reports said.
