i heard also that the congregation was getting ready to join together in a large dinner with 300-400 folks attending. it sounds like many of the men hadn't arrived yet? did the shooter know this was going to occur but get his timing off? or was the scheduled dinner delayed? i don't know if it's a regular dinner thing every sunday but it is odd that the shooter would target them on a day like today (with the large dinner scheduled). without knowing more it appears that he was hoping for high causalities.

my heart, thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims, families, friends, and our nation. this is happening way too often. it is so tragic. those poor souls, i feel for them.

Copycat type thing, could be.

News has a way of 'infecting' the minds of people and letting them feel like those feelings they had about just thinking of doing something, were the feelings someone else had right before they --actually did it--.

I'm not making this up. It happens with shootings, suicides, and other things, like shopping. (If you are in a store and people were rushing to buy things, you are more likely to do so. People spend more money in shopping malls as a result.)

It is kind of like monkey see, monkey do, but it's more about feeling what you were planning to do is something people end up doing as an actual event.

It works in positive ways too. If you are job hunting and hear about a friend who just got a job, you are more motivated and confidant. (Not always, ok, but, you get the idea.)

They were interiewing a indian Sikh speaking english by phone on CNN
he was speaking about a conspiracy behind this
his volume was so low compare to the cnn anchor interupting him all the time
and the volume of the guy turn off and the anchor say apparently we have lost communication
but it sounded very important .. i think he said the government or the elite
he was shot down to quickly and the anchor said to him a few time to stay on topic lol
wish i could relisten to this particular interview
i was in the kitchen when ii heard something weird about this internview
quickly ran beside the tv just before he was cut off

then there is the other info about a big Sikh leader that was shot dead
that was visiting the temple on SUNday and was coming from India

this will enrage many peacefull people that their sikh leader has been coldblooded assasinated in the US

President Barack Obama was notified of the shooting shortly before 1 p.m. by his Homeland Security adviser, John Brennan, and was receiving updates on the incident.

That interesting so any "mass shooting" the president gets notified or was it because "it was a hate criime"

Sensationalism at it's finest.

No way. This guy was dropped off. Priests were executed. My assumption, is this was religiously motivated.

CNN breaking news, live coverage. The Temple building has been cleared by swat teams, they are now going through the parking lot, searching cars. I wonder if they are looking for the possible car of the dead shooter....

I was watching a news feed from the Temple. Many witnesses reported the guy was dropped off. They could be wrong, of course.

Alright here is something. The Aurora shootings were 7 days before the Olympic opening and the date was loaded with 21's, 777's.

This shooting is 12 days before the closing date of the Olympics, Aug 12th.

They seem to be planned events.

My heart goes out to those affected, another tragedy, when is it going to stop? At times like this i remember that famous speech by Ronald Reagan, about how the population of Earth would come together if faced by alien forces.
