...it seems your system makes the patient more a part of their own treatment team - that your system actually involves the patient in their own treatment. Here, it's pretty much pharmaceuticals or nothing.

Hi Again,

Quickly...so I/we don't take this too further off-topic (in which case I'd have to *Off-Topic Warn* myself, hahaha)

My country still very much is loaded towards pharmaceuticals. We're not that different to many other MH Systems still. Sure, don't get me wrong, I do believe there is a place for medications...I just don't believe that place is everywhere at every time, which unfortunately seems to be the perspectives of far too many other clinicians in the sector.
I do believe there are chemical factors, imbalances and the like that contribute/spur on potential unwellness...but there are also a multitude of other psycho-social factors that have just as (if not more in my opinion) impact upon how the person may cope with or process those things...and so, again just my opinion, its all about providing as many options and pathways as possible.

At the end of the day its whatever works for the person that must surely be paramount...not so much what I may think works for them. Its their life, their body, their choice...one of the last things I think we should ever do is force a way of being on another person (of course being mindful of risk etc)...it tends not to work.
Ultimately wellness is about personal empowerment...personal empowerment is cemented by personal choice. All we can do is offer options.

Cheers.

Thank you for posting what I was thinking! Sadly though, these types of threads usually end without an update. The op's usually go MIA for a bit after. Of course I could be wrong though

Some things I've seen, heard and experienced when working with people or when doing assessments would make any doubter a believer.
Stuff like the person telling you extremely detailed things about your past history, events and such that theres NO way in heck they would ever know. I've seen lumps moving under peoples skin, seen people just buckle and contort in ways literally humanly impossible due to skeletal structure...even seen objects literally fly across a room with noone anywhere near them to have moved them.
Its hard not to at least entertain those possibilities when you see shyte like that...and when others are in the room who also witness it!

You might be interested in a thread series I'm planning/ preparing, the introduction to which is linked HERE

I noticed someone else in-thread who claimed to work in mental health, who seems to hold only to a Western medical model for the interpretation of all cases of mental illness. It is obvious that the person in question hasn't worked with the most severely afflicted, or that they have willfully blinded themselves to the stranger aspects of what goes down 'in the system'.

As you say, and as I say (we both have experience of the system and the reality of demonic affliction, from distinct but equally important perspectives) - the reality of the demonic is not in question, once you have seen/ experienced certain things within the MH system.

I'm intrigued by the point you made about 'lumps moving under the skin'. Were they on the torso, beneath the ribcage? I ask because I have had/ continue to have a specific experience relating to this phenomenon, and plan to investigate further and hopefully prepare a thread on the subject at some point soon. The phenomenon in question began during a very strange 'sleep paralysis/ entity visitation' at the height of my demonic oppression, thirteen years ago, just before I was brought into the MH system. Even after my eventual spiritual deliverance this real, physical issue has continued, and I have even heard X-Ray technicians discussing the strangeness of the 'thing' which is causing it, when analysing my X-Rays (was X-Rayed for inexplicable, severe abdominal pain last year).

I have tried to research the phenomenon online, but there is NOTHING to be found - not even speculative bloggers - and I believe this is evidence of a cover-up of something very real, and very terrible. I will be happy to explain further if invited to do so, but perhaps by private message so as not to take the thread off-topic.

Hey OP
Considering the amount of interest your thread generated I think we are deserving of an update.

Firstly and most importantly I hope you or your coworkers contacted the police by now.
If what you said is true it should have been done right away while she was still on the premises.
In light of the recent shootings in Colorado, We don't need this to be the next mass casualty event. It just isn't something to take a chance on it not being..

If you haven't done so already CALL THE POLICE!!

I'm here! We watched the video and... Like I thought, there was nothing odd on there. I may be stupid, but I used my own money to do a background check... Aaaand NOTHING except that she lives with her parents... Same address and has had 8 previous addresses in previous years... No felonies, misdemeanors. Nothing. She is probably just a harmless schizophrenic. Which was my prediction all along

Well the first clue that shes not all there is the statement about the way her hair look since the very first time she walk into the salon, obviously she had pull her own hair before, due to a crisis of some kind, dont think that shes the real satanistic lunatic that becomes a killer, but in my opinion you guys need to refuse service and report the incident to autorities maybe she holds more clues about crimes commited in the past.

Someone suggested that we call the police even if she is harmless. We called mainly for her well being, saying that we were concerned about her.

Thanks for the update Doxie. Really appreciate it. Boy, you went over and beyond, paying for a background check out of your own pocket. I'm impressed. You took to heart the possible safety of you, and your co-workers.

I think you did the right thing in making a report. Now, it's on file, just in the event she does go off the deep end in the future. It makes it easier for her to get any help she may need. No harm done in any way.

Bet you and your co-workers, also have some peace of mind in the work place too.

Thanks again Doxie. This was an interesting and informative thread to follow. I learned some things I didn't know from other members. That's what ATS is all about to me....sharing and learning.

Thanks for the update! What were expecting to see on the tape exactly?

Just because there's nothing on her background check doesn't mean that her making threats is okay?

But I do agree with you,she is probably harmless. But I'd still keep my guard up if she comes around again.

well like I said to someone else, we have a few people in our salon that are very religious and believe in demon possession. They honestly thought this woman was possessed and would see something odd on the camera.

Doxie, obviously you've done your best to calm people in the salon, but as per the message I sent you, don't be lulled into a false sense of security just because her background check came up clear.

There's a lot of suggestive detais in the testimony you presented in the OP, and later by message, that suggest you should be on guard concerning this lady and her affliction.

Keep the guard up, and if I were you, I would ask the authorities to perform a 'wellness check' as per several other members in-thread. They will be able to tell (hopefully) that this lady is not in full control of her faculties at present - regardless of her former condition - and that she would quite likely benefit from some sabbatical time in a facility while her condition is assessed. It is also, in my humble opinion, vital that you consider the safety of your salon co-workers in this matter.

Whether people believe in the demonic or not, it is a highly uneducated position (whether they are religious or otherwise) for your colleagues to adopt the attitude that 'because nothing was seen on camera, nothing was going on'. Real life is not Hollywood, and the visible signs of the supernatural are not always present. In fact, there are usually no visible signs that can be caught on camera - the nature of the beast is to hide, unless it has an agenda. The very facts of what you all experienced, and the instincts which were at play in your reactions to this lady, are highly suggestive that something is seriously amiss.

Be careful, and see about getting her investigated by the relevant authorities. No matter how many people on here cry 'conspiracy' or 'totalitarian oppression', the fact is, that people under these sorts of afflictions sometimes need to be taken out of the general population of society for a while, for their own well-being and for the well-being of others.

'No past history' is not an indication of 'no risk'. These things can start suddenly, and severely.

Ahh I see. Well no,that lady wasn't possessed.

It's either mental illness or she was on something.

Like I said though,I wouldn't let your guard down when/if she comes around again.
