You've given your opinion that FOX lies more. I've yet to see proof.
You claim unbias? Yet you cannot show it.

I remember one time a few months after 911, a reporter on FOX news talking about 911 and saying "We will never forget that Wednesday Sept 11th", And I thought YOU FREAKING IDIOT IT WAS TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 11TH. I also remember the Death tolls that used to scroll on the bottom of the screen, and I noted that FOX always was 1000's off not hundreds, but the death toll was THOUSANDS higher than in reality. (not that there were not enough deaths as it was)

In reality our major news sources are a bunch Liars

Oh please!
They ALL are really bad. Fox is not the worst. Not even close.
You need to get out more. Guess you haven't seen MSNBC/NBC have you?

Yes, it has been exposed many times. More so than any other US network.

My experience is that most Fox fans subscribe to the dogmas of a cult mentality and they will simply not be ready to admit a single lie. Or are they?

My challenge here is as follows: show me any self-described "conservatives" who prefer or like the news reporting done on Fox - AND who are ready to grant or admit ANY ONE of the proven lies or mistakes in news reporting already cited in this thread.

Come on, guys and gals, doesn't take long, declare you are a Conservative Fox news watcher (to whatever extent) AND that you admit a particular lie or a mistake - just pick your choice from the examples supplied!

That would be the only valid way to prove you have critical thinking and that the whole thing is not simply about "howling along with the pack..."

The OP obviously demonstrated critical thinking, in contrast to the extreme generalizations and the hysteria of typical cult members (which I admit does happen on the so-called left as well as the right).

Wow, so there is one news source who does not agree with you, wahhhhhhhhhh. They are a cable news network, I can site dozens of pages with lies put forth by CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and NBC, again they are all news channels, none of which do reliable journalism. Like a typical leftist you want all the toys, no one is allowed to have an opinion unless it agrees with yours. Fox news reports on things you disagree with, believe it or not, there is a large part of the population that disagrees with you, thus Fox is their outlet.

People like yourself will continue to attack anything that does not conform to your opinon, but that is what a leftist does, avoid intelligent debate. I personally watch all the news networks, but I'm OK with other people having opinions, I may not agree with them, but I do not resent them.

All news networks put out biased opinions and poor jounalistic practices. Thats just todays media. This post is not about how Fox lies, but more about you being upset there is a network who does not share your opinion, and worse, it is the most popular cable news network. So, despite your protest people will continue to watch Fox as a new source, unless we get a "chavez/putin" style government.

Fox spins right, CNN spins left and MSNBC just spins all over the place like a drunken top.

If folks think Fox is worse, whatever... there is no changing opinions on this but there isn't a nickles worth of difference between them all to my thinking. They are *ALL* good on Live coverage when they have a human being standing at the event, as it's happening. Then again a chimp could hold the mic and hoo hoo hoo at us with about as much information as they sometimes give, even live.

Outside of Live? They all draw their stuff from common sources and each other, so all that ever really changes between them is the direction of the spin and the speed they spin it. It's all 'treated' for 'proper' presentation.

Its ok. Don't get all huffy.
We are allowed to acknowledge the problem with all networks, yet stay the course while agreeing that Fox happens to be the worst.

What you are trying to do, is imply the OP is giving other networks a pass, or that other networks aren't at fault. That's not what they were doing. They all misrep the truth.
Fox happens to be the Goebbels of the modern day media. Fact.

FlyersFan,

Please read the posts before commenting. Your following sites are about bias not outright lying!
newsbusters.org...
www.liveleak.com...
www.thehopeforamerica.com...
www.conservapedia.com...
illinoisreview.typepad.com...
nation.foxnews.com...
O.K. That was easy, now for the “legitimate” stuff.
www.huffingtonpost.com...
That is hardly an outright lie.
www.usatoday.com...
O.K. One producer screwed up and got fired. However, to claim that NBC tried to start a race war for political reasons is absurd. Have any fox “news” producers ever been fired when they edit a tape? If you are consistent then Hannity should be fired, along with his producer.
www.youtube.com...
As for the Remington site. I agree that the issue regarding the safety of that particular gun is contentious. However, to state one’s opinion is not an outright lie.
As for, the “NBC Lies about Colorado Gun Laws” site. Read your own site. The quote is “it turns out Colorado has SOME of the weakest gun laws in the country.”

“You've given your opinion that FOX lies more. I've yet to see proof.”
Beezzer
www.thedailyshow.com...
You really need to start reading posts. BTW if that’s not enough I supplied you with many more. And if that is not enough,
www.politifact.com...
mediamatters.org...
I’m tired of being the only one ( with the exception FlyersFan, whose claims I refuted) that provides evidence to be considered and debated. The other posts I ignore (like “Wow, so there is one news source who does not agree with you, wahhhhhhhhhh.” ) because how can you respond intelligently to childish name calling?

You keep saying that without a shred of evidence to back it up. Fox is one network. The left has a dozen networks and dont even get me started on print media.

YOU stated that FOX lies MORE.

You have yet to provide empirical evidence that supports your claim.

I'll make it easy for you.

In the past 10 years how many lies has;
ABC
NBC
MSNBC
CBS
FOX
CNN
PBS

Told.

Waiting.

The truth of the matter is ALL news sources lie ,T.V. ,radio and news papers ,and they all put their own spin on it.
Fox is the only news source that has been to court on the issue of truth in reporting and they won.
The court ruling set a precedent for all news sources; "THERE IS NO LAW, RULE OR REGULATION THAT REQUIRES ANY NEWS SOURCE OR MEDIA OUTLET TO REPORT THE TRUTH !"
What don't you people understand ?
The opinions expressed here clearly represent the mentality of most people. That lying is ok , depending on the source and degree of the lie .And we wonder whats wrong with america.
Oh, don't forget to vote for the lesser of two evils for president.

These figures for FOX include "The Factor" and "Hannity" viewing figures, both of which like to continually tell us that they are NOT news programs, but are opinion shows.

It's about time that the FCC force FOX to put all their "opinion" shows onto another network away from their main news network, and see how the ratings change.

What's scary is that most Americans get their news from FOX News, and believe all the partisan rhetoric that is spouted on a daily basis. It's no wonder that America is currently more divided along political lines than USA ever was at the time of the Civil War.

Bias IS LYING. (and I provided evidence of massive outright lies as well)
You started a thread about lying in the media and you don't know that?
You said FOX is the worst. It is not. They are all equally bad. I have shown it.
Seriously .. just admit they are all equally bad but in different (left/right) directions.
It's right there looking you in the face ...

I responded to each and every of your sites. I have shown that they do not show lies at MSN . I have also shown many many outright lies at fox. If you disagree , give me an argument or evidence. Simply saying, "you're wrong" is not an argument and is a waste of a post.

“Bias IS LYING.”
FlyersFan
Nope. For example; I love my wife, I am biased in favor of her. If I say that she is very smart, I am not lying. I can even provide supporting evidence. She is a member of en.wikipedia.org... .
To be honest, I am skeptical that IQ tests are accurate. I did not make it in!
